Modern people stay at indoor places about 90% of a day. Dust is the one of major indoor air pollutants. Optimal dust filtering method should be supplied for the HVAC system of railway vehicle running at desert area so as to protect the dust ingress into the passenger area. In this study, we analyzed the dust particle size to design the optimal filtering device for the ambient air condition of desert in Saudi arabia.
명치초기(明治初期) 가등홍지(加藤弘之)의 활동(活動)과 사상(思想) : 명육사(明六社)시기를 중심으로

Modem Japanese “Civilization and Enlightenment(文明開化)” progressed with the full introduction of European Enlightenment and their liberal thoughts. Japanese Enlightenment writers, associated with society known as the Meirokusha(明六社), led to enlightenment movement and gave the Meiji govenment the way to accomplish her Meiji reform. Kato Hiroyuki(加藤弘之), a typical official scholar in Meiji period formed the nucleus of ‘Society’. Probably Kato offered the best expression of the Meiji leader`s basic philosophy. He argued that the government should exercise absolute authority, without forgetting the great principle-the government is made for people, not the people for the government. His behavior and study were the products of the time and place he lived. Facing western intrusion at the late Tokugawa period he studied military. Under the full introduction of European Enlightenment, he believed and adopted the “Rights of Man”. He subsequently adopted and turned to “Social Darwinism” in response of rising the “Popular Movement for Parliamentary Government(自由民權運動)”. Thus, the trends of his political thoughts and actions show how the Meiji Enlightenment was initially introduced, shaped, subsequently transformed.

As the train run through the tunnels, especially at high speed, pressure shock developed by the running train gives the influence on the pressure fluctuation inside the tunnel and consequently, inside the car. This pressure changes and pressure gradient is closely related with the tunnel section, train speed, air tightness of the train, length of the tunnel, etc. This study includes the analysis of the pressure behavior at the varied train speed and tunnel length. The results show that train speed affects the pressure gradient inside the car almost linearly, and that there exist the critical tunnel lengths that gives the maximum value of pressure change and pressure gradient, respectively.

공공측량에서 성과 심사는 표본조사로 이루어지기 때문에 성과심사에서 심사비율은 매우 중요한 요인이다. 현행 성과심사 심사비율은 성과심사 제도 실시 초기에 경험적으로 결정되었기 때문에 이론적인 바탕이 부족하다는 지적과 함께 최근의 심사 여건에 맞도록 심사비율을 개선해야 한다는 의견이 제기되었다. 본 논문에서는 현재 우리나라에서 이루어지고 있는 공공측량 성과심사의 현황을 개략적으로 알아보고 현행 성과 심사 심사비율을 개선하기 위한 이론적 토대로서 성과심사 심사비율과 적합확률, 심사대상 수, 합격 비율의 관계를 살펴본다. 또한 성과심사 심사비율과 심사비용과의 관계를 토의한다. The performance test in a public survey is conducted by a sample survey and the sampling rate of the performance test is a very important factor in the test process. Since the current sampling rate was decided empirically at an earlier time, it has been criticized for two points: the first is that it has a lack of a theoretical background on the decision for the sampling rate and the second is that the sampling rate should be improved in accordance with current test situations. In this paper, we review the present state of performance tests in public surveys in Korea and study the relationship between the rate of the performance test and fitness probability, number of tests, and the success rate in order to create a theoretical background to improve the test rate. In addition, we discuss relationship between the test rate and cost in the performance test.

Recently, the crossing tunnel has been constructed to maintain the operation highway as well as railroad. The advantages of adopting RPS method in crossing tunnel construction are needed a little space and easy to change the direction of cutting shoe during the construction of pipe roof. The numerical analysis of RPS was performed for the application in the crossing tunnel under railroad. The earth pressure distribution and settlement were predicted when the RPS method was applied during the excavation for crossing tunnel construction.
