This study is to evaluate the structural stability of heavy duty structure of the Complex CNC automatic lathe. The analysis conditions were analyzed by applying the weight and load of the part itself and then applying the weight of the upper assembly unit. As a result of the structural analysis, the values of stress and strain are small and safety factor is high, and as a result of the dynamic analysis, there will be no resonance outside the equipment driving area, so there will be no problem in equipment stability.

In the semiconductor and display component industries, the use of ceramic materials, which are high-strength materials, is increasing for ensuring durability and wear resistance. Among them, alumina materials are used increasingly. Alumina materials are extremely difficult to process because of their high strength; as such, research and development in the area of mineral material processing is being promoted actively to improve their processing. In this study, the processability of an electrodeposition tool is investigated using the electrodeposition method to smoothly process alumina materials. Furthermore, processing is conducted under various processing conditions, such as spindle speed, feed speed, and depth of cut. In addition, the processing characteristics of the workpiece are analyzed based on the tooling.

Lipids account for 30-40% of the biological and chemical oxygen demand in wastewater treatment plant influents. High amounts of lipids are also present in microbial communities that treat the wastewater in typical conventional activated sludge plants. Production of biodiesel from high price pure triglyceride based feed stock is economically not feasible although conversion technology is mature in Korea. Keeping this idea of using low cost feedstock for biodiesel production a laboratory scale experimental work was setup while using different solvents for lipid extraction and their conversion to mono-alkyl esters also known as biodiesel. Some of the parameters studied for one and two step conversion were ex situ and in situ extraction of lipids, using the low cost polar and non-polar solvents, alcohol to lipid molar ratio, volume of homogeneous acidic catalyst required for optimized conversion. It was found that solvent type used for lipid extraction from wastewater sludge has a major impact on the saponifiable oil extraction, along with the moisture content of the sludge. Extraction temperature also influences the oil content in the extract. Increased extraction yield of 72% oil was noted with a mixture of polar and non- polar solvents. Highest ester yield of 95% recorded in two hours with one step esterification method.
연속회분식 처리시스템에서 인공하수를 이용한 Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs)의 생산

인공폐수로 연속회분식 하수처리시스템에서 바이오플라스틱인 PHAs의 생산에 대하여 연구하였다. 실험은 하수처리장에서 식종슬러지를 채취하고, 실험실 내에서 제작된 인공하수를 이용하여 4 L 규모의 2조의 연속회분식반응기로 수행하였다. 인공하수의 영양조건(C/N/P)은 42:10:1로 운전되었으며, 연속회분식반응기는 호기상태에서 Feast/Famine 조건을 부여하는 ADF (aerobic dynamic feeding)의 SBR 1과 혐기/호기조건에서 Feast/Famine 조건을 부여하는 AODF (anaerobic/oxic dynamic feeding)의 SBR 2로 운전하였다. PHAs의 생산은 AODF가 ADF 보다 우수하였으며, ADOF 에서 바이오매스 대비 최대 40.0% (w/w)로 높게 생산되었으며, 구조적 및 열적 물성도 우수한 것으로 나타났다. The production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) using Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) was investigated. The experiments were performed in two fabricated SBRs (4 L) of different oxidation state. Synthetic wastewater was used as substrate, using C/N/P ratio of 42:10:1. SBR 1 and SBR 2 were operated in aerobic dynamic feeding (ADF) and anaerobic/oxic dynamic feeding (AODF) condition, respectively. ADF provide feast and famine in aerobic condition, while AODF in anaerobic/oxic condition. PHAs production was found high in AODF than AOF. Maximum PHAs content of 40.0% (w/w)of biomass were produced in AODF mode. Produced PHAs structural and thermal property were good.

Automobile brake discs are a major part of automobiles that are directly related to driver safety, and prevention of judder and squall noise is very important. This phenomenon occurs for complex reasons such as the precision and assembly of the brake module, and the material of the brake disc. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the grinding wheel's grain size on the grinding conditions when machining cast iron, the material of the brake disc, and to derive the optimal grinding conditions through this.
