Ninety percent of an average Chinese manufacturer's time spent is on logistics. Therefore, logistics presents the greatest challenge for multinational companies conducting businesses in China. Although more than 18,000 registered logistics companies exist in China, 85 percent of their revenues are generated from basic trucking and storage services. These facts indicate that China will need increasing presence of high-quality foreign 3PL providers, who are able to provide sophisticated IT systems, industry/operational expertise, standardized operating processes, and international networks, compared to their Chinese counterparts. However, they are facing complicated array of laws and regulations as well as difficulty of finding qualified people to fulfill these needs.There are a number of foreign 3PL providers engaged in China's logistics sector to reap a huge opportunity. Nevertheless, many 3PL foreign providers are still cautious about making large investments. Thus they arelooking for alliances that can provide complementarities instead. Another salient feature of strategy is to take over the transportation assets and warehousing of major Chinese manufacturers and distributors.

Searching for Best Practices in Developing Ports as Logistics Centers

Global firms are seeking to implement their global logistics strategies in two ways: the use of centralized inventories and/or postponement of final assembly. These strategies stress the importance of regional logistics centers. In most cases, regional logistics centers are located in or near ports so that changing demands can be met with economy, reliability and flexibility, The port can profit not only from the activities of logistics center itself, but also the increasing flow of cargo through the logistics center. A number of ports respond to this trend by shifting their emphasis from traditional cargo-handling services to value-added services. This paper presents guidelines drawn from the best practices of ports to be successful logistics centers to provide many aspects of value-added logistics services. These include: Effective Planning and Development of Logistics Centers; Institutional Incentive Scheme; Development of Free Trade Zones; Financing Infrastructure related to Logistics Centers; Developing Logistics Service Providers and Logistics Professionals; Development of Information Technology; and Regulatory and Administrative Issues. These guidelines will help managers of ports and policy makers of governments in the East Asian region learn to recognize, analyze and adopt the best practices for use.

항공화물운송서비스 품질에 대한 서비스 이용자와 제공자간의 중요도 인식 차이에 관한 연구

본 논문은 항공화물운송서비스 부문의 서비스 이용자와 제공자와 사이의 서비스 품질 중요도의 차이에 대한 연구이다. 즉, 조사된 서비스 수준 결정요인을 중심으로 국제항공물류서비스의 제공자가 지각하고 있는 요소별 중요도와 제공된 서비스에 대해 이용자의 중요도의 차이를 연구하였다. 또한 서비스 제공자는 국적항공사와 외국적 항공사와 구분하여 그 차이를 살펴보았다. 연구에서는 서비스 항목을 공급능력(H/W), 서비스 신뢰성, 운임경쟁력 및 운영능력(S/W)으로 구분하였으며, 각 항목에는 다시 3개에서 6개의 서비스 요소를 총 18개로 세분하였다. 서비스 항목의 중요도 및 인지도에 있어서 서비스 제공자와 이용자간의 중요도에서는 차이가 없었다. 항목별로 보다 세분화된 서비스요소에서는 총 18개 서비스 요소 중 단 3개의 요소에서만 중요도 차이가 있는 것으로 인식 하였다. 그러나 서비스 제공자를 국적항공사와 외국적항공사로 구분을 한 경우에는 7개의 구성요소에서 서비스 제공자(국적항공사, 외국적항공사)와 이용자간의 중요도에 관한 인식의 차이를 보이고 있다. 특히 국적항공사는 화물사고처리능력에 가장 큰 중요도를 두고 있는데 반해 외국적항공사는 기본요율체계에 높은 비중을 두었고 차이를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 서비스 품질의 중요도에 대한 인식의 차이를 분석하기 위해서는 국적항공사와 외국적항공사 간에 뚜렷한 차이가 존재하므로 서비스 제공자가 하나의 그룹으로 총체적으로 분석되어서는 안 됨을 의미한다.

알파벳과 숫자 쓰는 기술을 향상시키기 위한 CAI 시스템

본 연구에서는 알파벳과 숫자를 가르치고 쓰는 기술을 향상시키기 위해 태블릿을 기반으로한 CAI 시스템을 소개한다. 본 시스템에서는 각 글자들에 대해 획이 쓰여질 때마다 그 획의 시작 위치, 끝 위치, 그리고 중간 부분을 평가하여 그 중 하나라도 허용 오차 범위를 벗어나면 적절한 교정 메시지를 제공한다. 모든 지시 및 교정 메시지는 청각 및 시각 둘 다를 사용하여 주어지고, 각 글자들에 대해 이름을 소리로 들을 수 있다. 아울러 본 시스템은 영어 단어에 대해 그 객체의 이미지를 보고 또한 발음을 들으며 철자를 공부할 수 있는 기능, 그림 그리기 기능, 그리고 게임 기능도 가지고 있다.

This paper presents a new voltage down converter (VDC) using charge and discharge current adjustment circuitry that provides High frequency Application. This VDC consist of a common driving circuit and compensation circuits : 3 sensors and each driving transistors for controlling gate current of driving transistor. This is designed with a 0.65㎛ Nwell CMOS technology. In HSPICE simulation results. Internal Voltage is bounded (+4.25%, -2.99%) in proposed circuitry. That is forth faster than common driving circuit. Total current dissipation is 62.866㎂ and Total power consumption is 15.7㎽.

Clustering is an effective mechanism for retrieving objects in an object-oriented databases. There is an edge-load scheme proposed for the slustering of IsA relationship. The edge-load scheme can be used as the useful clustering method of IsA relationship in some storage model of object-oriented system. In this paper, the edge-load scheme was spplied to the clustering method of IsA relationship and performance analysis was conducted by simulation.

게임트리 검색에서 변화량 추적에 의한 사이클 검출 기법

In this paper, we represents the method that effectively detects and eliminates the cycles on a tree space that generated during a game tree searching. Also we implement a procedure that manage moves and sequences dynamically based on object-oriented methodology. The purposed method is designed to detect effectively with consistent procedure independent of the generated form and type. Also the method traces the variation drived by moves and dectects cycles with it. Therefore we detect with a little temporal cost. And through experiments, we verify the reasonability of the method.
