In order to know the residual pattern of pesticides and predict to the degradation period until below MRL, we experimented diazinon, iprodinon and chlorfenapyr for shallot. They were the most detected pesticide in shallot by NAQS (National Agricultural product Quality management Service) survey. In this experiment, we sprayed those pesticides 15days before harvest and analyzed 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14 day sample to establish logical equation and to calculate DT_(50). During the cultivating period, the residue amount of diazinon was changed from 1.02 mg/kg (0 day) to 0.01 mg/kg (14 day), DT_(50) was 2.19 days, and iprodione was changed from 1.45 mg/kg (0 day) to 0.14 mg/kg (14 day), DT_(50) was 4.15 days, and chlorfenapyr was changed from 1.5 mg/kg (0 day) to 0.01 mg/kg (14 day), DT_(50) was 1.97 days. The DT_(50) of double amount in those pesticides, diazinon was 2.24 days, iprodione was 4.82 days, and chlorfenapyr was 2.24 days, respectively.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of heel height on women's dynamic balance. Seven female subjects, aged 19-22 years, volunteered to participate for the study. The subject was asked to lean forward, backward and sideways and to reach as far as possible without moving the feet or bending at the hip, in a plane parallel with the measuring tape attached on the wall at shoulder height. Maximal antero, posterior, and lateral distance reached were measured to evaluate a dynamic balance. Subjects were tested in bare feet and 4 pairs of shoes. Shoes were women's dress pumps identical except for heel height. Heel heights were 3, 5, 7, and 9 cm. The results indicated that increasing heel height did not influence the maximum reach distance in the backward and sideway direction. However, the maximum reach distance in the forward direction decreased significantly with increasing heel hight. Post-hoc analysis revealed that the reach distance was significantly smaller in the 7 and 9 cm heel height. These findings suggest that heel height has a detrimental effect on women's dynamic balance. The poor balance derives from a decrease of postural stability in the forward direction. A critical heel height for producing balance hazards locates between 5 and 7 cm. Key words:heel height, dynamic balance, maximum reach distance.

In this paper, we propose a watermarking technique using biorthogonal wavelet transform and hierarchical correlation. The proposed technique inserts a watermark at high frequency domain and improves the computational time for extracting the watermark using hierarchical correlation. In the experiment, we show the performance of the proposed technique and use bar code as watermark to automatically manage the watermarked images.

This is a quasi-experimental research to verify factors that affect to the attention of ADHD child who are participated in a play program. Subjects are 9 ADHD(Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder) who have participated in a after-school activities of M University. The factors that employed in this study were 'teaching method', 'distance to teacher', 'teaching ability' and 'formation of class'. Dependent variable of this study was the subject's attention levels. Assessment of this study was conducted in 40 sessions for 10 weeks. Results of this study were as follows: Firstly, factors that affect to subjects' attention levels were 'teaching method', 'distance to teacher', and 'teaching ability'. Especially, lm, 3m, and 5m distance to teacher shows a significant mean difference. Secondly, in case of 'teaching ability' for the attention abilities, '4 point and 3 point' and '3 point and 2 point' were demonstrated a significant mean difference. On the other hand, the 'teaching ability' for imitation levels, '4 point and 1 point' and '3 point and 1 point' demonstrates a significant mean difference. Thirdly, a formula for affecting factor to the subject's attention levels and imitation levels were delineated to y=0.18X₁ - 0.15X₂ - 0.07X₃ - 0.02X₄ + 1.82 (R²=0.64). However, the formula for imitation levels was y=0.29 X₁ - 0.13X₂ - 0.06X₃ - 0.02X₄ + 1.47 (X₁ : teaching ability, X₂ : distance to teacher, X₃ : teaching method, X₄ : class formation, R²=0.64)
Efficacy of Cryosim-1 in adults with pruritus

Background: Pruritus is one of the common complaints from patients in dermatologic clinic. Cryosim-1 (Diisopropylheptylphosphine oxide) is a selective TRPM8 agonist which gives a cooling, resulting in suppression of other uncomfortable sensations including pruritus. Objectives: The study was to investigate the clinical effectiveness of Cryosim-1, known to be effective in pruritus. We selected adult patients with consistent itching sensation and tried applying cryosim-1 containing highly moisturizing serum (Intrinsic® IB Spot serum). Methods: We performed a prospective study of 25 patients with various dermatologic disorders. The participants self-completed questionnaires about degree of itching at both initial (d1) and last visit (d7). Results: Demographic data showed male-to-female ratio of 1:1.5, the average of age was 44.08 ± 12.55 and symptom duration was 85.72 ± 17.49 month. The average visual analog scale (VAS) score for pruritus was 4.56 before treatment and 2.11 two hours after treatment respectively. Overall, there was significant improvement for pruritus (p<0.001) comparing the initial and last visit. Also, 76% of the patients reported subjective satisfaction. Conclusion: Our study confirmed the clinical efficacy of cryosim-1 for pruritus. Further large-scale studies are needed to evaluate the treatment effect.

본 연구는 하이드로겔 콘택트렌즈에 알지네이트와 카라기난과 같은 해조다당류를 상호침투 고분자 네트워크를 진행하여 interpenetrating polymer network(IPN) 시간에 따른 콘택트렌즈의 특성 변화를 살펴보았다. IPN은 알지네이트와 카라기난을 이용하여 semi-IPN과 full-IPN으로 4주 동안 진행하였다. 콘택트렌즈의 기능은 함수율, 산소투과율, 접촉각, 단백질 흡착, 그리고 항균성 등을 측정하여 평가하였다. IPN 시간이 증가함에 따라 콘택트렌즈의 모든 물리·화학적 성질이 향상되었다. 산소과율과 습윤성은 카라기난보다 알지네이트를 사용했을 때가 더 높았다. 함수율과 산소투과율은 semi-IPN 방법이 full-IPN 방법보다 좋았으며 습윤성은 full-IPN 방법이 더 많이 향상되었다. 해조다당류는 하이드로겔 콘택트렌즈의 기능 향상에 도움이 되며 IPN 시간이 길수록 성능이 더욱 증가함을 확인하였다. We investigated the change in the characteristics of contact lenses according to the interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) time and method when a contact lens was dual-networked with alginate and carrageenan. The IPN was formed for four weeks using semi-IPN and full-IPN. The functions of contact lenses were assessed based on the measurement of water content, oxygen permeability, contact angle, protein adsorption, and antimicrobial. With the increase in IPN time, all physical and chemical properties of contact lenses were improved. The oxygen permeability and wettability were better when using alginate than using carrageenan. The water content and oxygen permeability were better when using the semi-IPN method than using the full-IPN method, whereas wettability was further improved when using the full-IPN method. The result of this study verified that seaweed polysaccharides were helpful in the functional improvement of hydrogel contact lenses, and performance was better in a longer IPN time.
