      • An Improved OSPF Routing Algorithm Based on Quotient and Granularity Space Theory

        As the rapid increasing of Internet users from all over the world, it is necessary to enhance the reliability and compatibility of network when large number of data transferred frequently. One of the most important services is routing method since enormous data are transferred and exchanged within the network. This paper introduces an improved OSPF routing algorithm which uses the quotient and granularity space theory. Based on the simulation and experiments, several key findings are observed. Firstly, using the improved algorithm, the convergence time is much less than the no hierarchical network and the performance is better in terms of OSPF response. Secondly, it is found that the bandwidth utilization reaches 30Kbit/s, comparing with the network without hierarchy, the improvement is 40% that the bandwidth utilization increased from 18Kbit/s to 30 Kbit/s. The hierarchical network outperforms the one without layers.

      • Study on WBAN-Based Efficient and Energy-Saving Access Mechanisms

        With the constant development of wireless communication technology and gradual maturity of sensor technology, WBAN has gradually become research focus, mainly used in such fields as medical treatment, daily life, entertainment and military. Its main units are sensor nodes, responsible for data collection, processing and transmission. Sensor nodes are usually powered by batteries, and due to limited energy, reducing energy consumption of sensor nodes and extending the life cycle of such nodes are of great importance to WBAN. In this paper, WBAN is briefly introduced first, and the research status of MAC protocols for WBAN is analyzed, with focus placed on the introduction to wakeup radio mechanism-based MAC protocols. Then priority is set for business type and sensor nodes, emergency business data flow is simplified and TDMA modulation mechanism is adopted to optimize awake up radio-based protocol. The optimized MAC protocol has realized a good result in terms of energy consumption reduction of WBAN, reduced terminal node energy consumption and extended the network lifetime.

      • Root Health Evaluation of Different Alfalfa Varieties in Agricultural and Animal Husbandly Areas

        Research on alfalfa root morphology and health is very important in development of technology for efficient improvement and production of alfalfa. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the root morphology and health of two alfalfa varieties, Algonquin and Golden Queen, to determine relationships among root morphology traits and root health. Results from these analyses indicated t㏊t yield was 6.77-43.93 t/h㎡, total root length ranged from 215.17-708.89 ㎜, root surface area ranged from 93.61-717.06 ㎠, volume ranged from 3.24-57.72㎤. Results from these analyses indicated t㏊t root infestation score was the lowest averaged over age of alfalfa stand in Algonquin. Yield in 2-yr old stands was greater in Golden Queen compared to Algonquin.

        日中比較法の視点から見る中国のシェアリング · エコノミーの現状と法的対策

        중국에서는 셰어링 이코노미(sharing economy) 아래에서 급속도로 새로운 취로 형태가 보급되고 있다. 그러한 상황 속에서 플랫폼을 제공하는 측이 다양한 수단을 통해 사용자책임을 면하고자 하는 탓에 전통적인 근로자성과 노동관계를 인정하는 기준에는 새로운 도전이 제기되고 있다. 중국에는 근로자나 근로관계의 법적 정의가 존재하지 않으며, 근로자성 유무는 오로지 「통지」 차원의 실무상 판단에 맡겨져 있다. 특히 인터넷 배차 서비스의 경우, 취로 실태를 불문하고 근로계약과 도급계약 중 어느 쪽을 체결할 것인지의 선택권을 당사자에게 부여한다는 독특한 규제 방법이 채택된 점은 전통적인 근로자성 판단과 사뭇 구별되는 논의로서 주목된다. 또 새로운 취로 형태 아래에서는 본업과 부업의 구별이 어렵다는 점, 사용자책임의 귀속이 명확하지 않은 점이 지적되고 있으며, 근로시간이 짧을수록 업적 평가가 높아지는 완전한 「성과급」 제도가 나타나고 있는 등의 현상에도 주의할 필요가 있다. 이러한 실무상 문제에 대응하기 위해 근로자를 요보호성의 정도에 따라 구분하고, 「당사자 자치」와 「근로자 보호」 사이의 균형을 고려한 법률안도 검토되고 있으나, 전체적으로 본다면 중국에서는 법적 대응이 취로 형태의 새로운 변화를 충분히 수용하고 있지 못하며, 새로운 취로형태를 “노동관계”로 인정할 때의 사회적 비용 등이 중시되고 있어 향후의 입법 , 사법 차원의 새로운 전개가 주목된다. In China, new forms of employment related to sharing economy are spreading rapidly. When operating it, the platform side makes use of various means in order to escape employer’s responsibility, bringing a big challenge to certify employee nature and the labor relationship. In case of China, there is no legal definition of employee or labor relationship, and the presence or absence of employee nature is left to the practical judgment of the notice level exclusively. When arranging a car through the Internet (like Uber), the contracting parties have the right to choose between labor contract and service contract regardless of the actual status of working. In addition, under new forms of employment, it is impossible to distinguish between main business and side jobs, the trend of employer responsibility is not clear, and a shorter working time with higher performance evaluation which means a perfect “performance based pay system” should also be noted. In order to deal with these practical problems, legislation that classifies workers and balances between “party autonomy” and “worker protection” according to the degree of protection required is under consideration.

        Cough Inhibition Activity of Schisandra chinensis in Guinea Pigs

        Chronic cough is very common in respiratory clinics, and no effective drugs are available. Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill. (S. chinensis), an important traditional Chinese medicine, has been extensively prescribed for patients with a persistent cough. Preliminary research indicated that 95% ethanol extracts (EE) of S. chinensis showed remarkable antitussive activity in guinea pigs exposed to cigarette smoke (CS). To find out the antitussive ingredients of S. chinensis, EE was divided into four fractions according to the polarity: petroleum ether extract (PEE), ethyl acetate extract (ECE), n-butyl alcohol extract, and residue extract. The antitussive, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects of the four fractions were evaluated in a guinea pig model of cough hypersensitivity induced by CS exposure. Eighteen main constituents of the two effective fractions, PEE and ECE, were identified using ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography electronic spray ion time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The cough inhibition activities of compound 1, 3, 9, 10, 17 were evaluated on citric acid induced acute cough guinea pigs. The results showed that the antitussive activity of EE was almost all contained in PEE and ECE. The 16 major peaks in PEE were identified as 15 lignans (1–12 and 14–16) and 1 triterpene (compound 13), and 3 major peaks (1, 17, and 18) in ECE were also identified as lignans. Three doses of five compounds brought about a significant decrease in number of cough efforts (P < .01), and the cough inhibition rates were between 40.9% and 85.1%. Therefore, lignans are the antitussive ingredients of S. chinensis.

        Endovascular Repair of Blunt Popliteal Arterial Injuries

        Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of endovascular repair for blunt popliteal arterial injuries. Materials and Methods: A retrospective analysis of seven patients with clinical suspicion of popliteal arterial injuries that were confirmed by arteriography was performed from September 2009 to July 2014. Clinical data included demographics, mechanism of injury, type of injury, location of injury, concomitant injuries, time of endovascular procedures, time interval from trauma to blood flow restoration, instrument utilized, and follow-up. All patients were male (mean age of 35.9 ± 10.3 years). The type of lesion involved intimal injury (n = 1), partial transection (n = 2), complete transection (n = 2), arteriovenous fistula (n = 1), and pseudoaneurysm (n = 1). All patients underwent endovascular repair of blunt popliteal arterial injuries. Results: Technical success rate was 100%. Intimal injury was treated with a bare-metal stent. Pseudoaneurysm and popliteal artery transections were treated with bare-metal stents. Arteriovenous fistula was treated with bare-metal stent and coils. No perioperative death and procedure-related complication occurred. The average follow-up was 20.9 ± 2.3 months (range 18–24 months). One patient underwent intra-arterial thrombolysis due to stent thrombosis at 18 months after the procedure. All limbs were salvaged. Stent migration, deformation, or fracture was not found during the follow-up. Conclusion: Endovascular repair seems to be a viable approach for patients with blunt popliteal arterial injuries, especially on an emergency basis. Endovascular repair may be effective in the short-term. Further studies are required to evaluate the long-term efficacy of endovascular repair.

      • Asynchronous Emergence Mechanisms of Anatatus orientalis (Hymenoptera: Eupelmidae), an Egg Parasitoid of Lantern-fly Lycorma delicatula (Hemiptera: Fulgoridae)

        Anatatus orientalis is an important natural enemy parasitizing eggs of lanternfly Lycorma delicatula White. In order to effectively utilize this parasitoid, the parasitism rates of lantern-fly and emergence of its parasitoid were surveyed in different areas. Results showed that the emergences of wasp Anatatus orientalis from different areas had significant differences. Those parasitoids emerged from lantern-fly eggs collected from Yangling of Shaanxi province, Qinhuangdao of Hebei province, and Dagang District of Tianjin City came out focus on May only, while wasps from Yantai of Shandong province showed 2 obvious emergence peaks in May and September respectively. Wasp populations with emergence asynchrony in Yantai area were analyzed by different periods. Results revealed that the emergence percentages in spring (May) were significantly lower than that in fall (September), but the sex ratios did not differ significantly between the two seasons. The emergence asynchrony of parasitoid may be induced by the diapause of species, which is a long-term coevolutional outcome of parasitoid with host for maintaining its population. These findings provided some scientific bases for the rational utilization of this parasitoid in practice.

        Closed-form Green's functions for transversely isotropic bi-solids with a slipping interface

        Green's functions are obtained in exact closed-forms for the elastic fields in bi-material elastic solids with slipping interface and differing transversely isotropic properties induced by concentrated point and ring force vectors. For the concentrated point force vector, the Green functions are expressed in terms of elementary harmonic functions. For the concentrated ring force vector, the Green functions are expressed in terms of the complete elliptic integral. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the effect of anisotropic bi-material properties on the transmission of normal contact stress and the discontinuity of lateral displacements at the slipping interface. The closed-form Green's functions are systematically presented in matrix forms which can be easily implemented in numerical schemes such as boundary element methods to solve elastic problems in computational mechanics.

        Shotgun analysis on the peritrophic membrane of the silkworm Bombyx mori

        The insect midgut epithelium is generally lined with a unique chitin and protein structure, the peritrophic membrane (PM), which facilitates food digestion and protects the gut epithelium. We used gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry to identify the extracted proteins from the silkworm PM to obtain an in-depth understanding of the biological function of the silkworm PM components. A total of 305 proteins, with molecular weights ranging from 8.02 kDa to 788.52 kDa and the isoelectric points ranging from 3.39 to 12.91, were successfully identified. We also found several major classes of PM proteins, i.e. PM chitin-binding protein, invertebrate intestinal mucin, and chitin deacetylase. The protein profile provides a basis for further study of the physiological events in the PM of Bombyx mori.
