      • Source Code Verification on Embedded Control Devices

        A control system device is a hardware system with special processor and interface modules that have their own function and software under an operating system. In developing a new device, a designer searches for a new interface modules-supported driver algorithm for reducing developing time. In this case, the program code interfaced with this module used to be the same one as other products. It would then be difficult to verify which code is the original source program in keeping the copyright. Regarding property right verification, it is difficult to compare this with each program code to find a difference. In the case of an open source code, a developer program could be the same to most code lines, which is released by an interface module vendor. In this paper, we show a way to keep the property rights of the owner as for the module interface and communication interface, while the peripheral interface is under an open source operating system.

        Added Value of the Sliding Sign on Right Down Decubitus CT for Determining Adjacent Organ Invasion in Patients with Advanced Gastric Cancer

        Purpose To investigate the added value of right down decubitus (RDD) CT when determining adjacent organ invasion in cases of advanced gastric cancer (AGC). Materials and Methods A total of 728 patients with pathologically confirmed T4a (pT4a), surgically confirmed T4b (sT4b), or pathologically confirmed T4b (pT4b) AGCs who underwent dedicated stomach- protocol CT, including imaging of the left posterior oblique (LPO) and RDD positions, were included in this study. Two radiologists scored the T stage of AGCs using a 5-point scale on LPO CT with and without RDD CT at 2-week intervals and recorded the presence of “sliding sign” in the tumors and adjacent organs and compared its incidence of appearance. Results A total of 564 patients (77.4%) were diagnosed with pT4a, whereas 65 (8.9%) and 99 (13.6%) patients were diagnosed with pT4b and sT4b, respectively. When RDD CT was performed additionally, both reviewers deemed that the area under the curve (AUC) for differentiating T4b from T4a increased (p < 0.001). According to both reviewers, the AUC for differentiating T4b with pancreatic invasion from T4a increased in the subgroup analysis (p < 0.050). Interobserver agreement improved from fair to moderate (weighted kappa value, 0.296–0.444). Conclusion RDD CT provides additional value compared to LPO CT images alone for determining adjacent organ invasion in patients with AGC due to their increased AUC values and improved interobserver agreement.

        Objective Material analysis to the device with IoT Framework System

        Software copyright are written in text form of documents and stored as files, so it is easy to expose on an illegal copyright. The IOT framework configuration and service environment are also evaluated in software structure and revealed to replication environments. Illegal copyright can be easily created by intelligently modifying the program code in the framework system. This paper deals with similarity comparison to determine the suspicion of illegal copying. In general, original source code should be provided for similarity comparison on both. However, recently, the suspected developer have refused to provide the source code, and comparative evaluation are performed only with executable code. This study dealt with how to analyze the similarity with the execution code and the circuit configuration and interface state of the system without the original source code. In this paper, we propose a method of analyzing the data of the object without source code and verifying the similarity comparison result through evaluation examples.

        Liquation Behavior in the Weld HAZ of High Si Nodular Iron

        In the present study, liquation behavior including the constitutional liquation phenomena in the weld heat-affected zone (HAZ) of nodular cast iron with 4% Si was investigated. The thermal cycle of the weld HAZ was simulated using a Gleeble simulator at various peak temperatures and a fast heating rate of 1000 °C/sec was selected to observe the constitutional liquation phenomenon. Differential thermal analysis has shown that the eutectic constituents of γ + Laves and γ + Fe3C begin to melt at 1120 °C and 1140 °C,respectively. Meanwhile, constitutional liquation by γ/graphite reaction occurred above 1140 °C, due to car-bon enrichment around the graphite nodules.

        Dry etching of ferroelectric Bi$_{4-x}$Eu$_x$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$(BET) thin films

        Bi4Bi4xEuxTi3O12 (BET) thin lms were etched by using a inductively coupled Cl2/Ar plasma. We obtained a maximum etch rate of 69 nm/min at a gas mixing ratio of Cl2 (20 %)/Ar (80 %). This result suggests that an eective method for BET etching is chemically assisted physical etching. With increasing coil RF power, the plasma density increases so that the increased reactive free radicals and ions enhance the etch rates of BET, Pt, and SiO2. As the dc-bias voltage is increased, the increased ion energy leads to an increased etch rate of BET lms. From X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the intensities of the Bi-O, the Eu-O, and the Ti-O peaks change with increasing Cl2 concentration. For a pure Ar plasma, the peak associated with the oxygen-metal (O-M: TiO2, Bi2O3, Eu2O3) bond seems to disappear while the pure oxygen peak does not appear. After the BET thin lms is etched by using a Cl2/Ar plasma, the peak associated with the O-M bond increases slowly, but more quickly than the peak associated with pure oxygen atoms, due to a decrease in the Ar-ion bombardment. These results seem to indicate that Bi and Eu react little with Cl atoms and are removed predominantly by argon-ion bombardment.         Englishization in Advertising in Korea

        The focus of this paper is on the types of "mixing" in the genre of advertising in Korea. This paper also discusses the form and functions of both Hancha and English in Korean advertising, and their morpho-syntactic features. The diachronic analysis of the advertising in Korea shows that English has been used in Korean advertising since the 1960s, and that certain functions of English in 1990's advertising were previously assigned to Hancha words in the 1960s and 1970s. This study also shows the importance of script in the analysis of advertising in Korea.

      • FEASBILITY ANALYSIS OF FRANCHISING SYSTEMS IN PAINT DISTRIBUTION

        Because domestic paint is distributed through an obsolescent and inefficiently operated distribution channel, consumers have declining awareness regarding the overall paint industry. Also, increasing environmental regulation and the lack of consumer knowledge are negatively affecting the industry, fundamentally because regular individual operators rather than manufacturers are responsible for paint distribution. To counter these problems and to provide better customer service, I suggest that paint distribution companies should consider using franchise systems to expand and modernize the distribution industry. In franchise systems, franchisees contract with the franchise headquarters for the rights to sell or distribute products or services. Franchise systems offer the advantages of specialization. Although headquarters and franchisees operate independently, franchise systems cause consumers to perceive the product or service as having one image. Under franchised paint distribution systems, expert franchise groups would determine price, delivery time, and stock quality, while non-expert groups could focus on store comforts, employee expertise regarding products, and brand perceptions. I undertake this study to determine whether stores under paint distribution franchise systems will see enhanced customer satisfaction and increased sales in comparison with non-franchised stores. I expect to find that franchise systems will bring standardization, make store management more efficient, and improve the performance of franchise stores. Specifically, 1) franchisors and franchisees are indeed autonomous, with independent profits and business focus; 2) although managers operate independently, consumers perceive homogeneity in the system, for positive effects on their buying behaviors; 3) by expanding regional sales, franchisors decrease regional uncertainties about product characteristics; 4) small business owners may face burdens in becoming franchisees, but they will have reduced business risks as a result of the support they get regarding training in brand, information, and technology.
