성북구 거주 거동 불편 여성노인의 생활만족도에 관한 연구
윤종희,김덕성,안령미 동덕여자대학교 한국여성연구소 2002 젠더연구 Vol.- No.6
The purpose of the study was to investigate relationships among life satisfaction of the elderly women in poor-health conditions, with their self-esteem, health and financial status, family relations, and social participation. A structured questionnaire was used to interview a sample of 168 elderly women who were randomly selected from Sungbuk-ku, Seoul. The statistical methods used were percentiles, means, standard deviations, Cronbach`s α, Pearson`s correlations and a multiple regression. The regression analysis showed that the most powerful predictor of satisfaction of the poor-health elderly women was their self esteem, followed by relationships with their adult children, perceived financial status, age, and the amount of allowances. These variables accounted for 41.7% of life satisfaction of the sample. Implications for the policy-makers and practitioners were further discussed.

채정룡,김희주 군산대학교 1989 論文集 Vol.16 No.-
The study was carried to investigate the effect of endurance training, performed six days per week at approximately 140∼ 180 beats/min on LDL - cholesterol, Triglceride, HDL - cholesterol in the midest lipids components. The subjects in this study were eight competitive rowing player (male 4, female : 4). After being fully informed of the risks and stresses associated with participation, each subject signed on institutionally approved consent form. The ferquency of exercise on training schedual was performed six day per week, and the time of exercise was 6 hours a day.The results through the staistical analysis of LDL-choleterol triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol in lipid components were as follows. ①Serum lipid components of subjects (mal, female)were on the ideal level. ②In triglycerides compoments were changes, significant difference from second sessions the each group(P<0.05). ③In LDC - Cholesterol were changes significant difference from second sessions in the male group(P<0.05).from third sessions in the female group (P<0.05). ④In HDL - cholesterol were changes significant difference from third sesions in the each groups (P< 0.05) In conclusion I followed difference in the changes of lipid components before and after long term training. And I think that will need more study about the total-cholesterol, HDC - Cholesterol ratio etcs.

<P>We investigated the effect of propofol and fentanyl on microelectrode recording (MER) and its clinical applicability during subthalamic nucleus (STN) deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. We analyzed 8 patients with Parkinson's disease, underwent bilateral STN DBS with MER. Their left sides were done under awake and then their right sides were done with a continuous infusion of propofol and fentanyl under local anesthesia. The electrode position was evaluated by preoperative MRI and postoperative CT. The clinical outcomes were assessed at six months after surgery. We isolated single unit activities from the left and the right side MERs. There was no significant difference in the mean firing rate between the left side MERs (38.7±16.8 spikes/sec, n=78) and the right side MERs (35.5±17.2 spikes/sec, n=66). The bursting pattern of spikes was more frequently observed in the right STN than in the left STN. All the electrode positions were within the STNs on both sides and the off-time Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale part III scores at six months after surgery decreased by 67% of the preoperative level. In this study, a continuous infusion of propofol and fentanyl did not significantly interfere with the MER signals from the STN. The results of this study suggest that propofol and fentanyl can be used for STN DBS in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease improving the overall experience of the patients.</P><P><B>Graphical Abstract</B></P><P/>
Masticator space abscess in a 47-day-old infant
Kim, Eun-Hee,Jeon, Ju-Hee,Shim, Yoon-Hee,Lee, Kyu-Seok,Kim, So-Young,Kim, Eun-Ryoung The Korean Pediatric Society 2011 Clinical and Experimental Pediatrics (CEP) Vol.54 No.8
A 47-day-old male infant presented with fever, poor oral intake, irritability, and right-sided bluish buccal swelling. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography of the neck showed a round mass lesion of about $2.0{\times}1.5cm$ that suggested abscess formation in the right masticator space. Ultrasound-guided extraoral aspiration of the abscess at the right masseter muscle was successful. Staphylococcus aureus was identified in the culture from the aspirated pus and blood. Appropriate antibiotics were given and the patient recovered. The patient underwent follow-up ultrasonography that showed an improved state of the previously observed right masseter muscle swelling at about 1 month after hospital discharge. A masticator space abscess usually originates from an odontogenic infection in adults. We report a case of masticator space abscess in a 47-day-old infant in whom septicemia without odontogenic infection was suspected.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>Adiponectin is known to take part in the regulation of energy metabolism. AdipoRon, an orally-active synthetic adiponectin agonist, binds to both adiponectin receptors (AdipoR)1/R2 and ameliorates diabetic complications. Among the lipid metabolites, the ceramide subspecies of sphingolipids have been linked to features of lipotoxicity, including inflammation, cell death, and insulin resistance. We investigated the role of AdipoRon in the prevention and development of type 2 diabetic nephropathy.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>AdipoRon (30 mg/kg) was mixed into the standard chow diet and provided to <I>db/db</I> mice (<I>db</I> + AdipoRon, <I>n</I> = 8) and age-matched male <I>db/m</I> mice (<I>dm</I> + AdipoRon, <I>n</I> = 8) from 17 weeks of age for 4 weeks. Control <I>db/db</I> (<I>db</I> cont, <I>n</I> = 8) and <I>db/m</I> mice (<I>dm</I> cont, <I>n</I> = 8) were fed a normal diet of mouse chow.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>AdipoRon-fed <I>db/db</I> mice showed a decreased amount of albuminuria and lipid accumulation in the kidney with no significant changes in serum adiponectin, glucose, and body weight. Restoring expression of adiponectin receptor-1 and -2 in the renal cortex was observed in <I>db/db</I> mice with AdipoRon administration. Consistent up-regulation of phospho-Thr172 AMP-dependent kinase (AMPK), peroxisome proliferative-activated receptor α (PPARα), phospho-Thr473 Akt, phospho-Ser79Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), and phospho-Ser1177 endothelial NO synthase (eNOS), and down-regulation of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1c (SREBP-1c), and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) were associated within the same group. AdipoRon lowered cellular ceramide levels by activation of acid ceramidase, which normalized ceramide to sphingosine-1 phosphate (S1P) ratio. In glomerular endothelial cells (GECs) and podocytes, AdipoRon treatment markedly decreased palmitate-induced lipotoxicity, which ultimately ameliorated oxidative stress and apoptosis.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>AdipoRon may prevent lipotoxicity in the kidney particularly in both GECs and podocytes through an improvement in lipid metabolism, as shown by the ratio of ceramide to sphingosines, and further contribute to prevent deterioration of renal function, independent of the systemic effects of adiponectin. The reduction in oxidative stress and apoptosis by AdipoRon provides protection against renal damage, thereby ameliorating endothelial dysfunction in type 2 diabetic nephropathy.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Superfluous ceramide via decrease in acid ceramidase activity causes lipotoxicity. </LI> <LI> Adiponectin and adiponectin receptors potentially increase ceramidase activity. </LI> <LI> AdipoRon ameliorated renal lipotoxicity by AdipoR1-AMPK and AdipoR2-PPARα pathway. </LI> <LI> AdipoRon is a promising tool for treatment of diabetic nephropathy in type 2 DM. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical Abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
