Interference Pricing based Resource Allocation for D2D Communications in Cellular Networks

( Xiaomeng Li ),( Tiejun Lv ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.9

We consider the Device-to-Device (D2D) communications in cellular networks where each cellular user (CU) shares the same resource with multiple D2D users (DUs). In this paper, we aim to maximize the energy efficiency (EE) of the D2D networks, subject to an interference constraint required by the CU. Since the cellular and D2D communications belong to different networks, we consider to incentivize base station (BS) while assisting the DUs. To this end, we propose a Stackelberg game based interference pricing framework for the considered D2D communications in cellular networks. Unlike most of the existing methods, we use interference pricing framework to jointly address the EE resource allocation problem and the interference management in our networks rather than only improve the EE of the DUs or protect cellular networks. In particular, BS and all the users do not need all channel state information, which is more realistic in practice. In addition, two different pricing strategies are also proposed. Based on the two strategies, we analyze the equilibrium of the game. Moreover, in the first strategy, the upper and lower boundaries of the interference price are obtained. The closed-form expression is gained with a backward induction for the second strategy. Both offer valuable insights to the considered scenarios. Finally, compared with the existing work, the EE of the D2D communications is significantly improved. The advantageous performance of our scheme are demonstrated by the simulation results.

Developing homogeneous ion exchange membranes derived from sulfonated polyethersulfone/N-phthaloyl-chitosan for improved hydrophilic and controllable porosity

        Zhixue Li,Zhun Ma,Yuting Xu,Xiaomeng Wang,Yongchao Sun,Rong Wang,Jian Wang,Xueli Gao,Jun Gao 한국화학공학회 2018 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.35 No.8

Ion exchange membranes (IEMs) composed of sulfonated poly (ether sulfone) (SPES) and N-phthaloyl chitosan (NPHCs) were synthesized. NPHCs was employed in membrane fabrication to improve the porosity and hydrophilicity of membranes. The effect of blend ratio of sulfonation (DS) and NPHCs content on physico-chemical characteristics of home-made membranes was investigated. The morphology of prepared membranes was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM images revealed the formation of a more porous membrane structure and smoother surface. The electrochemical and physical properties of CEMs were characterized comprising water content, contact angle, ion exchange capacity (IEC) and thermal stability. Membrane water content, surface hydrophilicity and IEC were enhanced with increase of DS and NPHCs blend ratios in casting solution. Furthermore, the diffusion coefficient was also improved slightly with increase of DS and NPHCs blend ratios in prepared membranes. Membrane potential, permselectivity, transport number and areal membrane resistance all showed decreasing trends by the increase in NPHCs blend ratio in casting solution. These results indicated that the prepared membrane has good prospective and great potential for desalination in electrodialysis applications.

      • Experimental study on shear, tensile, and compression behaviors of composite insulated concrete sandwich wall

        Zhang, Xiaomeng,Zhang, Xueyong,Liu, Wenting,Li, Zheng,Zhang, Xiaowei,Zhou, Yilun Techno-Press 2021 Advances in concrete construction Vol.11 No.1

A new type of composite insulated concrete sandwich wall (ICS-wall), which is composed of a triangle truss steel wire network, an insulating layer, and internal and external concrete layers, is proposed. To study the mechanical properties of this new ICS-wall, tensile, compression, and shearing tests were performed on 22 specimens and tensile strength and corrosion resistance tests on 6 triangle truss joints. The variables in these tests mainly include the insulating plate material, the thickness of the insulating plate, the vertical distance of the triangle truss framework, the triangle truss layout, and the connecting mode between the triangle truss and wall and the material of the triangle truss. Moreover, the failure mode, mechanical properties, and bearing capacity of the wall under tensile, shearing, and compression conditions were analyzed. Research results demonstrate that the concrete and insulating layer of the ICS-wall are pulling out, which is the main failure mode under tensile conditions. The ICS-wall, which uses a graphite polystyrene plate as the insulating layer, shows better tensile properties than the wall with an ordinary polystyrene plate. The tensile strength and bearing capacity of the wall can be improved effectively by strengthening the triangle truss connection and shortening the vertical distances of the triangle truss. The compression capacity of the wall is mainly determined by the compression capacity of concrete, and the bonding strength between the wall and the insulating plate is the main influencing factor of the shearing capacity of the wall. According to the tensile strength and corrosion resistance tests of Austenitic stainless steel, the bearing capacity of the triangle truss does not decrease after corrosion, indicating good corrosion resistance.

Fault-tolerant Control for Uncertain Vehicle Active Steering Systems with Time-delay and Actuator Fault

        Lin Chen,Xiaomeng Li,Wenbin Xiao,Panshuo Li,Qi Zhou 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.9

In this paper, the fuzzy control problem for uncertain time-delay active steering systems with actuator fault is investigated. Due to the variation of vehicle mass, Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is introduced to describe the uncertainties by employing the sector nonlinearity method. In the process of signal transmission, the network-induced delay and packet dropouts are unavoidable. To handle this problem, a robust H∞ controller is designed to regulate the vehicle lateral motion. A fault-tolerant controller is designed to reduce the impact of actuator fault on the vehicle active steering systems. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient conditions are established to ensure that the resulting closed-loop system is asymptotically stable with the prescribed H∞ performance. Simulation results are provided to confirm the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed control scheme.

Observer-based Event-triggered Sliding Mode Control for Markov Jump Systems with Partially Unknown Transition Probabilities

        Wenshuai Lin,Xiaomeng Li,Deyin Yao,Xiaobin Gao,Qi Zhou 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.7

This paper investigates the event-triggered sliding mode control problem for discrete-time Markov jumpsystems under the unavailable states and partially unknown transition probabilities. To save the limited computational source, an event-triggered scheme is implemented to determine whether the current data should be sentor not, and an observer is constructed to estimate the unmeasurable states of the system. Then, on the basis ofthe Lyapunov functional technique, the sufficient conditions of stochastic stability for the closed-loop system arederived. Moreover, the sliding mode controller based on event-triggered mechanism is designed to ensure that thestate trajectories of the closed-loop system can be driven onto the predefined sliding manifold and maintain therefor all subsequent time. Finally, a numerical example is utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposedmethod.

Alterations of mRNA and lncRNA profiles associated with the extracellular matrix and spermatogenesis in goats

        Chen Haolin,Miao Xiaomeng,Xu Jinge,Pu Ling,Li Liang,Han Yong,Mao Fengxian,Ma Youji 아세아·태평양축산학회 2022 Animal Bioscience Vol.35 No.4

Objective: Spermatozoa are produced within the seminiferous tubules after sexual maturity. The expression levels of mRNAs and lncRNAs in testicular tissues are different at each stage of testicular development and are closely related to formation of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and spermatogenesis. Therefore, we set out to study the expression of lncRNAs and mRNAs during the different developmental stages of the goat testis. Methods: We constructed 12 RNA libraries using testicular tissues from goats aged 3, 6, and 12 months, and studied the functions of mRNAs and lncRNAs using the gene ontogeny (GO) and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) databases. Relationships between differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were analyzed by lncRNA-mRNA coexpression network and protein-protein interaction network (PPI). Finally, the protein expression levels of matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP2), insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2), and insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 6 (IGFBP6) were detected by western blotting. Results: We found 23, 8, and 135 differentially expressed lncRNAs and 161, 12, and 665 differentially expressed mRNAs that were identified between 3 vs 6, 6 vs 12, and 3 vs 12 months, respectively. GO, KEGG, and PPI analyses showed that the differential genes were mainly related to the ECM. Moreover, MMP2 was a hub gene and co-expressed with the lncRNA TCONS-0002139 and TCONS-00093342. The results of quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction verification were consistent with those of RNA-seq sequencing. The expression trends of MMP2, IGF2, and IGFBP6 protein were the same as that of mRNA, which all decreased with age. IGF2 and MMP2 were significantly different in the 3 vs 6-month-old group (p<0.05).Conclusion: These results improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in sexual maturation of the goat testis. Application of galactinol to tomato enhances tolerance to cold and heat stresses

        Liu Yudong,Zhang Li,Ma Jian,Meng Sida,Pang Chunpeng,Zhao Xiaomeng,Zhang Huidong,Wang Shou,Xu Tao,He Yi,Liu Yufeng,Qi Mingfang 한국원예학회 2022 Horticulture, Environment, and Biotechnology Vol.63 No.3

Galactinol, a galactosyl donor, is the key substrate in raffinose family oligosaccharide (RFO) biosynthesis pathways. Many studies proved that galactinol also regulates some defense-related genes to be transcribed as a sugar signal under biotic and abiotic stresses. There are four galactinol synthase (SlGolS) genes in tomato. In this study, SlGolS1, SlGolS2, and SlGolS4 responded to cold stress, especially SlGolS1 stems treated for 12 h and SlGolS4 stems treated for 24 h. Under heat stress, the expression levels of SlGolS1, SlGolS2, and SlGolS3, especially SlGolS1 and SlGolS2, increased in leaves, roots, and stems. When expressed in E. coli cells, SlGolS2 and SlGolS4 enhanced cold tolerance, whereas SlGolS1 and SlGolS3 improved heat tolerance. These results suggested that SlGolS family members played different roles in tolerance to cold and heat stresses. In addition, the application of galactinol or galactinol + α-galactosidase inhibitor (DGJ) improved the cold and heat tolerances of tomato plants, whereas the single application of DGJ had no effect. Interestingly, the applications of DGJ, galactinol, and galactinol + DGJ also affected the expression levels of SlRS, SlSTS, and SlAGAL under cold and heat stresses. These findings indicated that galactinol was involved in the biosynthesis pathways of RFOs as a galactosyl donor and regulated the expression levels of RFO biosynthesis and breakdown-related genes as a sugar signal under cold and heat stresses.

Optimized inverse distance weighted interpolation algorithm for γ radiation field reconstruction

        Zhang Biao,Cao Jinjia,Lin Shuang,Li Xiaomeng,Zhang Yulong,Zheng Xiaochang,Chen Wei,Song Yingming 한국원자력학회 2024 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.56 No.1

The inversion of radiation field distribution is of great significance in the decommissioning sites of nuclear facilities. However, the radiation fields often contain multiple mixtures of radionuclides, making the inversion extremely difficult and posing a huge challenge. Many radiation field reconstruction methods, such as Kriging algorithm and neural network, can not solve this problem perfectly. To address this issue, this paper proposes an optimized inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation algorithm for reconstructing the gamma radiation field. The algorithm corrects the difference between the experimental and simulated scenarios, and the data is preprocessed with normalization to improve accuracy. The experiment involves setting up gamma radiation fields of three Co-60 radioactive sources and verifying them by using the optimized IDW algorithm. The results show that the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the reconstruction result obtained by using the optimized IDW algorithm is 16.0%, which is significantly better than the results obtained by using the Kriging method. Importantly, the optimized IDW algorithm is suitable for radiation scenarios with multiple radioactive sources, providing an effective method for obtaining radiation field distribution in nuclear facility decommissioning engineering.
