授乳期間中 家兎 乳腺組織內 大식細胞의 動態에 關한 形態學的 觀察

本 硏究는 E. coli를 注入한 家兎의 乳腺組織內에서 大? 細胞의 動態를 觀察하기 위하여 實施하였다. 乳腺組織의 病理學的 所見은 E. coli를 注入한 후 經時的으로 觀察하였으며, 大 細胞의 動態는 E. coli를 注入하여 炎症이 惹起된 乳腺內에 Trypan blue와 indian ink를 注入한 후 觀察하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같았다. E. coli의 浮游液을 注入한 群에서는 共히 肉眼的으로 乳腺의 腫?, 充血 및 出血, 또한 限局性 壞死?와 結이 있었다. 組織學的으로는 初期에 腺胞와 乳管內에 多數의 好中球의 出現과 上皮細胞의 變成, 壞死 및 脫落], 間質內에 好中球의 浸潤, 出血 및 水腫이 觀察되었다. 時間이 經過함에 따라 ??芽細胞의 增殖과, 淋巴球, 好?球 및 大 細胞의 出現이 있었으며, 동시에 이들 細胞成分으로 構成된 限局性 壞死?가 觀察되었다. 肉芽腫性 變化가 7일째부터 認定되었다. 健康한 家兎의 授乳末技 乳腺組織의 綜合組織內에서는 授乳初期의 乳腺組織에 比하여 Trypan blue와 indian ink 粒子를 ?食한 大 細胞가 多數 觀察되었다. 그리고 炎症初期의 炎症? 周圍에서는 大 細胞를 少數를 認定할 수 있었으나 炎症이 進行됨에 따라 多數의 大 細胞가 炎症? 周圍에 出現하였다. The present study was undertaken to clarify the migration of macrophage in the mammary gland of rabbits with E. coli strains. The pathological changes were observed in mammary gland experimentally induced with E. coli strains and the migration of macrophage after injection of trypan blue or ink was examined in the mammary glands of healthy lactating rabbits and of the experimentally infected rabbits. From the results reported, the following points are ocncluded. In the bacterial suspension infused by E. coli, the affected quarters of udder showed grossly swelling, hyperemia, hemorrhage, focal necrosis ad firmnes. The microscopic findings of early stage of the mammary gland were appearance of large numbers of heterophils in the glandular lumina and ducts accompanied by degeneration, necrosis and desquamation of epithelial cells, and also infiltration of heterophils, hemorrhage and edema in the interstitial tissue, and destruction of alveoli. later, proliferation of fibroblasts, plasma cell, lymphocytes, eosinophils and macrophages appeared in the glandular tissue, and with these cells necrotic foci of glandular tissue were surrounded by highly proliferated connective tissue. in addition, glanulomatous inflammatory changes could be observed in the glandular tissue from the 7th day after infusion. Macrophages phagocytized the particles of trypan blue or indian ink were increased in number in the glandular tissue of early lactating period as compared with the later lactating period in the normal rabbits. also numerous macrophages appeared around the inflammatory foci in the course of advance of inflammation induced by bacterial suspension.

명태의 행동제어용 심전도 도출에 관한 연구

In the walleye pollock. Theragra chalcogramma. which has a heart with a strong electromotive force, the ECGs were found to be recordable by electrodes placed in the water from fish's body. The day on the experiment, fish was operated on in order to install a leading-out bipolar electrode. This electrode was used for recording of the cardiosignal of the fish on a digital storage oscilloscope. The electrode was made from a fish book which was re-shaped according to the shaped of fish heart and body surface. This hook was then connected to the lead-code insulated with paint, and the connecting part was covered with paint. The pointed end was stripped off slightly for conduction of electricity and the another pointed edge was used for hooking the electrode into the chest cavity. QRS complex of the ECG was marked. The amplitude of QRS complex was about 0.1-lmV. This method enabled us to observe the heart beat rate of the walleye pollock under least disturbed state. Ordinary heart beat rate was not quite regular. Very slight stimulation was enough to bring about cardiac inhibition. which was also accompanied by a considerable reduction in the amplitude of the QRS. After rough treatment. such as sound stimulus or electric shock. the heart beat rate showed remarkable decrease. reaching a value a few times lower than the normal level.

Although the importance of good conservation of historic sites including ancient royal tombs is well aware, still not much attention has been paid for the facilities and systems to preserve those historic sites, which includes precious artifacts as wall paints and carved works, etc. Even the general understanding about the environment of the underground space of tombs is not satisfactory. In Korea, researchers have recently begun addressing the above issue and are making efforts to develop suitable HVAC(heating, ventilating and air-conditioning) systems for conservation of tombs. An experimental investigation was carried out to study the behavior of the HVAC system installed for a tomb. This tomb resembles in size and shape the original stone built tomb of Baek-je Dynasty, which dates back to 6th Century in southwest part of Korean peninsula. In this study, an HVAC system for a tomb(D×W×H=1.3m×3.0m×1.2m) was installed to maintain sui표 indoor conditions for conservation of tomb. The temperature and humidity inside the tomb were measured different of the setting. Finally, performance of the HVAC system is presented and discussed.

The authors carried out a model experiment of continuoius hairtail hand line on the rooftop in order to obtain the fundamental data on elimination of labor with haritail hand line in the coast of Jeju. The results are as follow ; 1.The continuous main line was rotated smoothly by driving roller. 2.The branch lines and hooks on a main line which was rotated by rotary machine were entangled slightly. 3. The branch lines attached to rubbered model of hairtails to hooks were rotated continuously by the rotary machine.

左金丸이 腸運動 및 胃液分泌에 미치는 影響

Effects of Joakeumwhan(左金丸) extract on the gastrointestinal tract were investigated in rabbits and rats. Treatment of Joakeumwhan extract caused an increase of contractile response of the isolated rabbit ileum. Generally the magnitude of increase was related to the dose of Joakeumwhan extract. The contracting effect of Joakeumwhan extract was not changed by pretreatment of Atropine. The contracting effect of Joakeumwhan extract was inhibited by pretreatment of Pheniramin maleate. The contracting effect of Joakeumwhan extract was inhibited by pretreatment of Cyproheptadine. The contractile response of the isolated lieum was reduced by retreatment of Joakeumwhan extract. The gastric secretion of rat was increased by treatment of Joakeumwhan extract. The gastric acidity of rat was not changed by treatment of Joakeumwhan extract.

한국인의 항파상풍 항체 역가

Inspite of immunization, TETANUS remains a disease with a high morbidity and mortality rate. Tetanus has been still occurred more frequently in developing countries where immunization programs are inadequate. In Korea, there is a routine immunuzation schedule with diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus(DPT) vaccines at 2,4,6 month after birth at 18 month. But further prophylactic programs are not exist. Moreover, we have usually used only passive immunization, tetanus antitoxin, as a prophylactic regimen for injured patients instead of guidelines of Center for Disease Control. The purpose of this study was to assess the baseline tetanus immunity state and to suggest the proper immunization schedule and adequate prophylactic guideline for injured patients in Korea. One hundred thirty one trauma patients from emergency department of Severance hospital from September to November of 1993 were included. Antietanus antibody titers of the patients were analyzed by ELISA assay. The mean antitetanus antibody titer was 0.728 ±0.236IU/mL. The titers were diminished rapidly with age. In pediatric group(age under 15), the mean titer was 3.251 ±0.426 IU/mL and in geriatric group(age over 64), the mean titer was 0.007 ±0.002 IU/mL which was below the minimal protective antibody titer(0.01 IU/mL). While all of the pediatric patients have protective antibody titer, only 69.2% of young adults(15-39, n=65), 56.7% of adults(40-64, n=30), and 57.2% of geriatrics(>65, n=14) have protective antibody titer. Our results suggest that tetanus prophylaxis is unnecessary in the age under 14. In other age groups, however, our data strongly support the need of prophyulaxis.

답손(Dapsone)중독환자의 예후와 특성 분석

We reviewed 26 dapsone intoxication patients who had visited Severance Hospital Emergency Care Center from January 1991 to January 1995 : 13 of them ingested intentionally, but the other ingested accidentally. Among the admitted patients the highest and lowtheest initial value of methemoglobin level is 59.6% & 10.1%. The frequency of symptoms at presentation was following 16 patients complained cyanosis of lip area, 10 patients complained dyspnea, 4 patients complained mental change, 4 patients complained vomiting, 2 patients complained nausea. The inital level of methemoglobin was less than 50% except in one patient. In the view points of total doses of methylene blue used, less than 100mg was used in 9 patients(34.6%) but in one case, amount of 6400mg was loaded. There were 5 patients(19.2%) in September & 4 patients (15.4%) in January. In respect of result, there were 13 discharged cases (50%) for symptom improvement, and 5 mortality cases(19.2%). The transferred cases from Gangwondo account 19 patients(73.1%). All of them is not directly emergency care center visiting patients but transferred patients from remotely located hospitals. Dapsone intoxication results in severe tissue hypoxic symptoms from malfunction of normal hemoglobin thus only with appropriate available doses of methylene blue & activated charcoal, good outcomes will be expected. If aggressive therapy such as hemodialysis is introduced in treatment of severe dapsone intoxication, the outcomes may be slightly improved better than in other supportive care cases.

廢紙 資源을 이용한 酵素的 糖化에 관한 硏究

Cellulosic biomass is potentially a major source of raw material for chemicals, food, and fuel in the future. There is a variety of waste cellulosic materials to be expected for many useful products. In Korea, approximately 4.03 million tons of paper and paper products are produced annually, and about 39% of those are finally discarded and incinerated. The aim of this study is to investigate the susceptibility of various waste paper resources to enzymatic saccharification with cellulase. Various grades papers, such as writing papers, paper boards and tissues, are tested. Their hydrolysis rates are ranged from 13.6% to 77.9%. Papers essentially consisting of high grade chemical pulps show the excellant hydrolysis rates due to their lower lignin contents. Newsprint shows very low saccharification rate because of its high groundwood including much lignin. Also activity of cellulase enzyme greatly affected to the saccharification. Concerning recycling and reutilization of cellulase enzyme, an improved almost quantitative recycle process of cellulase was discussed.

배가스 폐열회수를 위한 히트파이프 적용성 검토

A Series of experiments are performed to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of sintered metal wick heat pipe especially focusing on the operational limit of maximum allowable thermal loads and the effect of inclination slope. Tested heat pipes are composed of copper tube with pure water as a working fluid. The outer diameter of the heat pipe is 6mm and the total length is 300mm, which covers the evaporator section(50mm), adiabatic section(100mm) and condenser section(150mm). respectively. Experimental data of wall temperature distribution along the axial locations are obtained to evaluate the performance of the heat pipe at different slopes. Each test is performed by changing the input thermal loads ranging from 5W to 30W.
