Nemophora chrysoprasias (Meyrick, 1907), previously known only by the type series from Assam, India, was discovered in the Yunnan Province of China. This study is the first to illustrate the male and female genitalia of N. chrysoprasias. Despite their differing appearances, this species is determined to be related to N. rubrofascia Christoph, 1882 based on their morphological characters and DNA barcode sequences.

Agrioglypta fulguralis Rosfiansyah, Yagi & Hirowatari sp. nov. (Crambidae) is described from the Ryukyus,Japan, based on morphological characteristics and DNA barcoding. Although this new species is similar toA. itysalis, it can be distinguished by the following characters: its smaller size, a lightning marking on thediscoidal part of the hindwing, lack of a pair of scale tufts on male seventh abdominal segment, shorteruncus, wider tegumen, wider valva in the male genitalia, and fewer spines in the signum in the femalegenitalia. DNA barcoding also supports the distinction of this new species from A. itysalis found in China,Java, Papua New Guinea, and Australia. Images of the adults and male and female genitalia are providedherein.
A Study on Darrieus-type Hydroturbine toward Utilization of Extra-Low Head Natural Flow Streams
Tanaka, Kei,Hirowatari, Kotaro,Shimokawa, Kai,Watanabe, Satoshi,Matsushita, Daisuke,Furukawa, Akinori Korean Society for Fluid machinery 2013 International journal of fluid machinery and syste Vol.6 No.3
A two-dimensional Darrieus-type hydroturbine system, installed with a wear for flow streams such as small rivers and waterways, has been developed for hydropower utilization of extra-low head less than 2m. There are several problems such as flow rate change and flowing wastes to be solved for its practical use in natural flow streams. In the present study, at first, a design guideline in the case of overflow or bypass flow is shown by using simple flow model. Next, in order to avoid the unexpected obstacles flowing into the hydroturbine, an installation of waste screening system is examined. It is confirmed that the screen is effective with some amount of bypass flow rate, however the output power is remarkably deteriorated.

A new heliozelid moth, Antispila folimansiella Kim & Yagi sp. nov., is described in Japan. This species ischaracterized by feeding on Hydrangea petiolaris (Hydrangeaceae) and not making a case before pupa tion, which is an unusual habit in the “Shield Bearer Moths” (Heliozelidae). We compared the newspecies with other Hydrangea-feeding species by the shape of the genitalia, wing venation, and DNA(cytochrome c oxidase I barcode region). We also provide a redescription of A. hydrangifoliella withintraspecific variation of the wing venation and female genitalia.

The family Palaeosetidae is newly recorded from mainland China. A new species of the genus Ogygioses, O. maoershana sp. nov., is described from Guangxi Province, China. The adults, male and female genitalia, venation, head and legs structures are illustrated. Some ecological information and a key to all species of the genus are also provided. The phylogenetic position of the new species in the genus Ogygioses is inferred as in termediate between primitive O. luangensis Kristensen and other four derived species based on morphological characters and DNA barcodes sequences.
A Case of Suspicious Allergic Reaction to Peracetic Acid Following Endoscopy
Naohiko Harada,Manami Hirowatari,Eikichi Ihara,Etsuko Ishihara,Mitsuko Inoue,Tomoya Miyamura,Makoto Nakamuta 대한소화기내시경학회 2020 Clinical Endoscopy Vol.53 No.6
A 43-year-old man with rheumatic arthritis was admitted to our hospital for symptoms of cough, left chest pain, and leftelbow pain, and further examination revealed an elevated level of C-reactive protein. On day 2 after admission, he underwentesophagogastroduodenoscopy. On the morning of day 7, he developed a high fever of 39.7°C, several hours after bronchoscopy. Onday 13, he underwent colonoscopy. Five minutes after the colonoscopy, he developed a high fever of 39.9°C, accompanied by stridor, indicating a decrease in arterial oxygen saturation level. An intradermal test for peracetic acid which was used for cleaning flexibleendoscopy was positive. We suspect that he suffered from an allergic reaction to peracetic acid following the flexible endoscopy. This is the first case reported on suspicious allergic reaction to peracetic acid following a flexible endoscopy procedure.

In this study, we corrected the misidentified insect pests on yam (Discorea polystachya), based onmorphological characters and molecular analysis, and also firstly recorded the species in Korea. Thespecies is a yam borer, Digitivalva hemiglypha Diakonoff & Arita. To accurate pest identification in futureutility, genetic divergence within the genus Digitivalva including 43 individuals was calculated by addingsamples from Korea and Japan. The intraspecific and interspecific genetic divergences in cytochromeoxidase subunit I, when calculated separately from D. hemiglypha I and D. hemiglypha II, had each constantaverage values along with other congeneric species: average 0.1% of intraspecific genetic divergence withranges 0.0e0.7%; average 10.1% of interspecific genetic divergence with ranges 4.0e12.9%. Additionally,Automatic Barcode Gap Discovery results also recognized that two clades of D. hemiglypha were differentmolecular operational taxonomic units in the substitution models. Consequently, our results indicate thatD. hemiglypha I is a correct D. hemiglypha in the cytochrome oxidase subunit I and it also supported bymorphological comparison with the holotype of that. All sequences of D. hemiglypha I were nested in thesame haplotype, with indicating the rapid dispersal. In further study, D. hemiglypha II will be re-checked asa distinct species of Digitivalva or other genus after examination of their specimens.
