      • Star Test Pattern을 이용한 X-선관 등가초점의 측정

        In this study, equivalent focal spot sizes of X-ray tube were measured by star test pattern. As a result, the focal size was proportional to tube current and inversely proportional to tube voltage. Although tube current was increased the focal size was almost constant, when tube voltage is large than 80kVp. And, focal size was more increased at high tube current or low tube voltage. Resolution was more excellent if focal size was small. We confirmed what the radiation energy was distributed as edge band distribution in focus, because the intensity of energy at side was larger than in center.

        방사형기저함수망을 이용한 열간 사상압연의 압연하중 예측에 관한 연구

        A major concern at present is the simultaneous control of transverse thickness profile and flatness in the finishing stages of hot rolling process. The mathematical modeling of hot rolling process has long been recognized to be a desirable approach to investigate rolling operating practice and the design of mill equipment to improve productivity and quality. However, many factors make the mathematical analysis of the rolling process very complex and time-consuming. In order to overcome these problems and to obtain an accurate rolling force, the predicted model of rolling force using neural networks has widely been employed. In this paper, Radial Basis Function Network(RBFN) is applied to improve the accuracy of rolling force prediction in hot rolling mill. In order to verify and analyze the performance of applied neural network, the comparison with the measured rolling force and the predicted results using two different neural networks-RBFN, MLP, has respectively been carried out. The results obtained using RBFN neural network are much more accurate those obtained the MLP.

        연속냉간압연의 두께제어 모델 개발에 관한 연구

        The quality requirements for thickness accuracy in cold rolling continue to become more stringent, particularly in response to exacting design specification from automotive customers. One of the major impacts from the tighter tolerance level is more unusable product on the head end and tail end of tandem mill coils when the mill is in transition to or from steady state rolling condition. A strip thickness control system for a tandem cold steel rolling mills is composed with blocked non-interacting controller and controllers for strip thickness and tension control of each rolling stands. An intelligent mathematical model included an elastic deformation of strip has been developed and applied to the field in order to predict the rolling force. The simulated results showed that the effect of elastic recovery should be included the model, even if the effect of elastic compression was not important.

      • 대퇴골 전자간 골절을 동반한 고령의 환자에서 시행한 슬관절 전치환술

        Purpose: To analyze the clinical results of total knee arthroplasty In elderly patients who had arthritic knees and intertrochanteric fractures. Materials and Methods: From fan 1992 to March 1999, 27 cases of the patients with arthritic knees and associated intertrochanteric fractures were treated by total knee arthroplasties and we evaluated the patients by Knee Score of American Knee Society. Results: Flexion contracture was improved from 10.3 degree to 5.2 degree, KSS score was improved from 57.4 points to 78.6 points, authors' evaluation system score was improved from 50.3 points to 73.2 points. Conclusion: In elderly patients with arthritic knees and associated intertrochanteric fractures, total knee arthroplasty seemed to decrease the rehabilitation time and allow earl weight bearing, so provide an improvement in quality of life.

        The aim of this study is to find out appropriate solutions to various problems created by wrong applied assumption of population. And these solutions are to be applied to establishment of urban planning. Besides assuming the population of urban planning is the most important yardstick of deciding the size of future urban and physical environment. Therefore to develop the plan more efficiently, I suggest these as followings. First of all, the mathematical methods which is proper to the characteristics of urban must be applied and produced through the outlook based on analysis of natural population, such as birth, death, transference in the past. Secondly, the moving in population of society must be limited on the target year. Thirdly, the population division plan by regional groups must be proceeded. The last but not least, the examination and evaluation on population plan must be performed.

      • 화학적 폐 손상시 상피세포 장벽의 특성

        폐 상피세포 장벽은 다른 tight한 생체세포의 장벽에서와 마찬가지로 높은 조직저항을 보이며, 따라서 용매와 용질의 이동을 극히 제한한다. 이러한 수동적인 장벽의 특성은 폐의 여러조건에 의하여 심하게 변할 수 있으며 요즈음 폐 상피세포 손상의 장애시 그 기전이 활발하게 연구되고 있다. 정상적인 tight 한 폐 상피세포 장벽은 간질액과 혈관내로 부터 용질이 빠져 나오는 것을 막음으로써 폐의 일차적인 기본 기능인 기체교환을 하는데 있어 정상적으로 폐표면을 항상 건조하게 유지시킬 수 있는 것이다. 그러나 현재까지의 결과는 거의 모두가 작은실험 동물들의 전체 폐를 이용한 것으로 그 기전을 알기가 어렵고, 인체의 폐 상피세포에서의 물질이동에 대한 특성은 거의 알려진 바가 없다. 화학물질에 의한 인체 폐 부종의 기전을 알기 위하여 여러 실험 모델에서 얻은 결과를 통하여 추후 진단 및 그 자료 방침을 정할 수 있게 될 것으로 생각된다. The alveolar epithelial barrier permits only restricted passage of solutes examplified by a high resistance and equivalent pore properties similar to those of other tight biological barriers. These passive barrier properties may be markedly altered after insults to the lung, perhaps providing insights into the mechanisms of alveolar epithelial injury. The normally tight alveolar epithelium serves as an effective barrier against the leak of solutes from interstitial and vascular spaces into alveolar spaces, thereby helping to maintain the normal "dry" environment required for efficient gas exchange. Until recently, the majority of investigations of alveolar fluid balance relied on intact lung models. The information obtained from these intact mammalian lung studies in vivo and in vitro, if useful, can be difficult to interpret mechanistically, largely because of the anatomical complexity of the lung. For more precise information about alveolar epithelial properties, studies of isolated preparations have been done, providing useful additional approaches to underlying transport mechanisms and pathways in the alveolar-capillary wall. In this review article, I introduced the methods being used for study of barrier function in addition to intact lung investigation. And I discussed the barrier properties of the alveolar epithelium relevant to alveolar fluid balance in chemically injured lung, citing the pertinent supporting experimental data where appropriate.
