Vegetative insecticidal proteins (Vips) are insecticidal proteins synthesized by Bacillus thuringiensis during the vegetative stage of growth. In this study, Vip3Aa protein, obtained by in vitro expression of the vip3Aa gene from B. thuringiensis WB5, displayed high insecticidal activity against Spodoptera litura aside from Spodoptera exigua and Helicoverpa armigera. Bioassay results showed that the toxicity of Vip3Aa protein against S. litura larvae statistically decreased along with the increase of the age of the larvae, with LC<sub>50</sub> = 2.609 ng/cm² for neonatal larvae, LC<sub>50</sub> = 28.778 ng/cm² for first instar larvae, LC<sub>50</sub> = 70.460 ng/cm² for second instar larvae, and LC<sub>50</sub> = 200.627 ng/cm² for third instar larvae. The accumulative mortality of 100% larvae appeared at 72 h for all instars of S. litura larvae, when feeding respectively with 83.22, 213.04, 341.40, and 613.20 ng/cm² of Vip3Aa toxin to the neonatal and first to third instar larvae. The histopathological effects of Vip3Aa toxin on the midgut epithelial cells of S. litura larvae was also investigated. The TEM observations showed wide damage of the epithelial cell in the midgut of S. litura larvae fed with Vip3Aa toxin.

PURPOSE : With the advent of the AI and multi-media in 21st century, the innovation of media technology has brought new opportunities and challenges to the communication of academic journals. RESULTS : The study concluded that AI + multi-media can help sports academic journals realize the efficient production of academic papers, the diversified publication of academic achievements, and the precise distribution of academic ideas. CONCLUSIONS : It is also necessary to pay attention to the challenges, which are the accelerated imbalance in academic publishing ecology, slow enhancment of academic attractiveness, and becoming fomality in academic communication. The authors also puts forward the tactics, such as balancing technical rationality and value rationality, promoting the integration of technology and content, and strengthening the depth of accurate communication.

The effects of alkalization treatments on color,colorimetric fractions, total polyphenol content, andanthocyanin content of cocoa powder were investigated. Adarker color and a lower total polyphenol content wereobtained for cocoa powder alkalized using a K2CO3solution than with an NaOH solution. A high temperatureand basic pH conditions favored formation of darkcomponents during alkalization due to sugar degradation,Maillard reactions, and anthocyanin polymerizing. Theanthocyanin content decreased with an increasing alkaliconcentration, suggesting that more anthocyanins weretransformed into brown polymers in darker cocoa powder. Cocoa powder with a heavy degree of alkalization had thelowest ratio of monomer anthocyanins to yellow/brownpolymer content. OD460/OD525 values for alkalized sampleswere higher than for non-alkalized samples. Cocoa powderpresented a better color quality after alkalization treatment.

This paper introduces a design scheme of intelligent gas valve management and service system based onInternet. This scheme adds sensor and general packet radio service (GPRS) modules to the traditional gas valveand establishes communication connection between gas valve and the server through wireless packetcommunication technology, which makes the traditional gas valve have the networking ability. Compared withthe traditional gas valve management and service business, the method proposed in this paper is moreconvenient and efficient.
