We conducted a prospective, mobile-based survey on the self-reported adverse reactions in healthcare workers (HCWs) who received both doses of the BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine. Of the 342 HCWs who completed the two-dose vaccination, 265 (77.5%) responded to the survey at least once. Overall, the rates of adverse reactions were higher after the second dose compared with the first dose (89.1% vs. 80.1%, P = 0.006). The most common systemic reactions were muscle ache (69.1%), fatigue (65.7%), headache (48.7%), chills (44.2%), and fever (32.1%), and were notably more common after the second dose vaccine as well. We also noted a sex difference in which the frequency of adverse reactions after the second dose of the vaccine was significantly higher in females, which was not observed after the first dose. The rates of adverse reactions were lower in older age groups, and the rates and severities of the adverse reactions decreased during the 3-day period following vaccination.

Objectives: This study was designed to examine the effect of stress management program on the stress in the army soldiers. Methods: This study used an non-equivalent control group pre-post design. The subjects consisted of 30 army soldiers. The experimental group(n=23) participated in cognitive-behavioral therapy and relaxation training program that consist of 8 session. The control group(n=17) participated in relaxation training program. For both group the scores of stress were measured before and after experiment. The data were analyzed by t-test and ANCOVA with the SPSS program. Result: The scores of subscale in the stress was significantly decreased in experimental group than control group. Conclusion: In light of these results, stress management program has a positive effects on the stress in the army soldiers.

Purpose: Peritoneal carcinomatosis in gastric cancer (GC) patients results in extremely poor prognosis. Malignant ascites samples are the most appropriate biological material to use to evaluate biomarkers for peritoneal carcinomatosis. This study identified exosomal MicroRNAs (miRNAs) differently expressed between benign liver cirrhosis-associated ascites (LC-ascites) and malignant gastric cancer-associated ascites (GC-ascites), and validated their role as diagnostic biomarkers for GC-ascites. Materials and Methods: Total RNA was extracted from exosomes isolated from 165 ascites samples (73 LC-ascites and 92 GC-ascites). Initially, microarrays were used to screen the expression levels of 2,006 miRNAs in the discovery cohort (n=22). Subsequently, quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analyses were performed to validate the expression levels of selected exosomal miRNAs in the training (n=70) and validation (n=73) cohorts. Furthermore, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels were determined in ascites samples. Results: The miR-574-3p, miR-181b-5p, miR-4481, and miR-181d were significantly downregulated in the GC-ascites samples compared to the LC-ascites samples, and miR-181b-5p showed the best diagnostic performance for GC-ascites (area under the curve [AUC]=0.798 and 0.846 for the training and validation cohorts, respectively). The diagnostic performance of CEA for GC-ascites was improved by the combined analysis of miR-181b-5p and CEA (AUC=0.981 and 0.946 for the training and validation cohorts, respectively). Conclusions: We identified exosomal miRNAs capable of distinguishing between non-malignant and GC-ascites, showing that the combined use of miR-181b-5p and CEA could improve diagnosis.

<P>Controlling the organization of self-assembling building blocks over a large area is crucial for lithographic tools based on the bottom-up approach. However, the fabrication of liquid crystal (LC) defect patterns with a particular ordering still remains a challenge because of the limited close-packed morphologies of LC defects. Here, we introduce a multiple-stamping domain separation method for the control of the dimensions and organization of LC defect structures. Prepatterns with various grid shapes on planar polyimide (PI) surfaces were fabricated by pressing a line-shaped stamp into the PI surfaces in two different directions, and then these surfaces were used to prepare LC defect structures confined to these grid domains. The dimensions of the LC defect structures, namely, the equilibrium diameter and the center to center spacing, are controlled by varying the line spacing of the stamps and the film thickness. A variety of arrangements of LC defects, including square, rhombic, hexagonal, and other oblique lattices, can be obtained by simply varying the stamping angle (Omega) between the first and second stamping directions. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the resulting controllable LC defect arrays can be used as templates for generating various patterns of nanoparticles clusters by trapping quantum dots (QDs) within the cores of the LC defects.</P>

To determine the reason of individual variation of the effect of caffeine. the absorption and the disposition of caffeine were studied in caffeine sensitive and caffeine nonsensitive volunteers. And also to study the effect of obesity on caffeine pharmacokinetics, the caffeine disposition in the obese rat and in the lean rat were investigated respectively. In result the caffeine sensitive group showed a longer terminal half-life of caffeine(7.35±0.71 hr:5.49±0.73 hr) and a larger AUC (55.42±9.09㎍·㎖^-1·hr:440.0±7.81㎍·㎖^-1·hr) than that of caffeine non-sensitive group without statistical significance. The obese rat showed a longer terminal half-life (3.47hr : 2.31hr) and a larger AUC(35.3㎍·㎖^-1·hr:26.97㎍·㎖^-1·hr) than that of the lean rat. But there was no correlation in the amount of daily caffeine consumption and obesity. In conculusion, we suggest that the individual variation of the effect of caffeine are being caused from the individual differances of caffeine susceptibility or tolerance rather than the differances of the genetic metabolic capacity or metabolic tolerance.
Generation of Graded Index Profile of Poly(methyl methacrylate) by a Photochemical Reaction

Fabrication of a graded index profile was possible via photochemical reaction of cinnamoyl groups with 350 nm wavelength UV light to form crosslinked structures. Such structural change may induce the change in the refractive index. In order to generate graded index profile in the PMMA polymer optical fiber (POF) with cinnamoyl groups by photochemistry, a methyl methacrylate monomer containing a cinnamoyl functional group in the side chain were prepared. This monomer was then copolymerized with methyl methacrylate with various compositions not only to utilize advantages of poly(methyl methacrylate) but also to overcome the drawbacks of the cinnamate homopolymer. Changes of refractive indices were investigated with various contents of cinnamoyl group and varying irradiation time. Large change in the refractive index (${\Delta}{\approx}0.01$) and its proper profile shape ($g{\approx}2.2$) can be obtained by changing irradiation time.
