        완전탈구된 치아의 재식에 관한 치험례

        Exarticulation includes all cases in which the tooth has been totally displaced out of its socket. The main etilogies in the permanent dentition are direct blows and traffic accident, while in the primary dentition are fall-downs. The prognosis of tooth which has been recieved endodontic treatment after replantation is better than received endodontic treatment before replantation. Ca(OH)₂as a initial canal filling material diminishes undesirable replacement root resorption, so in the cases of compelted and uncompleted root formation, the pulp is extirpated and then a Ca(OH)₂dressing is placed until optimal stage for final canal filling with gutta percha cones. Storage media and storage period of avulsed tooth is very important things for prognosis after replantation. A strong relationship has been found between dry storage or storage in non physiologic media (c.g tapwater) and root resorption. Physiologic saline and/or fresh milk is one of the best storage media.

      • 매립이 진행중인 일반폐기물 매립지에 있어서 침출수의 성상

        매립지에 있어서 매립층의 폐기물의 분해상황을 평가하기 위하여, 매립이 진행중인 매립지의 침출수의 pH, 유기물질, 질소화합물, 중금속농도의 변화를 3년간 조사하였다. 그 결과 pH는 6.7 ~ 9의 범위로 나타났으며 매립기간의 경과와 함께 증가하는 경향을 보였다. BOD 및 COD의 농도범위는 각각 1,800 ~ 25,000 mg·???, 1,700 ~ 6,000mg·???로 나타났으며, 그 유출농도는 하절기에는 증가하고 동절기에는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. T-N의 농도범위는 1,000 ~ 4,000mg·???이었으며, 매립량의 증대와 함께 그 농도는 지속적으로 증가하였으며, 질소화합물의 대부분은 ?????????의 형태로 존재하였다. 한편, T-P의 평균농도는 20mg·???였다. SS의 농도는 150 ~ 600mg·??? 이었으며, 중금속의 유출농도는 매립기간의 경과와 함께 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 이와 같은 결과로부터 본 매립지의 매립폐기물의 분해는 혐기적상태에서 주로 이루어지고 있으며, 강우에 의한 미분해성 유기물의 세출현상이 활발한 것으로 추측되었다. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the decomposition properties of refuse by analysis of landfill leachate. The leachate was analyzed in terms of pH, organic and inorganic compounds, and heavy metals for 3 years. The results are as follows; The pH of leachate ranged from 6.7 to 9. BOD and COD were measured in the range of 1,800 ~ 25,000 mg·??? and 1,700 ~ 6,000 mg·???, respectively. It showed that the seasonal variation of BOD and COD appeared to increase in summer season, to decrease with decreasing temperature. Concentration of T-N was in the range of 1,000 ~ 4,000mg·???, it increased with augment of landfill volume, and the greater part of T-N existed form of ammonium nitrogen. The SS was observed in the range of 150~600 mg·??? and the average concentration of T-P was 20 mg·???. Also, concentration of heavy metals showed that it is tend to decrease in processing phase. From these results, it indicated that refuse of this landfill was decomposed in anaerobic condition, actively. Concentration of organic compounds increased in summer season. It results in the physical washout of organic compounds by rainfall and the extension of microbial decomposition activity inside landfill.

      • Terahertz Phonon Modes of Highly Efficient Electro-optic Phenyltriene OH1 Crystals

        <P>Understanding the origin of the phonon modes of highly efficient electro-optic crystals is very important for designing materials and for optimizing their photonic applications. Here we investigate the origin of phonon modes in the 0.1-15 THz range of the benchmark electrooptic OH1 (2-(3-(4-hydroxystyry1)-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-enylidene)malononitrile) crystal, which is interesting due to its large electro-optic coefficient and high THz-wave generation efficiency. The phonon modes (and vibrational absorption properties) of OH1 crystals are evaluated theoretically by periodic density functional theory and also experimentally by THz absorption spectroscopy. The the oretical calculations are well-matched with experimental results. The THz absorption properties are highly anisotropic; the amplitude of the vibrational absorption is the largest along the polar c-axis compared to the other two crystallographic axes. For comparison, the vibrational absorption modes of the OH1 molecule in the gas phase are also calculated. The calculated vibrational absorption spectrum of OH1 crystalline powder appears similar to that of the OH1 molecule in the gas phase. However, the molecular vibrational motions in the crystalline state are coupled motions of vibrational motions in the gas phase. Interestingly, the vibrational mode of the torsion of the O-H bond with the largest absorption strength in the gas phase is in the crystal inhibited due to the crystal field effect. The origin of the intense phonon modes of OH1 crystals is mainly related to relatively strong distortions of the push pull pi-conjugated system including electron donor and acceptor groups.</P>

        Analysis of Phylogenetic Relationship of 30 Cultivars of Korean Mulberry (Rosales: Moraceae) in Korea

        This study was carried out to understand phylogenetic relationships of the 30 mulberry cultivars converved in Korea based on the ITS rDNA region, and they were compared to 40 reference sequences from GenBank. The size and the G+C content of the ITS rDNA gene regions from the 30 Korean mulberry cultivars and 40 reference sequences varied from 612- 630 bp and 58.19-61.62%, respectively. Based on the results of the comparative phylogenetic analysis of the ITS rDNA regions of the 30 Korean mulberry cultivars and 40 reference sequences, they were divided into three groups (Group 1, 2, and 3) and two subgroups (Group 1A and 1B within Group 1). The sequence lengths of the Korean mulberry cultivar numbers 1-26 and 27-30 were 615 bp and 616 bp, respectively. At 205 bp location of ITS1 rDNA region, the cultivar numbers 1-26 contain the nucleotide thymine but the cultivar numbers 27-30 contain the nucleotide adenine. In addition, the insertion of the nucleotide adenine at 206 bp location was found only in the four Korean mulberry cultivars (numbers 27-30). Based on these sequence information and phylogenetic result, the 30 Korean mulberry cultivars were identified as M. alba and M. australis . This study will contribute to the construction of genetic database constructions and accurate variety identifications for unidentified mulberry varieties in Korea.

      • Taxonomic position and the species identity of cultivated Ganoderma lucidum in Korea

        Ganoderma lucidum has a long history for traditional medicine in Asian countries. However, taxonomy of Ganoderma species remains controversial, since it was initially classified on the basis of morphological characteristics. Recently, Ganoderma sichuanense was proposed as a re-proposed name for Ganoderma lucidum in China. Likewise, all of the Korean G. lucidum were clustered into 1 group together with G. sichuanense from China, when a phylogenetic analysis was undertaken based on the ITS rDNA sequences of the Ganoderma species. Furthermore, G. lucidum from Europe and North America were clustered into different group. Based on these results, re-consideration of naming Korean cultivated G. lucidum is needed.

        Isolation and Identification of Postharvest Spoilage Fungi from Mulberry Fruit in Korea

        BACKGROUND: Spoilage fungi can reduce the shelf life of fresh fruits and cause economic losses by lowering quality. Especially, mulberry fruits have high sensitivity to fungal attack due to their high water content (> 70%) and soft texture. In addition, the surface of these fruits is prone to damage during harvesting and postharvest handling. However, any study on postharvest spoilage fungi in mulberry fruit has not been reported in Korea. This study aimed to examine the spoilage fungi occurring in mulberry fruits during storage after harvest. METHODS AND RESULTS: In this study, we isolated postharvest spoilage fungi from mulberry fruits stored in refrigerator (fresh fruits) and deep-freezer (frozen fruits) and identified them. In the phylogenetic analysis based on comparisons of the ITS rDNA sequences, the 18 spoilage fungi isolated from mulberry fruits and the 25 reference sequences were largely divided into seven groups that were subsequently verified by high bootstrap analysis of 73 to 100. Alternaria spp. including A. alternate and A. tenuissima, were the most frequently isolated fungi among the spoilage isolates: its occurrence was the highest among the 18 isolates (38.9%). CONCLUSION: The findings of this study will be helpful for increasing the shelf life of mulberry fruits through the application of appropriate control measures against infection by spoilage fungi during storage.

      • UPLC-DAD-QTOF/MS Analysis of Flavonoids from 12 Varieties of Korean Mulberry Fruit

        <P>Mulberry (<I>Morus alba</I> L.) has been used in East Asia (Korea, China, and Japan) as a medicine because of its various pharmacological effects including the excellent antioxidant properties of its fruit. This study analyzed extracts from 12 varieties of Korean mulberry fruit for flavonoids using ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography coupled with diode array detection and quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-DAD-QTOF/MS). Six quercetin derivatives were identified by mass spectrometry (MS) based on the [quercetin + H]<SUP>+</SUP> ion (<I>m/z</I> 303), while four kaempferol derivatives were identified based on the [kaempferol + H]<SUP>+</SUP> ion (<I>m/z</I> 287). Two new compounds (morkotin A and morkotin C, quercetin derivatives) were identified for the first time in mulberry fruit. The total flavonoid contents of the mulberry fruits ranged from 35.0 ± 2.3 mg/100 g DW in the Baek Ok Wang variety (white mulberry) to 119.9 ± 7.0 mg/100 g DW in the Dae Shim variety. This study has, for the first time, evaluated the flavonoid chromatographic profiles of 12 varieties of Korean mulberry fruits in a following quali-quantitative approach, which will contribute to improved utilization of these fruits as health foods.</P>
