Joint Time Delay and Angle Estimation Using the Matrix Pencil Method Based on Information Reconstruction Vector

( Haiwen Li ),( Xiukun Ren ),( Ting Bai ),( Long Zhang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.12

A single snapshot data can only provide limited amount of information so that the rank of covariance matrix is not full, which is not adopted to complete the parameter estimation directly using the traditional super-resolution method. Aiming at solving the problem, a joint time delay and angle estimation using matrix pencil method based on information reconstruction vector for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal is proposed. Firstly, according to the channel frequency response vector of each array element, the algorithm reconstructs the vector data with delay and angle parameter information from both frequency and space dimensions. Then the enhanced data matrix for the extended array element is constructed, and the parameter vector of time delay and angle is estimated by the two-dimensional matrix pencil (2D MP) algorithm. Finally, the joint estimation of two-dimensional parameters is accomplished by the parameter pairing. The algorithm does not need a pseudo-spectral peak search, and the location of the target can be determined only by a single receiver, which can reduce the overhead of the positioning system. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the estimation accuracy of the proposed method in a single snapshot and low signal-to-noise ratio environment is much higher than that of Root Multiple Signal Classification algorithm (Root-MUSIC), and this method also achieves the higher estimation performance and efficiency with lower complexity cost compared to the one-dimensional matrix pencil algorithm.

RBPJ contributes to acquired docetaxel resistance in prostate cancer cells

        Li Xue,Zhenlong Wang,Hecheng Li,Zhaolun Li,Qi Chen,Peng Zhang,Haiwen Chen,Ziming Wang,Tie Chong,T. Chong 대한독성 유전단백체 학회 2017 Molecular & cellular toxicology Vol.13 No.3

Our previous work has shown that depletion of recombination signal-binding protein J (RBPJ) results in reduced cell growth in prostate cancer cells. In this study, we aimed to investigate the function of RBPJ in the chemoresistance of prostate cancer. The expression of RBPJ was quantified in docetaxel-resistant and parental prostate cancer cells. Loss- and gainof- function experiments were conducted to explore the regulatory role of RBPJ in prostate cancer sensitivity to docetaxel. The pro-apoptotic effect of RBPJ silencing was checked in docetaxel-resistant prostate cancer cells. We found that docetaxel-resistant PC3-DR and DU145- DR cells expressed 3-5-fold high levels of RBPJ than parental PC3 and DU145 cells. Short hairpin RNAmediated knockdown of RBPJ inhibited cell proliferation and colony formation and reversed docetaxel resistance in docetaxel-resistant prostate cancer cells. In contrast, overexpression of RBPJ promoted cell growth, colony formation, and docetaxel resistance in parental prostate cancer cells. Downregulation of RBPJ induced apoptosis in docetaxel-resistant cells, which was accompanied by enhanced cleavage of caspase-3. In addition, RBPJ silencing or overexpression markedly modulated the expression of the Bcl-2 family members including Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, Mcl-1, Bax, and Bak. Altogether, RBPJ contributes to acquisition of docetaxel resistance in prostate cancer cells and may thus represent a potential target for overcoming chemotherapeutic resistance in this malignancy.

Compact Dual-Wideband Bandpass Filter with Multimode Resonator

        Haiwen Liu,Shen Li,Xuehui Guan,Baoping Ren,Jiuhuai Lei,yanwang 한국전자통신연구원 2014 ETRI Journal Vol.36 No.1

A microstrip dual-wideband bandpass filter using amultimode resonator (MMR) is proposed in this letter. Theproposed MMR loaded with a T-shaped open-ended stub and ashort-ended stub exhibits triple mode characteristics, and asynthesis method is developed to illustrate the wide passbandwith independently controllable center frequencies andbandwidths. To verify this design methodology, a dualwidebandfilter with fractional bandwidths of 19.1% and27.9% is designed and fabricated. The measured results agreewith the simulations.

        Quad-Band Bandpass Filter Using Quad-Mode Stub-loaded Resonators

        Haiwen Liu,Xiaomei Wang,YAN WANG,Shen Li,Yulong Zhao,Xuehui Guan 한국전자통신연구원 2014 ETRI Journal Vol.36 No.4

Compact multi-band bandpass filters using quad-mode stubloadedresonators are proposed in this letter. Firstly, a novelapproach about the mode-splitting characteristics of thequadruple-mode resonator is investigated, which can providedual-band behavior. Secondly, a quad-band filter is proposedand designed by cascading two quadruple-mode resonators;the upper one operates at 1.8/2.4 GHz (GSM- and WiMaxband)and the lower one at 1.57/2.1 GHz (GPS- and WCDMAband). Finally, the proposed filters have been fabricated. Respectable agreement between simulation and measurementverifies the validity of this design methodology.

        Li, Chunji,Qi, Wentao,Wang, Haiwen Korean Mathematical Society 2020 대한수학회보 Vol.57 No.1

Let m ∈ ℕ0, p > 1 and $${\alpha}^{[m,p]}(x)\;:\;{\sqrt{x}},\;\{{\sqrt{\frac{(m+n-1)p-(m+n-2)}{(m+n)p-(m+n-1)}}}\}^{\infty}_{n=1}$$. In this paper, we consider the backward extensions of Bergman-type weighted shift Wα[m,p](x). We consider its subnormality, k-hyponormality and positive quadratic hyponormality. Our results include all the results on Bergman weighted shift Wα(x) with m ∈ ℕ and $${\alpha}(x)\;:\;{\sqrt{x}},\;{\sqrt{\frac{m}{m+1}},\;{\sqrt{\frac{m}{m+2}},\;{\sqrt{\frac{m+2}{m+3}},{\cdots}$$.

Novel Quasi-Elliptic Function Bandpass Filter Using Hexagonal Resonators with Capacitive Loading

        Changtao Wang,Wenming Li,Feng Liu,Haiwen Liu 한국전자통신연구원 2008 ETRI Journal Vol.30 No.4

A novel and compact elliptic-function bandpass filter is proposed in this letter. The techniques of slot etching and the addition of open stubs are applied to enhance the self-inductance and self-capacitance of hexagonal openloop resonators. Thus, size reduction and improved transmission performance are obtained. Compared to the performance of the conventional design, the central frequency and insertion loss are reduced by 28% and 3.1 dB, respectively. Measurements show that the proposed filter has a fraction bandwidth of 23% at the central frequency of 1.84 GHz, and its insertion loss in the passband is less than -1.5 dB. The bandpass filter occupies only 12 mm×21.2 mm (approximately 0.24λg×0.14λg).

Effect of sintering atmosphere on ferroelectric properties of SBT ferroelectric ceramics

        Feng-Qing Zhang,Chunzhen Li,Haiwen Li,Xiaodong Guo,Suhua Fan 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2018 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.19 No.2

The effect of sintering atmosphere on the properties of SBT ferroelectric ceramics was studied by sol-gel method and interlayerannealing process. It was found that the sintered samples in oxygen atmosphere had more a-axis-oriented grains and moregrains which are perpendicular to the plane than those in air atmosphere. The Curie temperature of the samples obtained bysintering in oxygen and air atmosphere is Tc = 273 oC and Tc = 265 oC, and the conductivating energy Ea = 0.94 eV and Ea =0.66 eV, respectively. The residual polarization intensity of the samples sintered in air atmosphere is 2Pr = 15.3 μC/cm2, thecorresponding coercive field is Ec = 51 kV/cm; the residual polarization intensity of the sample sintered in oxygen atmosphereis 2Pr = 16.6 μC/cm2, and the corresponding coercive field is about Ec = 45 kV/cm. That is because the samples sintered in theoxygen atmosphere has larger lattice distortion, lower oxygen vacancy concentration and larger a-axis oriented grains, whichare favorable for the increase of the remnant polarization and reduction of the coercive field.
