A analysis of environmental text book for secondary education has been conducted toward ecocentric education, eventually to provide a creative and open-minded teaching. Based on the result of analysis, the following problems suggested, the content of the text book has too wide scope for the intelligence of the middle school student. Furthermore, the text book is mainly focused on demonstrating the surface of the phenomena as an existing public nuisance in society, however, the present book deals with the superficial aspects of environmental problems and makes the problems considered as simple. From the analysis study of present environmental text book several suggestion has been conducted as follows : First, additional education units are needed for judgement traning toward emotional approach to law of nature and environmental phenomena. Second, it is necessary for teachers to develop various teaching methods in an environmental class.

Stern tube bearing is a shaft device playing important roles to reduce the friction of axial rotation and to support the weight of shaft. However, because there is no domestic producer of stern tube bering, imported stern tube bearings have many practical problems including prices, delivery and after services. This is why stern tube bearing should be localization. For the purpose of development of polyurethane resin for stern tube bearings, the effect of additives on the hardness, tensile strength and elongation of the polyurethane resin were systematically investigated. For the preliminary researches, depending on the type of curing agent, MOCA type and non-MOCA type polyurethanes were synthesized. Preliminary researches concluded that MOCA type polyurethane resin has more excellent mechanical properties than non-MPCA type for stern tube bearings that Tensile strength and Hardness of non-MOCA type investigated 23 D, 4.3 Mpa. Therefore, MOCA type polyurethane was adapted as base resin of this research. Silica, calcium carbonate and graphite were selected as additives for the enhancement of mechanical properties of polyurethane resin. Effect of the type and the dosage of these additives on the hardness, tensile strength, elongation of the polyurethane resin were experimentally examined. However, addition of calcium carbonate and graphite showed only minor effect on the hardness of the resin. Polyurethane resin with silica showed relatively excellent hardness, tensile strength and improved elongation.

Radioprotective effects of amentoflavone were investigated by examining cell viability, apoptosis, cell cycling concentrations of intracellular ROS (reactive oxygen species), and relative mitochondrial mass by flow cytometry after $^{60}Co$ irradiation. Pretreatment with amentoflavone 24 hours prior to 8 Gy $^{60}Co$ ${\gamma}$-ray irradiation significantly inhibited apoptosis, promoted the G2 phase, decreased the concentration of ROS and mitochondrial mass. These results collectively indicate that amentoflavone is an effective radioprotective agent.

비교적 낮은 온도와 상압에서 전구체 Titanium(IV) sulfate와 염기성 용액을 반응시키는 수열합성법을 이용하여 소성과정을 거치지 않고 TiO2 나노입자를 제조하였다. 염기성 용액의 종류(NaOH, NH4OH, Monoethanolamine, Diethanolamine, Triethanolamine), 첨가되는 계면활성제의 종류(CTAB, Span 20, SDBS)와 농도, 제조 온도, pH 등을 변화시켜 TiO2를 제조하였고, 생성되는 입자의 결정성, 입자크기 등과 같은 물리적 특성은 XRD, SEM, Zeta-potential 등을 사용하여 분석하였다. 또한, 광촉매적 특성을 확인하기 위하여 DRS를 통해 흡광면적을 측정, 비교하였다. 침전제로 사용된 염기성 물질 중 NaOH가 결정성이 우수하고 입자크기가 작은 TiO2를 제조하는데 가장 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다. 계면활성제는 양이온성 계면활성제인 CTAB를 첨가한 경우 다른 계면활성제보다 작은 크기의 TiO2를 제조할 수 있었다. 그리고 동일한 조건에서 전구체인 Ti(SO4)2와 CTAB의 농도비를 10 : 1로 조절한 경우 CTAB를 첨가하지 않은 경우보다 제조되는 TiO2 입자의 크기는 약 1/10인 5.8 nm로 감소하였다. Nanosized TiO2 particles were prepared from titanium (IV) sulfate solution using base solutions at low reaction temperature (95 oC) and atmospheric pressure by hydrothermal precipitation method without calcination. The effects of preparation conditions, such as kind of base solutions (NaOH, NH4OH, Monoethanolamine, Diethanolamine, Triethanolamine) and surfactants (CTAB, Span 20, SDBS), concentration of surfactants, temperature and pH, on the physical properties of TiO2 particles have been investigated by XRD, SEM and Zeta-potential meter. Absorption area was also investigated by DRS in order to confirm the photocatalytic activity of the nanosized TiO2 particles. It was turned out that, among base solutions, NaOH provides the smallest TiO2 particles with excellent crystallinity. And cationic surfactant (CTAB) prepared smaller TiO2 particles than any other surfactants. When CTAB is added in the concentration ratio of Ti(SO4)2:CTAB=10:1, TiO2 particles with particle diameter of 5.8 nm were prepared. This is approximately 1/10 of that prepared without CTAB.

In the acute burn management protocol of Singapore General Hospital, early surgical debridement is advocated for all acute partial-thickness burns. The aim of early surgical debridement is to remove all debris and unhealthy tissue, preventing wound infection and thereby expediting wound healing. In chemical burns, there can be stubborn eschars that are resistant to traditional debridement. We would like to present a novel technique using the diathermy scratch pad as a cheap and efficient tool for the dual purpose of surgical debridement and dermabrasion.

To assess structural condition in a non-destructive manner, computer vision-based structural health monitoring (SHM) has become a focus. Compared to traditional contact-type sensors, the advantages of computer vision-based measurement systems include lower installation costs and broader measurement areas. In this study, we propose a novel computer vision-based vibration measurement and coarse-to-fine damage assessment method for truss bridges. First, a deep learning model FairMOT is introduced to track the regions of interest (ROIs) that include joints to enhance the automation performance compared with traditional target tracking algorithms. To calculate the displacement of the tracked ROIs accurately, a normalized cross-correlation method is adopted to fine-tune the offset, while the Harris corner matching is utilized to correct the vibration displacement errors caused by the non-parallel between the truss plane and the image plane. Then, based on the advantages of the stochastic damage locating vector (SDLV) and Bayesian inference-based stochastic model updating (BISMU), they are combined to achieve the coarse-to-fine localization of the truss bridge's damaged elements. Finally, the severity quantification of the damaged components is performed by the BI-SMU. The experiment results show that the proposed method can accurately recognize the vibration displacement and evaluate the structural damage.
추천시스템을 위한 내용기반 필터링과 협력필터링의 새로운 결합 기법

엄청난 속도로 증가하고 있는 정보의 홍수 시대에서는 정보들을 선별하기 위하여 정보 필터링기법이 필요하다. 정보 필터링은 내용 기반 방법과 협력에 의한 방법으로 분류할 수 있다. 내용 기반 기법에서는 내용에 기반을 두어 정보를 추출하는 반면 협력 기법은 다른 사람들의 의견을 이용하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 기존 협력 필터링 방법의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법의 일환으로 내용 기반 기법과 협력 기법을 보다 유기적으로 결합시키는 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 협력 필터링 틀을 그대로 유지하면서 사용자 프로파일을 효과적으로 이용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한, 본 논문에서 제시한 기법을 실험적으로 분석하고 기존의 필터링 기법과 비교하였다. 실험 결과, 본 방법이 예측 질 면에서 상당한 성능 향상이 있었고 새로운 사용자에게도 보다 나은 추천을 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. With the explosive growth of information in our real life, information filtering is quickly becoming a popular technique for reducing information overload. Information filtering technique is divided into two categories: content-based filtering and collaborative filtering (or social filtering). Content-based filtering selects the information based on contents; while collaborative filtering combines the opinions of other persons to make a prediction for the target user. In this paper, we describe a new filtering approach that seamlessly combines content-based filtering and collaborative filtering to take advantages from both of them, where a technique using user profiles efficiently on the collaborative filtering framework is introduced to predict a user's preference. The proposed approach is experimentally evaluated and compared to conventional filtering. Our experiments showed that the proposed approach not only achieved significant improvement in prediction quality, but also dealt with new users well.
