In this study, the survival capacity (acid and bile salt tolerance, and adhesion to gut epithelial cells) and probiotic properties (enzyme activity-inhibition and anti-inflammatory activities, inhibition of adipogenesis, and stress hormone level reduction) of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum LRCC5314, isolated from kimchi (Korean traditional fermented cabbage), were investigated. LRCC5314 exhibited very stable survival at ph 2.0 and in 0.2% bile acid with 89.9% adhesion to Caco-2 intestinal epithelial cells after treatment for 2 h. LRCC5314 also inhibited the activities of α-amylase and α-glucosidase, which are involved in elevating postprandial blood glucose levels, by approximately 72.9% and 51.2%, respectively. Treatment of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells with the LRCC5314 lysate decreased the levels of the inflammatory factors nitric oxide, tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, and interferon-γ by 88.5%, 49.3%, 97.2%, and 99.8%, respectively, relative to those of the cells treated with LPS alone. LRCC5314 also inhibited adipogenesis in differentiating preadipocytes (3T3-L1 cells), showing a 14.7% decrease in lipid droplet levels and a 74.0% decrease in triglyceride levels, as well as distinct reductions in the mRNA expression levels of adiponectin, FAS, PPAR/γ, C/EBPα, TNF-α, and IL-6. Moreover, LRCC5314 reduced the level of cortisol, a hormone with important effect on stress, by approximately 35.6% in H295R cells. L. plantarum LRCC5314 is identified as a new probiotic with excellent in vitro multifunctional properties. Subsequent in vivo studies may further demonstrate its potential as a functional food or pharmabiotic.

서사철학적 관점의 새로운 『논어』 독법 : 자로의 인성함양을 중심으로

본고는 서사철학적 독법을 제안하며, 자로의 인성함양을 주제로 서사철학적 독법의 의미를 밝히고자 한다. 서사철학적 독법은 개념-논리-이론의 기존독법을 서사제재-서사세계-서사로 대체하여 고전을 읽어내는 방법을 가리킨다. 본고는 이러한 독법을 자로의 인성함양이라는 주제로 설명하고자 한다. 서사철학적 독법으로 분석한 자로의 인성함양은 아래와 같이 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 자로의 인성함양은 `장검(長劍)에서 슬(瑟)로`, `웅계(雄鷄)·가돈(?豚)에서 결영(結纓)으로` 라는 서사제재들 사이의 관계로 설명될 수 있다. 이제재들의 관계는 의가 없는 용(無義之勇)에서 의로운 용(有義之勇), 무례한용(無禮之勇)에서 예를 갖춘 용(有禮之勇), 무학의 거침(無學之野)에서 배움을 갖춘 예(有學之禮)로의 변화를 명확히 보여주고 있다. 둘째, 서사제재는 서사세계를 대동하고, 서사세계는 경전 안팎으로 확장되기 때문에, 서사의 지속과 연장은 필연적이다. 자로의 야(野)·례(禮)·용(勇)·인(仁)에 관한 서사는 실제로도 『설원』, 『한시외전』, 『공자세가』 등의 후대 주석서에서 생성된 서사세계 속에서 지속되고 연장되고 있다. 셋째, 『논어』의 독립적이고 분절적서사들이 자체적으로 완정한 조합을 지향하고 있다기보다는, 기본적으로 열린 서사 구조를 보여주고 있다. 『논어』가 열린 서사구조를 갖고 있기 때문에, 역대의 주석서나 관련 서적에서는 지속적으로 자로의 서사제재를 보충하고 서사세계를 연장할 수 있었다. 넷째, 서사철학적 독법은 『논어』를 비롯한 고전들의 도덕적 개념-논리-이론들을 서사제재-서사세계-서사 속에 풀어냄으로써, 구체적 인물의 인성 변화를 추적하는 데에 매우 적합하다. 다섯째, 서사철학적 독법으로 연장되고 재구성된 서사제재와 서사세계는 기존의 해석방법에 새로운 텍스트를 제공한다. 서사철학적 독법은 이렇게 경전의 내용에 기초해서 그 서사를 새롭게 생산함으로써, 경전의 가치와 의미를 확장시킬 수 있다. That a reading of Lunyu from the perspective of narrative philosophy is possible has already been proved by the historical studies or commentaries on Lunyu. In short, the significance of the new reading of Lunyu from the standpoint of narrative philosophy, can be summarized as follows: First, Lunyu can be interpreted through analysis of the relationship between narrative themes. Zilu as the subject of the narrative and the change of his ethical awareness in Lunyu can be explained in terms of the relationship between narrative themes: `from long sword to lyre`, `the ornament of cock feathers and boar leather` (雄鷄·?豚) to `wearing official hat properly` (結纓). These narrative themes clearly explain the meaning of from `bravery without righteousness` (無義之勇) to `bravery with righteousness` (有義之勇), from `bravery without courtesy` (無禮之勇) to `bravery with courtesy` (有禮之勇), and from `crudity without learning` (無學之野) to `courtesy with learning` (有學之禮). These narrative themes are also substitutes for the concepts and theories of ethics. Second, since the interpretation of a narrative is always based on the background of the narrative, that is, the narrative world, continuation and extension of the narrative are inevitable. The narrative of righteousness, bravery, filial piety, and courtesy of Zilu is actually continued and extended through the narrative world generated in commentaries like Shuoyuan (『說苑』), Hanshiwaizhuan (『韓詩外傳 』), and Kongzijiayu (『孔子家語』). Because the process of understanding the narratives of Lunyu is possible thorough access to the narrative world, a rediscovery of the value of meaning of Lunyu is read on the premise of the generation of the narrative world. Third, the narrative approach to the text of Lunyu, the narratives, and the narrative world are reconstructed. This paper could deal with the narrative of Zilu and the narrative world not because the narratives in Lunyu are oriented to a complete combination in themselves but because they show basically an open-ended narrative structure. Due to the open-ended narrative structure of Lunyu, the text is continuously reconstructed and reformed beyond space and time. Fourth, the Lunyu as a text of narrative philosophy does not contradict the Lunyu that has been analyzed by the conventional philosophical methodology that was creating theories by threading concepts with logic. Fifth, the reading of the text from the perspective of narrative philosophy offers a method to approach the morality and values of Lunyu, which had been measured by the perspective of moral metaphysics, from more diverse and multi-dimensional angles. These five aspects of the significance of the reading based on narrative philosophy tell us about the possibility of the reading Lunyu from the angle of narrative philosophy, and at the same time they indicate the significance of the reading based on narrative philosophy that is inherent in the text of Lunyu itself.

본고는 왕필철학 체계가 사상적ㆍ논리적으로 정합적이라거나 이중적이라는 논의로부터 벗어나서 왕필의 저작에 대한 분석을 통해서 기존왕필연구 방법론의 적합여부를 밝히는데 초점을 맞추었다. 결론적으로 말하자면, 기존 연구성과는 왕필을 포괄한 위진현학 전체를 가늠하기에 충분할 정도로 방법론과 내용에서 풍부했지만, 왕필철학의 내적 정합성을 지켜내기엔 부족하다고 하겠다. 본고에서는 왕필철학을 万有?本?, ???其方法, 本性?志向, 自然?名敎 네 부분으로 나누어 그 대립적 요소들을 서술하면서 동시에 이들 대립적 요소가 기존 연구에서 어떻게 설명되는지를 밝혔다. 이들 대립적 요소들은 기존의 연구성과들 속에서 체용이나 본말의 방법론 또는 유무본발, 언의지변, 자연명교의 방법론으로 연계되거나 결합되었지만, 이들 연계나 결합은 왕필철학 전체를 대상으로 했다기보다는 연계나 결합이 가능한 부분들만을 대상으로 하고 있다. 이점에서 보자면, 기존의 왕필연구 방법론으로는 왕필철학 전체를 온전하게 드러내기 힘들다고 말할 수 있다. 본고는 이러한 문제점을 드러내는 것으로 마감하면서 좀 더 다양한 왕필철학에 대한 독법의 출현을 기대해본다.

<P>We performed molecular dynamics simulations for various oligomers with different beta-sheet conformations consisting of alpha-Synuclein 71-82 residues using an all atom force field and explicit water model. Tetramers of antiparallel beta-sheet are shown to be stable, whereas parallel sheets are highly unstable due to the repulsive interactions between bulky and polar side chains as well as the weaker backbone hydrogen bonds. We also investigated the stabilities of double antiparallel beta-sheets stacked with asymmetric and symmetric geometries. Our results show that this 12 amino acid residue peptide can form stable beta-sheet conformers at 320K and higher temperatures. The backbone hydrogen bonds in beta-sheet and the steric packing between hydrophobic side chains between beta-sheets are shown to give conformational stabilities.</P>
