Identification of the Part of Soccer Court from Video Signal by Neural Networks
Kenji Ishida,Masahiro Tanaka 제어로봇시스템학회 2008 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2008 No.10
Recently, it is becoming a popular practice to use character information in broadcasting video programs. This is useful for handicapped people with ears. In some cases, the characters are typed by typists. In that respect, it should be an important technology to produce the abstracted character information from the video information. The abstracted information will be useful for the normal audience, CG representation of the program, and store the game abstract in databases. In this paper, we will deal with the video processing part to identify the part of the court.
Brane-localized masses in magnetic compactifications
Ishida, Makoto,Nishiwaki, Kenji,Tatsuta, Yoshiyuki American Physical Society 2017 Physical review. D Vol.95 No.9
<P>We discuss the effects of the brane-localized mass terms on the fixed points of the toroidal orbifold T-2/Z(2) under the presence of background magnetic fluxes, where multiple lowest and higher-level Kaluza-Klein (KK) modes are realized before introducing the localized masses in general. Using linear algebra, we find that, in each KK level, one or more of the degenerate KK modes are almost inevitably perturbed, when single or multiple brane-localized mass terms are introduced. When the typical scale of the compactification is far above the electroweak scale or the TeV scale, we apply this mechanism for uplifting unwanted massless or light modes which are prone to appear in models on magnetized orbifolds.</P>

We constructed four recombinant plasm ids to enhance the production of clavulanic acid (CA) in Streptomyces clavuligerus NRRL3585: (1) pIBRHL1, which includes ccaR, a pathway-specific regulatory gene involved in cephamycin C and CA biosynthesis; (2) pIBRHL2, containing claR, again a regulatory gene, which controls the late steps of CA biosynthesis; (3) pGIBR containing afsR-p, a global regulatory gene from Streptomyces peucetius; and (4) pKS, which harbors all of the genes (ccaR/ claR/ afsR-p). The plasmids were expressed in S. clavuligerus NRRL3585 along with the $ermE^*$ promoter. All of them enhanced the production of CA; 2.5-fold overproduction for pIBRHL1, 1.5-fold for pIBRHL2, 1.6-fold for pGIBR, and 1.5-fold for pKS compared to the wild type.
Dielectric and Fluorescence Study on Phase Transitions in Liquid Crystal 5CB and 8CB
Kohji Abe,Atsushi Usami,Kenji Ishida,Takeshi Shigenalri,Yoshiharu Fukushima 한국물리학회 2005 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.46 No.1
Successive phase transitions, isotropic(I)-nematic(N)-crystal(C) of 5CB (pentyl cyanobiphenyl) and I-N-smectic(Sm)-C of 8CB (octyl cyanobiphenyl) were studied by dielectric measurement and time-resolved uorescence spectroscopy. Dielectric constants in 5CB and 8CB are very similar and show a considerable change at the I-N transition and an abrupt decrease at the crystallization point. In uorescence spectra, a broad and intense band from excimers (dimers in the excited state) and a weak band from monomers are observed at around at 405 nm and 350 nm, respectively. The temperature dependence of uorescence spectra and lifetime show a gradual change before the melting point as a precursor of the rst-order transition, while only little change was observed at the N-I transition

We performed 75As-NMR measurements in H k ab to investigate the normal-state magnetic properties of CeRh₂As₂, a recently-discovered heavy-fermion superconductor. We compared the NMR Knight shift K with the magnetic susceptibility χab, and estimated the hyperfine coupling constant Ahf from the slope of the K - χ plot. We observed that the magnitude of Ahf;ab at the As(1) site changes at around 20 K owing to emerging the heavy-fermion state, which was also observed in Ahf at the As(2) site and in H || c. The sign of Ahf;ab at the As(1) site is negative in low temperature. These are important for the analysis of the NMR results of CeRh₂As₂ in the superconducting state.
