Since any exercise program is related with health, we cannot but take into consideration the efficiency of fat consumption. This study was aimed at determining the effects of the exercise programs combining jogging and weight training on nutrient-wise energy consumption in order to facilitate consumption of fat during exercise. To this end, 10 male students attending department of sports science of T University located in Incheon were sampled to be subject to exercise programs combining jogging and weight training. The subjects were urged to do weight training before jogging or vice versa. Then, intake of oxygen and output of carbon dioxide were measured after each session to analyze the amount of carbohydrate and fat based on the breathing exchange rate. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; There was found no significant difference of oxygen and calorie consumption between two exercise programs, but carbohydrate was more consumed by weight training after jogging, while fat was more consumed by jogging after weight training. During rest after exercise, more oxygen, carbohydrate, fat and calorie were consumed when weight training followed jogging, and during recovery time, more oxygen, carbohydrate, fat and calories were consumed when jogging followed weight training.
활성오니법에 있어서 Induced Aerator의 효능에 관한 연구

This study was carried out to study the efficiency of the induced aerator which causes nearly complete mixing and high oxygen-transfer in the aerator. With varying rpm, the oxygen-transfer coefficient was determined. The removal efficiency of substrate was measured analytically by varying feed concentration, feed flow rate, and rpm at constant biomass recycle ratio. The experimental results show that the oxygen-transfer coefficient varies linearly with rpm, and the optimum rpm is 3000. By expressing the specific substrate utilization rate constant, K with regard to rpm, the rate constant, K was investigated with varying dilution rate. The DO concentration, the removal of COD and BOD?, and the effect of MLSS in the aerator was also investigated with varying rpm.

The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of Strength and cardiorespiratory function of man weight lifter. Athletes group was that ten weight lifters of H University in Seoul and Non-Athletes group was that ten male students of H University did not especially player activity. Weight lifters career was about four years. The result of statistics data were as follows. 1. Comparison of Strength Back strength showed significant difference (p<0.001) between groups. Grip strength, Bench press and Squat showed significant diffence(p<0.001) between groups. 2. Comparison of Body weight. Heart Rate. HR max, VE max. VO, max, and 0.pulse. Body weight and rest heart rate showed significant difference (p<0.01) between groups and V0,max showed significant difference (p<0.001) between groups. But 0,pulse showed significant difference (p<0.001) between groups. 3. Comparison of Blood pressure During rest systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure did not showed significant difference between groups. During exercise systolic lood pressure showed significant difference (p<0.001) but during exercise diastolic blood pressure did not showed between groups.
기포부상분리법에 의한 Cu(Ⅱ)의 제거에 있어서 유동특성에 관한 연구

This investigation was carried out to study the dynamic characteristics of the removal of Cu(II) from wastewater by the technique of foam fractionation, using sodium-dodecylbenzenesulfornate (DBS) as a foaming agent. The surface excess concentration of Cu(II) with the change of DBS concentration in feed solution and superficial gas velocity was obtained by measuring foam diameter. The value of HTU with the change of DBS concentration and superficial gas velocity was determing by measuring superficial liquid velocity. The experimental results are obtained as follows: 1. When Cu(II) concentration in feed solution is constant, the surface excess concentration of Cu(II) increased as DBS concentration increased. But decreased as superficial gas velocity increased. 2. Equilibrium constant (Tcu/Cw) between the surface excess concentration of foam and the concentration of interstitial liquid increased as DBS concentration in feed solution increased. However it was not affected by the change of superficial gas velocity. 3. For the superficial gas velocity above 10cm/min, the empirical equation was derived as follows: HTU = 2 exp [0.642(??) - 0.19(??)] where, C??(DBS) denotes the DBS concentration in feed solution, and v is the superficial gas velocity.
폐수 처리에 있어서 중금속 이온의 Ferrite 생성에 관한 연구

This investigation was carried out to conduct the formation of Ferrite from heavy metal ions in industrial wastewater. In this study, wastewater was treated with alkali and ferrous sulfate solutions in Batch/CSTR, under the various, conditions, to form Zn-and Mn-ferrite. The optimum conditions were found from the batchwise experiment;??/?? mole ratio was 5.0 at 65℃ of reaction temperature in 90min. of residence time, thereby obtaining the chemical composition of ferrite such as (??)?? ?? in 92.6% of yield(wt.%). And the experimental results of continuous operation in CSTR were obtained for the formation of ferrite such that the residence time was more than 80min. with the previously obtained optimum conditions for more than 85% of yield.
유산양 유방염에 대한 Chitosan 약침의 치료 효과

To improve the therapeutic method for mastitis, treatment effect of chitosan pharmacopuncture was examined in three milking goats(A,B and C). Mastitis was artificially induced in two milking goats(A and B) and one goat(C) was naturally infected case with mastitis. The acupoint used was Yang-Ming and chitosan suspensions(provided from Tottory University, Japan: 30㎎ of chitosan/㎖)were injected to the acupoint with 5㎖/time for 3 days, respectively. As for the change of somatic cells in milk along with chitosan pharmacopuncture, they showed a decreasing tendency after increase on the 3rd day in all udders of B. In addition, as for the change of total leukocyte counts of peripheral blood with chitosan pharmacopuncture, they showed a decreasing tendency after increase on the 3rd day in B and C except A which showed a increasing tendency until on the 7th day. In the change of neutrophil/lymphocyte(N/L) ratio, increasing tendency was seen in A and C but increasing tendency after slight decrease was observed in B. Further, in the change of serum total protein and A/G ratio, serum total protein content was decreased after slightly increase on the 3rd day in A, and they were decreased after increase until on the 7th day in B and C, respectively. As for the change of A/G ratio, different pattern increasing tendency was shown in A, B and C.
Treatment of Melasma in Asian Skin Using a Fractional 1,550-nm Laser: An Open Clinical Study

<P>BACKGROUND</P><P>Melasma is a common hyperpigmentation disorder that can cause refractory cosmetic disfigurement, especially in Asians. Fractional photothermolysis (FP) has been reported to be effective for the treatment of melasma, despite small study populations and short follow-up periods.</P><P>OBJECTIVE</P><P>To evaluate the efficacy and safety of FP for the treatment of melasma in Asians.</P><P>PATIENTS AND METHODS</P><P>Twenty-five patients with melasma received four monthly FP sessions and were followed up to 24 weeks after treatment completion. Efficacy was evaluated using objective and subjective ratings, Melasma Area and Severity Index (MASI), melanin index tracking, and skin elasticity measurements.</P><P>RESULTS</P><P>Investigators observed clinical improvements in 60% and patients in 44% at 4 weeks after treatment, but the figures decreased to 52% and 35%, respectively, at 24 weeks after treatment. Mean MASI scores decreased significantly from 7.6 to 6.2. Mean melanin index decreased significantly after the first two sessions, but it relapsed slightly in subsequent follow-ups. The treatment did not alter skin elasticity. Hyperpigmentation was observed in three of 23 subjects (13%).</P><P>CONCLUSION</P><P>Treatment of melasma with FP led to some clinical improvements, but it was not as efficacious as previously reported at 6-month follow-up. We recommend judicious use of FP for the treatment of melasma in Asian skin because of its limited efficacy.</P>
