슈베르트마나이트-침철석 전이 및 이와 관련된 중금속의 거동

슈베르트마나이트로부터 침철석으로의 전이 시 일어나는 광물학적 변화 및 이와 연관된 중금속의 거동을 알아보기 위하여 달성광산의 광산배수 정화시설 소택지에 침전된 침전물을 대상으로 광물학적 연구와 지구화학적 연구를 수행하였다. XRD 연구결과 초기에 광산배수로부터 침전된 슈베르트마나이트는 대부분 침철석으로 전이되어 상부 일부에서만 슈베르트마나이트가 관찰되었다. SEM으로 광물 전이에 따른 외부형태 변화를 관찰한 결과 눈에 띄는 변화가 없는 것으로 보아 광물전이는 용해-침전의 과정보다는 고체상에서의 전이가 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 슈베르트마나이트와 침철석에 흡착 또는 공침된 중금속들 중 Pb와 Cu의 경우 광산배수의 중금속 농도에 비교하여 상대적으로 높은 농도를 보였으며 나머지 중금속들은 상대적인 양에 있어서 비슷한 값을 보였다. 상부 슈베르트마나이트에서 하부의 침철석으로 전이가 일어나면서 광물 내 함유된 중금속의 함량은 일부 시료를 제외하고 전체적으로 눈에 띄는 변화를 보이지 않았으며 이는 슈베르트마나이트에서 침철석으로 전이되는 과정에서 고체 상태에서 전이가 일어나면서 추가적인 중금속의 용출이나 흡착이 없었음을 지시한다. The mineral phases precipitated in the swamp built for the treatment of the mine drainage of the Dalsung Mine were investigated to reveal the mineralogical changes from schwertmannite to goethite and related behavior of heavy metals. Our XRD results show that most schwertmannite were transformed to goethite except the small portions of the samples in the uppermost part. No significant morphological changes were observed in the samples during mineral transformation by SEM, indicating that this transformation process occurred not from dissolution-precipitation process, but in solid state. Among heavy metals sorbed or coprecipitated in the mineral phases, Pb and Cu concentrations were relatively higher compared with their concentrations in the mine drainage. The relative concentrations of other heavy metals show similar values. The heavy metal concentration in the minerals do not show noticeable differences from uppermost schwertmannite to lower goethite samples, indicating the transformation process without any leaching or additional sorption of heavy metals in the solid state.

최근 규칙적인 수면을 이루지 못해 수면장애를 호소하는 사람들이 좌시하기 어려울 정도로 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 수면장애 치료를 위한 보편적인 방법은 수면제 투여이나, 약물의 지속적인 투여로 인해 약물의 내성 및 의존성 등의 부작용이 일어날 수 있다. 따라서 근래에는 비약물적인 인지행동치료(Cognitive Behavior Therapy)를 통해 환자가 스스로 자신의 상태를 이완시킬 수 있는 훈련을 제공하고 있다. 하지만 치료를 위해서는 병원과 환자 모두 많은 시간과 비용이 든다는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 환자 혼자서도 바이오피드백 훈련이 가능하도록 하는 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템을 통해 좀 더 효율적인 수면장애 치료를 기대할 수 있다.

Two-band effect in superconducting parameters and their anisotropies of $MgB_2$ single crystals

We have studied superconducting parameters of $MgB_2$ single crystals from reversible magnetization measurements with the magnetic field both parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis of the crystals. The temperature dependence of the London penetration depth, ${\lambda}_{ab}{^{-2}}(T)$, obtained from the Hao-Clem analysis on reversible magnetization, shows a clear discrepancy from single-band theories. It is also found that the anisotropies of the London penetration depth, ${\gamma}_{\lambda}$, slowly increases with temperature while the anisotropy of the upper critical field, ${\gamma}_H$, decreases with temperature. These behaviors are in sharp contrast with the behavior of superconductors with a single band. The temperature dependence of ${\lambda}_{ab}{^{-2}}$, and the opposite temperature dependences of ${\gamma}_{\lambda}\;and\;{\gamma}_H$ can be well explained with the theory of the two-band superconductivity.

The study about metal artifact reduction by using Tin-Filter in CT scan

목적: 본 논문에서는 CT 검사 시 Tin-Filter 적용에 따라 metal artifact를 감소시킬 수 있는지에 초점을 맞추고 연구를 진행하였다. 대상 및 방법: CT장비는 SIEMENS사의 Somatom Force를 사용하였다. IM Nail을 이용하여 자체 제작한 팬텀과 AAPM 팬텀을 CTDIvol 10 mGy을 기준으로 80 kV부터 150 kV까지 10 kV단위로 스캔하여 Noise와 SNR을 구하였으며 Tin-Filter는 150 kV에 적용되었다. 정밀도를 측정하기 위한 척도로 RMSE 기법이 사용되었고, PH5 팬텀의 Liver nodule, Portal vein 두 부분을 이용하여 리커트 척도로 정성적 평가를 실시하였다. 결과 값들은 통계프로그램 SPSS를 사용하여 분산분석(ANOVA)을 진행하였다. 결과: 자체제작 팬텀 및 AAPM 팬텀을 이용한 Noise 및 SNR 평가에서 kV가 올라감에 따라 Noise가 감소하는 경향을 보였으며 특히 Tin-Filter를 적용했을 때 52.3~79.9%까지 대폭 감소하였다(P<0.01). RMSE값은 140 kV에서 최댓값인 34.27, Tin-Filter가 적용된 Tin150 kV에서 최솟값인 5.95의 값을 보였다. 리커트 척도를 이용한 정성적 평가에서도 kV 그룹 간에는 통계적으로 차이가 없어 영상의 시각적 평가에서는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다(p=0.792). 결론: Tin-Filter를 적용하여 검사를 진행하였을 때 선량의 증가 없이 영상의 전체적인 질은 유지하면서 metal artifact를 감소시킬 수 있는 것으로 사료된다. Purpose: In this study, we focused on whether we can reduce the metal artifact by using Tin-Filter in CT scan Somatom Force(SIEMENS,Germany) was used for the CT equipment. Materials & Method: Noise and SNR were obtained by scanning the self-produced phantom using IM Nail and AAPM phantom in units of 10 kV from 80 kV to 150 kV based on CTDIvol 10 (mGy). Tin-Filter was applied to 150 kV.RMSE was used to measure the precision, and qualitative assessment was performed by using the Likert scale on liver noduleand portal vein of PH5 phantom. Result values were analyzed by ANOVA Test using statistical program SPSS. Noise and SNR evaluation using self-produced phantom and AAPM phantom showed a tendency of noise reduction with increasing kV. Result: Especially, when Tin-Filter was applied, it decreased 52.3%~79.9% (P<0.01). The maximum value of RMSE was 34.27 at 140 kV, and the minimum value of RMSE was 5.95 at the Tin150 kV with the Tin-Filter. In the case of qualitative assessment, there was no statistically significant difference in image evaluation (p=0.792). Conclusion: As a result, it is considered that the metal artifact can be reduced without degrading the overall quality of the image and increasing the Dose, if the scan is performed using the Tin-filter.

Mixed-state Hall effect of $MgB_2$ thin films

We have measured the Hall resistivity (${\rho}_{xy}$) and the longitudinal resistivity (${\rho}_{xy}$) on superconducting $MgB_2$ thin films in extended fields up to 18 T. We found a universal scaling behavior between the Hall resistivity and the longitudinal resistivity, which is independent of the temperature and the magnetic field. At a wide magnetic field region from 1 to 18T, a universal power law of ${\beta}=2.0{\pm}0.1$ in a scaling relation, ${\rho}_{xy}={A{\rho}_{xx}}^{\beta}$, was observed in c-axis-oriented $MgB_2$ thin films. These results can be well interpreted by using recent models.

The purpose of this study was to compare NK cell activity in schizophrenic patients with those in normal healthy subjects. 53 schizophrenic patients and 49 healthy subjects were included in the study. Of 53 schizophrenic patients, 42 patients had been treated with antipsychotic drugs for at least 6 months before the study and 11 patients had been drug free before the study. The results of the study were as follows : 1) Schizophrenic patients showed significantly lower NK cell activity than control subjects did. There was a statistically significant difference between schizophrenic patients and control subjects in NK cell a activity(p〈0.0001). 2) There was a statistically significant difference in NK cell actively between drug treated group and drug free group(p〈0.0001). 3) There was not a statistically significant difference in NK cell actively between drug free group and normal control group(p〉0.05). 4) Sex difference of the NK cell activity was not statistically significant(p〉0.05). 5) Age difference of the NK cell activity was not statistically significant(p〉0.05). In conclusion, these findings suggest that NK cell actively is significantly associated with schizophrenia.
