        In this study, we analyze the linkage effect of export by country and commodity on Korean industries. The result of emprical analysis showed that the imports among the ratio of exports to national income is the most linkage effect of the Korean economy. And the fixed assets show the second highest effect. This means that the composition of the export commodities is not desirable on the linkage effect of export. But the exports by year are desirable. And the linkage effect of the exports of Japan is lower than to any other country.

      • Holographic Interferometry를 이용한 하악 구치부 도재소부 전장관용 금속 구조물의 굴곡성향에 대한 연구

        Flexion of a metal/ceramic fixed partial denture(FPD) frameworks under function can cause fracture of porcelain or deterioration of the cement seal. This study evaluated the flexion characteristics of three-unit mandibular FPI) frameworks, replacing the second premolar under compressive load(200g, 400g). Testing was accomplished with real-time holographic interferorrmetry, using 6 porcelain fused-to metal frameworks. Tested alloys were non-precious alloy(Heracles, Holland), semi-precious alloy(Degudent U, Germany) and precious alloy(Degudent H, Germany). Changes of the fringe patterns according to the heat treatment (porcelain firing cycle), various loads (200g, 400g), occlusal forms (occlusal porcelain veneering, facial porcelain veneering), various alloys and post-soldering units were compared. Dental study model (Nissan dental products, Inc. D51DP-500A, Japan) and six 3-unit metal/ceramic fixed partial denture frameworks were used as experimental materials. 36 holograms were taken on fixed dental study model b using the 10mW He-Ne laser and real-time holographic interferometry. On the basis of this study, the following conclusions can be drawn : 1. In the frameworks for facial porcelain veneering, the semi-precious alloy framework was least deformed and precious alloy framework, non-precious alloy framework orderly before heat treatment, and the deformation was not shown great difference among three alloys after heat treatment and post-soldering. 2. In the frameworks for occlusal porcelain veneering, the precious alloy framework was greatest deformed and the deformation was not difference between semi-precious alloy framework and non-precious alloy framework before, after heat treatment, and the deformation was not shown great difference among three alloys after post soldering. 3: In the non-precious alloy frameworks for facial porcelain veneering and occlusal porcelain veneering, the deformation was greatly decreased after heat treatment and conversely increased after post-soldering. 4. In the semi-precious alloy framework for facial porcelain veneering, the deformation was not detectable after heat treatment and increased after post-solder. And in the framework for occlusal porcelain veneering, the deformation was slightly decreased after heat treatment and increased after post-soldering. 5. In the precious alloy framework for facial porcelain veneering, the deformation was greatly decreased after heat treatment and increased after post-soldering. And in the framework for occlusal porcelain veneering, the deformation was greatly decreased after heat treatment and decreased after post-soldering.

        Natural bone-mimicking nanoporeincorporated hydroxyapatite scaffolds for enhanced bone tissue regeneration

        Background: A considerable number of studies has been carried out to develop alloplastic bone graft materials such as hydroxyapatite (HAP) that mimic the hierarchical structure of natural bones with multiple levels of pores: macro-, micro-, and nanopores. Although nanopores are known to play many essential roles in natural bones, only a few studies have focused on HAPs containing them; none of those studies investigated the functions of nanopores in biological systems. Method: We developed a simple yet powerful method to introduce nanopores into alloplastic HAP bone graft materials in large quantities by simply pressing HAP nanoparticles and sintering them at a low temperature. Results: The size of nanopores in HAP scaffolds can be controlled between 16.5 and 30.2 nm by changing the sintering temperature. When nanopores with a size of ~ 30.2 nm, similar to that of nanopores in natural bones, are introduced into HAP scaffolds, the mechanical strength and cell proliferation and differentiation rates are significantly increased. The developed HAP scaffolds containing nanopores (SNPs) are biocompatible, with negligible erythema and inflammatory reactions. In addition, they enhance the bone regeneration when are implanted into a rabbit model. Furthermore, the bone regeneration efficiency of the HAP-based SNP is better than that of a commercially available bone graft material. Conclusion: Nanopores of HAP scaffolds are very important for improving the bone regeneration efficiency and may be one of the key factors to consider in designing highly efficient next-generation alloplastic bone graft materials.

      • ESTIMATION OF THE OPTIMAL FIBULAR GRAFT ANGLE FOR PROXIMAL HUMERUS FRACTURES USING FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS

        Introduction and Background Proximal humerus fracture is a common injury and usually treated using an internal fixation. However, studies have reported that such treatments are associated with problems such as varus deformity and screw penetration. Therefore, a surgical method using fibular allografts (FA) is recently reported. This study aimed to confirm the effective insertion angle (0 30 50 and 90°) of the FA. Material and Method We applied axial and shear loads to finite element models from a computed tomography scan. Finite element simulations using these models were repeated five times for each fibular insertion angle. We evaluated the degree which a material resists deformation, and is defined as [N/m]), stress distribution, and fracture micromotion. Results Equivalent stress (von Mises stress) : amount of the force which the shape of the structure begins to change When axial load was applied on the humerus fracture model, the stress on the plate was minimal in the axis perpendicular condition When a shear load was applied, maximum stress was applied on the graft when it was inserted axis perpendicular condition. Overall stability : Stiffness When the graft was applied axis perpendicular condition, the stiffness reached its maximum Stability of the fracture region The micromotions of the fracture region under the axis perpendicular condition were remarkably low compared to those under the other conditions. When comparing the distance variation of the medial fracture gap, the axis perpendicular condition showed the lowest numerical value. Conclusions This finite element study proved the biomechanical advantage of inserting a FA at a certain angle in proximal humerus fracture. The graft inserted axis perpendicular condition showed high stability and humeral head fixation under axial and shear loads and the plate stress was lowered overall and widely distributed.

        견관절 다방향 불안정성의 관혈적 및 관절경적 하 관절낭 이동술의 비교 분석

        목적: 견관절 다방향 불안정성에서 관혈적 및 관절경적 하 관절낭 이동술 시행 후 임상 결과 및 영향을 미치는 요소에 대해 분석하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 1994년 2월부터 2006년 4월까지 견관절 다방향 불안정성으로 진단 받은 81명 84예를 대상으로 하였다. 남자 76예, 여자 8예였고 평균 나이는 22세였다. 관혈적 및 관절경적으로 하 관절낭 이동술을 시행 후 통증 및 불안정성에 대한 VAS 점수, 관절 운동 범위 및 Rowe 점수를 분석하였다. 결과: 관혈적 수술을 시행한 경우 통증에 대한 VAS 점수는 수술 전 5.3에서 수술 후 21로, 불안정성에 대한 VAS 점수는 4.6에서 1.7로 줄었으며, Rowe 접수는 수술 후 평균 83.7이었다. 운동 범위는 전방 거상이 173.7도에서 166.1도로, 중립위 외회전은 75.5도에서 수술 후 62.7도로 감소되었다. 관절경적 수술을 한 경우에는 통증 VAS 점수가 수술 전 4.6에서 수술 후 1.2로, 불안정성에 대한 VAS 점수는 5.9에서 1.2로 줄었으며, Rowe 점수는 평균 87.4이었다. 운동 범위는 전방 거상 169.5도에서 수술 후 171.2도로, 중립위 외회전은 70.8도에서 수술 후 61.4도로 측정 되었다. 결론: 견관절 다방향 불안정성에 대한 관절경적 술식은 관혈적 술식에 비해 동통의 호전 및 전방 거상 범위의 보존에 있어 효과적이었다. 양측성 이완이나 전신적 이완이 동반되었을 경우 수술 후 불안감이 더 높게 나타났고, 수의성 불안정성이 있을 경우에는 수술 후 운동시 동통을 더 심하게 호소했다. 우세수를 수술하거나 수술 후 불안감을 보일 경우에도 저조한 임상 결과를 보였다. Purpose: To compare outcomes of open and arthroscopic inferior capsular shifts in multidirectional instability of the shoulder and to evaluate the factors affecting the outcomes. Materials and Methods: We measured outcomes in 81 patients (84 shoulders) receiving open or arthroscopic inferior capsular shifts because of multidirectional instability of the shoulder from February, 1994, to April, 2006. There were 76 males and 8 females. Their mean age was 22 years at the time of surgery. The visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, shoulder range of motion (ROM), and Rowe scores were evaluated preoperatively and postoperatively. Results: In open surgery, the VAS for pain was 5.3 preoperatively and 2.1 postoperatively. VAS for instability changed from 4.6 to 1.7, and the average postoperative Rowe score was 83.7. Forward flexion was 173.7° preoperatively and 166.1° postoperatively. External rotation on the side changed from 75.5° to 62.7°. In arthroscopic surgery, the VAS for pain was 4.6 preoperatively and 1.2 postoperatively. VAS for instability changed from 5.9 to 1.2, and the average postoperative Rowe score was 87.4. Forward flexion was 169.5° preoperatively and 171.2° postoperatively. External rotation changed from 70.8° to 61.4°. Conclusion: Arthroscopic surgery was more effective in decreasing pain and conserving forward flexion of the shoulder than open surgery. Postoperative instability appeared to be related with generalized or bilateral shoulder joint laxity. Pain during motion after the operation was more significant during a voluntary subluxator. Low clinical scores were related with the operation on the dominant side or postoperative instability.
