      • VLSI 구현을 위한 Motion Estimation 알고리즘의 비교 분석

        Motion estimation has been chosen for the major image compression standards such as CCITT, MPEG 1,2 and 4 because of the efficiency of temporal redundancy elimination even though it requires a great amount computations and hardware. Many motion estimation algorithms proposed so far have lots of trade off's among performances, VLSI implementation and computation amounts, which should be carefully considered to select the best algorithm for each application area. Therefore, this paper analyzes and compares motion estimation algorithms, which are full search block matching, hierarchical block matching using block subsample as well as pel subsample in a block and the subsample with a low pass filter. The performances such as mean square error, pick to pick signal to noise ratio and the computation amount are simulated using C-code and their results are described and compared. Finally, the reconstructed images based on the four motion estimation algorithms are shown for eye ball tests.

      • 매실박, 당근박, 감귤박 급여가 산란계 난황의 Vitamin E, K 함량에 미치는 영향

        This experiment is a quantitative experiment where insoluble Vitamins E and K are extracted from the yolk of the spawning which was fed by by-products of tangerine, carrot, or Japanese apricot. Finally the purpose is to raise contents of the insoluble Vitamins E and K inside the yolk of the spawning. The saponification method through α, α - dipyridyl was used to determine the content of Vitamin E. Diethyl dithiocarbamate assay was used to examine the content of Vitamin K. The contents of Vitamin E in egg yolks of chicken fed by by-products of tangerine, carrot, or Japanese apricot increased 2 - 3 times compared to control egg, while the contents of Vitamin K almost no changed. 본 실험에서는 감귤, 매실, 당근의 껍데기로 감귤박, 매실박, 당근박을 먹여 산란계의 난황에 들어있는 Vitamin E와 K 함량을 높이고자 했다. Vitamin E 추출방법에는 검화방법인 α, α -dipyridyl에 의한 비색정량법을 사용하였으며 전처리 과정 중 석유 ether를 가하여 층을 분리하는 과정과 증류수를 가하여 층을 분리하는 과정에 있어서 신중을 가하였고 신속한 시료 전처리과정이 요구되었다. Vitamin K 추출에는 Diethyl dithiocarbamate에 의한 방법이 사용되었다. 실험결과 일반난황에서의 Vitamin E 함량보다 실험난황에서의 Vitamin E 함량이 2배 이상 높아졌음을 알 수 있었던 반면 Vitamin K의 함량은소량 증가하여 큰 변화가 없었다. 위의 결과를 통해서 난황에 이전된 Vitamin E의 종류가 무엇이며 어떠한 형태의 Vitamin E가 이전이 많이 되었는지를 확인하는 실험이 필요할 것이다. 이러한 추가적인 실험이 이루어졌을 때 상업적으로 이용한 가치가 있는 가를 고려하여야 할 것이다.

        중앙 넁방시스템에 대한 외기보상제어의 에너지 절약 성능에 관한 실험적 연구

        In this study, energy saving performance of outdoor temperature reset control strategy for central cooling system is researched by experiments. Outdoor temperature reset control is the control method to change indoor air set temperature according to outdoor air temperature change. The range of indoor air set temperature is represented by the comfort temperature range of indoor air temperature offered from ASHRAE and indoor air set temperature is programmed between 22°C and 27°C by outdoor air temperature 20°C and 32°C in summer. As a result of applying outdoor temperature reset control to central cooling system, the suggested control method shows better performances of energy savings than the conventional method which indoor temperature maintains constantly.

        An Analysis of Working Hours by Type of Sprinkler Head Used at Indoor Gymnasiums

        This study aims to analyze working hours of sprinkler heads when a fire occurs at an indoor gymnasium while sprinkler heads are installed in division of standard response type, special response type, and earlier response type. The fire scenario was designed under the assumption that the fire started from overheating of a heater in the indoor gymnasium has transferred on to a couch to spread. The analysis on the operation time of the standard response type sprinkler head, the special response type sprinkler head and the early response sprinkler head was conducted. The result showed that, in case of fire in a gymnasium, the time for opening of the heat sensor due to the heat from the fire varies by the type of the sprinkler head. When a special response type sprinkler is installed, it worked below the assessment standards. When an early response sprinkler head is installed, it worked appropriately according to assessment standards. Based on the results, we found that sprinkler heads will work properly when installed according to design relevant to laws and regulations. This means that there is a limit in installation of sprinkler heads based on the existing law-based design as for indoor gymnasiums. Again, we conclude that if sprinkler heads are installed based on design made through laws and regulations, more time will be needed for operation, making it highly likely to fail to stop a fire at an earlier point of time.

        Combustible Gas and Visible Distance by Sprinkler Head for Safety of Gymnasium Workers

        This study analyzed the changes in carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen and visual distance by presence of sprinkler heads and their types in the event of a fire in an indoor gymnasium. Based on carbon monoxide and visual distance that affects human bodies enormously, first, if there is no sprinkler head, carbon monoxide will reach 0.4% within five seconds and visual distance rapidly shrank within five seconds. Seconds, in the event of standard sprinkler heads, carbon monoxide gradually increased from 30 seconds onwards and visual distance rapidly shrank after five seconds. Second, Third, if there are special sprinkler heads, carbon monoxide fluctuated after opening the head and visual distance became 5m or below from 15 seconds. Finally, in the event of early response sprinkler heads, carbon monoxide fluctuated up and down at 3 seconds due to falling water drops. Visual distance shrank up to 5m or below at 6 seconds. In the future, time for operation of each sprinkler head shall be analyzed.

        Polydeoxyribonucleotide and Microlens Array-type, Nanosecond-domain Neodymium:Yttrium-aluminum-garnet Laser Treatment for Scars from Costal Cartilage Harvest Surgery: Case Series of 9 Patients

        Background and Objectives: Surgery for harvesting costal cartilage is often required for revision septorhinoplasty due to a lack of septal cartilage in patients with a severely contracted nose, and postoperative scarring on the anterolateral rib cage commonly requires additional treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of combined polydeoxy-ribonucleotide (PDRN) and microlens array (MLA)-type nanosecond-domain neodymium (Nd):yttrium-aluminum-garnet (YAG) laser treatment for postoperative scars after costal cartilage harvest surgery. Materials and Methods: Nine Korean patients with scars after costal cartilage harvest surgery treated with PDRN injections and MLA-type Nd:YAG laser treatments were retrospectively reviewed. Results: Most of the scar lesions exhibited clinical improvement at 2 weeks after PDRN and MLA-type nanosecond-domain laser treatments, and the lesions further improved after adding more treatment sessions. The median Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS) score decreased from 6 (inter-quartile range [IQR]: 6-7) before combined intralesional PDRN injection and MLA-type, nanosecond-domain Nd:YAG laser treatments to 3 (IQR: 2-4) thereafter. Patient satisfaction after the combination treatments was rated as satisfactory. None of our patients reported major adverse events. Conclusion: This case series study demonstrated that combined PDRN and MLA-type, nanosecond-domain Nd:YAG laser treatments are effective and safe for treating scars from costal cartilage harvest surgery.
