Molecular-beam spectroscopy with an infinite interferometer: spectroscopic resolution and accuracy
Schultz Thomas,Heo In,Lee Jong Chan,Özer Begüm Rukiye 한국물리학회 2023 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.82 No.9
An interferometer with efectively infnite maximum optical path diference removes the dominant resolution limit for interferometric spectroscopy. We present mass-correlated rotational Raman spectra that represent the world’s highest resolution scanned interferometric data and discuss the current and expected future limitations in achievable spectroscopic performance.
Tendency to Stigmatize Epidemic Diseases Scale: Scale Development and Validity Study
Şen Olgay Sevim,Arslan Özkan Hediye,Zeren Erdem Ceren,Kırık Begüm 한국간호과학회 2024 Asian Nursing Research Vol.18 No.1
Purposes The purpose of this study was to develop a scale to measure stigma during epidemics among adults in nursing care and validate its psychometric properties. Methods The preliminary items of the Tendency to Stigmatize Epidemic Diseases Scale scale were developed through a literature review, the Delphi technique, and content validity analysis. A total of 723 adults living in Turkey responded to the questionnaire from June to December 2021. The collected data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis and confirmative factor analysis using SPSS and AMOS programs. Results The experts agreed on 51 scale items, and 24 items were removed following exploratory factor analysis. On the 27-item scale, a five-factor structure was found with an eigenvalue >1, explaining 59.2% of the total variance. The overall Cronbach's α value was 0.88. Conclusions This scale is a reliable and valid measurement tool for adults to determine their level of stigma during epidemics in nursing care. This scale helps develop interventions to improve the psychological health of adults in nursing care.
COINCIDENCE AND COMMON FIXED POINTS OF NONCOMPATIBLEMAPS
Beg, Ismat,Abbas, Mujahid The Korean Society for Computational and Applied M 2011 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.29 No.3
Fixed point theorems for two hybrid pairs of single valued and multivalued noncompatible maps under strict contractive condition are proved, without appeal to continuity of any map involved therein and completeness of underlying space. These results extend, unify and improve the earlier comparable known results.
Group Decision Making Using Intuitionistic Hesitant Fuzzy Sets
Beg, Ismat,Rashid, Tabasam Korean Institute of Intelligent Systems 2014 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.14 No.3
Dealing with uncertainty is always a challenging problem. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets was presented to manage situations in which experts have some membership and non-membership value to assess an alternative. Hesitant fuzzy sets was used to handle such situations in which experts hesitate between several possible membership values to assess an alternative. In this paper, the concept of intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set is introduced to provide computational basis to manage the situations in which experts assess an alternative in possible membership values and non-membership values. Distance measure is defined between any two intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy elements. Fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution is developed for intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set to solve multi-criteria decision making problem in group decision environment. An example is given to illustrate this technique.

Bounded linear operators defined from a space with vector norm into (LF)-complete vector lattice are represented by Hellinger integration.
Standardization and HPTLC Fingerprinting of a Polyherbal Unani Formulation
Beg, Mirza Belal,Viquar, Uzma,Naikodi, Mohammad Abdul Rasheed,Suhail, Habiba,Kazmi, Munawwar Husain Cellmed Orthocellular Medicine and Pharmaceutical 2021 셀메드 (CellMed) Vol.11 No.1
Background: The Unani system of medicine has been practised since centuries for the treatment of a range of diseases. In spite of their efficacy they have been widely criticised due to the lack of standardization and poor quality control. Standardization of Unani medicine is a valuable issue at the present because they are very prone to contamination, deterioration, adulteration and variation in composition due to biodiversity as well as careless collection. Objective: To Standardize and Development of HPTLC Fingerprinting of a polyherbal Unani formulation Qurs-e-Safa. Materials and methods: The conventional and modern analytical techniques were used to standardise Qurs-e-Safa. The study was carried into three different batches of Qurs-e-Safa prepared with its ingredients. The parameters studied are organoleptic, microscopic, physicochemical parameters, phytochemical screening, TLC, HPTLC profile, aflatoxin, microbial load and heavy metal analysis. Results and conclusion: Qurṣ-e-Sa'fa is dark yellow in colour and aromatic smell. Uniformity of diameter and weight variation were found to be 13 ± 0, and 524.7 ± 1.72 mg. friability, hardness and disintegration time of all 3 batches were found to be (0.0615 ± 0.004, 0.0885 ± 0.0047 and 0.0725 ± 0.0058), (3.5 ± 0.2886, 3.67 ± 0.1674 and 3.67 ± 0.1674) and (16 to 17 minutes). Extractive value were found to be maximum in distilled water (38.488 ± 0.20, 37.3824 ± 0.38 and 39.8177 ± 0.13) followed by alcohol (27.5406 ± 0.54, 27.5656 ± 0.32 and 26.9229 ± 0.25). Loss of weight on drying, pH, total ash, acid insoluble ash, qualitative test was set in. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of Carbohydrates, Phenols, Resins, Proteins, Steroids, fixed oil and Flavonoids. The microbial load was found absent and heavy metals were within permissible limits. The data evolved from the study may serve as a reference to validate and also help in the quality control of other finished products in future research.
RANDOM FIXED POINT THEOREMS FOR CARISTI TYPE RANDOM OPERATORS
Beg, Ismat,Abbas, Mujahid 한국전산응용수학회 2007 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.25 No.1
We iteratively generate a sequence of measurable mappings and study necessary conditions for its convergence to a random fixed point of random nonexpansive operator. A random fixed point theorem for random nonexpansive operator, relaxing the convexity condition on the underlying space, is also proved. As an application, we obtained random fixed point theorems for Caristi type random operators.

We previously reported that one of the brassinosteroid-insensitive mutants, bri1-9, showed increased cold toler-ance compared with both wild type and BRI1-overex-pressing transgenic plants, despite its severe growth retardation. This increased tolerance in bri1-9 resulted from the constitutively high expression of stress-inducible genes under normal conditions. In this report, we focused on the genes encoding class III plant peroxi-dases (AtPrxs) because we found that, compared with wild type, bri1-9 plants contain higher levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) that are not involved with the activation of NADPH oxidase and show an increased level of expression of a subset of genes encoding class III plant peroxidases. Treatment with a peroxidase inhibitor, salicylhydroxamic acid (SHAM), led to the reduction of cold resistance in bri1-9. Among 73 genes that encode AtPrxs in Arabidopsis, we selected four (AtPrx1, AtPrx22, AtPrx39, and AtPrx69) for further functional analyses in response to cold temperatures. T-DNA insertional knockout mutants showed increased sensitivity to cold stress as measured by leaf damage and ion leakage. In contrast, the overexpression of AtPrx22, AtPrx39, and AtPrx69 increased cold tolerance in the BRI1-GFP plants. Taken together, these results indi-cate that the appropriate expression of a particular subset of AtPrx genes and the resulting higher levels of ROS production are required for the cold tolerance.
