나노/마이크로 압입 시험에 의한 플라즈마 세라믹 용사코팅의 특성 평가

The most controversial topics in plasma sprayed ceramic coating systems are recently mechanical properties such as bond strength, cohesive strength, toughness and so on. In this research, critical fracture load(Pc) and interface toughness(Ks) of four coatings materials were computed from the applied load, crack length and Young's modulus data which were measured by micro-vickers and nano indentation test. It is reasonable to consider the Pc value as comparison data of bond strength, and the Kc value, considering a trace of indent in the interface, was computed by a modified (E/H)I<SUP>½</SUP> ratio. In the case of the high loads (9.8N and 19.6N) in the Al₂O₃+13%TiO₂ coating, the critical point(Pco) at which the coating was broken was found. Also, used by a XRD phase analysis, we checked a change of coating' s properties, predicting a possible change of the phases in plasma sprayed coating.
호기성 SBR공정에 의한 비이온성 계면활성제 NPEO 의 제거

Removal of non-ionic surfactant, nonylphenol ethoxylate (NPEO), by aerobic sequencing batch reactor was investigated using lab scale experimental apparatus. Bio-degradation of NPEO resulted in ethoxylate chain shortening and nonylphenol (NP) production. About 5mg/L of NPEO was introduced and only < 0.09mg/L of NPEO and NP was detected in treated effluent. During the aeration, NPEO and NP in mixed liquor were also reduced. Most of NP and short-chained NPEO were detected in solid phase. Anaerobic condition provided during settling of sludge and decanting of treated effluent caused increase of NP in sludge.

The Chen-cheon Citizen's Bell was cast in memory of hosting the 2010 world leasure conference and a striking ceremony was held at the city hall on December 31, 2005. In this study, vibration and sound of the bell are measured and the property of the magnificent sound of the bell is scientifically investigated. Frequency components making the sound are identified and how the frequency components decrease with time is observed using waterfall plot(3-dimensional frequency spectrum). Beat characteristics of the hum(1st frequency) and the fundamental(2nd frequency)are examined by experiment. Directivity of the sound radiation of the bell is examined by measuring the vibration and sound in several directions. Duration of the vibration and the sound is estimated using damping ratio.

In this paper, we propose the improved watershed algorithm that resolves the oversegmentation problem shown in the previous watershed algorithm and its modifications when the spatial video segmentation is performed. The principal idea of the proposed algorithm is merging the shallow catchment basin whose depth is less than a given threshold into the deeper one during flooding step. In the flooding process, the growth of the existing catchment basins and the extraction of newly flooded ones are accomplished. We present the experimental results using several MPEG test sequences in the last part of the paper. As a consequence, the proposed algorithm shows good segmentation results according to the thresholds applied by adding very small amount of calculations.

Estimation problems of parameters of the failure process and the repair effect in repairable systems are considered. We propose estimation procedures in repairable systems without preventive maintenances. The fallure process is modeled by a proportional age reduction model (Brown. Mahoney, Sivazlian [5]) which is able to consider both aging and repair effects. Maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the repair effect and parameters of intensity function simultaneously. Simulations are performed to evaluate the accuracy of estimators. A numerical example is also presented.

Background : Arterial blood gas analysis is the most comon exam in intensive care unit. In this study, the frequency of blood gas analysis and the amount of blood loss after Blood Gas Analysis in Intensive Care Unit were observed. Methods : From November 1999 to February 2000, 115 patients admitted to intensive care unit at Soonchunhyang university Kumi hospital were studied prospectively for the frequency of blood gas analysis and the amount of blood loss after blood gas analysis in Intensive Care Unit. Results : The mean value of frequency of blood gas analysis was 6.41±6.49 and the mean value of amount of blood loss after blood gas analysis was 0.78ml. This was lower than that of other foreign reports. The patients with ventilator therapy above 24 hours showed higher frequency of blood gas analysis than that of not applied ventilator patients. Pulse oxymetry was applied to all patients and the frequency of blood gas analysis was decreased due to the use of strict pulse oxymetry. Conclusion : Doctors and nurses in intensive care unit keep in mind that adequate blood sampling is needed for the decrease of blood loss. Education and protocol for the decrease of blood loss after arterial blood gas analysis may be necessary.
超急冷 Co_75B_25 合金의 熱的 安定性에 관한 硏究

The effects of melt-temperatures on the thermal stability of the rapidly quenched Co_75B_25 alloy prepared by single roller quenching method were investigated by DTA, electrical resistance measurements and X-ray diffraction. The melts of Co_75 B_25 alloy were quenched from 1,300℃, 1,350℃, 1,400℃ and 1,500℃, respectively. The preexisting crystallites were increased when the melt-temperature increased. This can be explained by the decreased supercooling. The crystallization temperatures of the first step reaction were increased to the melt-temperature and the expected reaction of the first step is a peritectic type reaction having the equation "amorphous+Co_2B→Co_3B." The resulting crystallized phases of the rapidly quenched Co-B alloys under dynamic heating from room temperature to 900℃ at constant heating rate 10℃/min consist of Co_2B(bct, a=5.02A, c=4.23A), Co_3B(ortho, a=4.41A, b=5.24A, c=6.64A) and fcc-Co(a=3.54A).
