        Changes of Microbial Community Associated with Construction Method and Maintenance Practise on Soil Profile in Golf Courses

        The construction procedures and artificial turf maintenance program on golf course definitely influence on the distortion of its environment. Soil microbial communities in soil profile were affected directly by those practises on turf areas. In Jeju island, the environmental impact assessment has been required to apply the first quality class granular activated carbon(GAC), which has a high absorbent character to agricultural chemicals, on the soil profiles of golf green system to reduce the pesticide leaching to ground water. This research was carried out to analyze the changes of microbial communities and chemical properties on soil profiles where GAC had been applied at the construction stage at two golf courses in Jeju. The changes of soil microbial population and chemical properties associated with construction methods of soil profile and agrochemical management program were analyzed by monthly at the surface and sub-soil profiles during April through October, 2007. The total numbers of bacteria and fungi, soil moisture content, soil physio-chemical properties were measured on greens and fairways of the both golf courses with different GAC treatment on the green and fairway soil profiles. The results showed that GAC had positive effects on the water holding capacity, pH and EC, however, it did not improved the holding capacity of available nutrients NO3 -,NH4 +, and phosphorus by its sorption phenomenon. In microbial count test, the total numbers of bacteria and fungi showed a great variation during sampling dates. That may directly relate to the agrochemical application, however, the ratio of total bacterial number versus total fungus number showed a constant value on a sub-soil of 15~30cm depth. Thus, the construction method of GAC in soil profile, and application of fertilizer and pesticide, both impacted on the changes of microbial population. It's means that the construction method of soil profile and turf management using agro-materials might greatly affect on the turfgrass culture and the environment of golf course.         A Comparative Study of Electoral Gender Quotas in Sweden, Germany, and South Korea: Focusing on the Interplay of the Main Actors in the Processes of the Implementation of Quota Policies

        This paper uses Swedish, German, and South Korean cases from the area of quota policy to examine the interactions of main actors involving quota campaigns in the three countries. The aim of this study is to establish under what circumstances the state actors best incorporate women’s policy demands and contribute to equal representation of men and women in politics. This study shows that while the three countries have introduced quotas, there are variations in the tracks to equal representation of women and men, in the actors and motivation in quota reform, and in types of quotas. It has demonstrated that the variations are largely related to each country’s political systems and to how women are integrated into society. The analysis has also emphasized that women were key actors in the success of each country’s quota reform. Both the Swedish and German cases have shown that the high proportion of women in those countries’ parliaments heavily depend on the support of women’s organizations inside political parties. In contrast to these two countries, South Korea has demonstrated a case in which a strong women’s movement outside political parties was the major force in leading the successful quota campaign. The comparative analysis of the three countries in this study contributes to illuminating the global diffusion of quotas, and dynamics of quota policy formation in countries with different political conditions.

        골프장은 인공적으로 건설되어 지고 관리되므로 당연히 환경의 변화가 생성된 곳이므로 건설방식이나 관리 방법에 따라 코스 내 토양 미생물 군집 구조의 특이성이 있을 것이다. 현재 제주도에서는 농약 용탈 저감방안으로 골프코스 그린지반구조에 농약 흡착층을 설치하고 그 재료로 흡착성능이 우수한 입상 활성탄 1등급을 사용할 것을 환경 영향평가서에 명시하고 있다. 본 실험은 활성탄이 처리된 제주도 A, B 골프장을 대상으로 토양에서의 화학적 특성변화와 미생물 군락변화를 분석하였다. 2007년 4월, 6월, 8월 10월에 걸쳐서 총 박테리아 수, 총 곰팡이 수, 수분함량 및 토양 이화학성(pH, EC, NO3-,NH4+ 및 P2O5)의 변화를 그린과 페어웨이에서 깊이별(표토:0-15cm, 심토: 15-30cm)로 조사되었다. 그 결과, 활성탄의 시용이 수분 보유 능력, 토양산도, 전기전도도에 긍정적인 영향을 보였으나, GAC의 물질의 수착 능력에 의하여 유효 양분들을 많이 보유하는 데 도움이 될 것이라 예상하였으나, 본 실험에서는 가용성 질산과 암모늄, 및 인산의 농도를 높이는 효과는 없었다. 토양 미생물 실험에 있어서는 총 박테리아 및 총 곰팡이의 시기적 변화가 다양성을 보였다. 이러한 현상은 농약의 시용에 따라 직접적인 관련이 있을 것으로 예상되었으나, 총 곰팡이/총 박테리아 비(F/B ration) 는 활성탄을 혼합한 토양 심토(15-30cm)에서 일정한 수치를 유지하였다. 따라서, GAC 토양층의 설치 방법이나 시비와 시약 등이 미생물군집의 변화에 영향을 주며 이는 농약의 시용이 잔디관리에 큰 변수로 작용한다는 것을 시사한다.         Study of Oral Microbial Prevalence and Oral Health in Adults

        Objective: This study performed a quantitative analysis using the real-time polymerase chain reaction technique to examine the oral microbial prevalence in adults and intended to examine the correlations between risk factors of periodontal disease and oral bacteria and correlation between oral test scores and oral microorganisms. Methods: We examined papillary marginal attached (PMA) index, modified patient hygiene performance (M-PHP) index, probing depth (PD), modified gingival index, and oral bacteria counts and surveyed 117, 20 years or older adult males and females who visited dental clinics in the Daejeon region to analyze the prevalence and oral health. Results: The prevalence was 100% for Fusobacterium nucleatum, meaning it was observed in all examined subject, 85.5% for Parvimonas micra, 76.1% for Prevotella intermedia, and 72.6% for Tannerella forsythia. The averages of P. gingivalis and T. forsythia increased as the examined subjects were older, and there was a statistically significant difference between T. forsythia and E. nodatum in relation to medical history, between P. intermedia and P. micra in relation to gender, and between P. intermedia and E. corrodens in relation to smoking (p<0.05). For a correlation between the oral test scores and oral microorganisms, P. gingivalis and F. nucleatum was highly correlated with PD (correlation coefficient of 0.51 and 0.41) (p<0.01) while P. gingivalis, P. micra, C. rectus, and E. nodatum were significantly correlated with M-PHP index, gingival index, PD, and PMA index (p<0.01, p<0.05). Conclusion: For oral health management of adults, the age, systemic disease, and smoking are closely related to oral bacteria, and P. gingivalis, T. forsythia, F. nucleatum, P. intermedia, P. micra, C. rectus, E. corrodens, and E. nodatum are considered to be the oral microorganisms that indicate periodontal health.

        대학 교양으로서의 인공지능 교육을 위한 대학 신입생들의 인식 및 방향성에 대한 고찰

        In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, AI competency is essential not only for computer majors but also for non-majors. Therefore, AI courses are being offered as liberal arts education for non-majors at universities. Compared to designing a curriculum for AI majors, when designing an AI curriculum for non-majors their experiences and perceptions of AI must be taken into account. The purpose of this study is to examine the direction that the design of a liberal arts AI curriculum needs to take by examining the experiences and perceptions of AI among freshmen at university. A survey was conducted on 286 freshmen enrolled in the Humanities, Social Studies, and Arts departments of P University at the beginning of the first semester of 2021. The questionnaire consisted of questions to determine the degree of experience the students had with AI, as well as questions to determine their overall perception of AI. Based on the results of the survey, the correlation between their AI experience and their perception of AI was also examined. Furthermore, we considered the direction that AI liberal arts education should take for non-majors in universities. I hope this study will help us better design an AI liberal arts curriculum. 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래로 인공지능에 대한 이해 및 자신의 분야에서의 활용 능력은 컴퓨터 전공자뿐만 아니라 비전공자에게도 필수적인 역량으로 요구되고 있다. 따라서 대학에서도 비전공자를 위한교양 교육으로서의 인공지능 교과목이 속속 개설되고 있다. 이때 비전공자를 위한 인공지능 교과목설계는 전공자를 위한 교과목 설계에 비해 학습 대상이 되는 다양한 학생들의 인공지능 학습 경험및 인식 등의 상황이 보다 잘 반영될 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 대학 신입생들의 인공지능 학습 경험과 대학 입학 당시의 인공지능에 대한 인식을 알아봄으로써 대학 교양 교육으로서의 인공지능 교육의 방향성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 P 대학교의 인문⋅사회⋅예체능계열 학과의 2021년도 신입생 286명을 대상으로 1학기 초에 설문조사를실시하였다. 설문 항목은 초⋅중⋅고 과정에서의 인공지능 학습 경험을 알아볼 수 있는 문항들과 인공지능에 대한 인식을 알아볼 수 있는 문항들로 구성하여 조사하였다. 조사한 결과를 바탕으로 인공지능학습 경험 유무에 따라 인공지능에 대한 인식의 차이가 유의미하게 나타남을 확인할 수 있었으며, 대학에서의 비전공자를 위한 인공지능 교양 교육의 방향성을 고찰해 봄으로써 인공지능 교양 교과목설계에 도움이 되고자 하였다.

        전동칫솔의 작동횟수에 따른 치면세균막 제거율에 관한 융합연구

        본 연구는 진동회전 방식의 전동칫솔의 진동, 회전에 따른 치면세균막 제거율을 실험하여 전동칫솔 선택의 폭을 넓히고자 하였다. 진동회전타입의 전동칫솔 중 진동회전수가 다른 칫솔 3가지를 선정하였다. A: Oral-B D12(7,600회 회전), B: Oral-B D16(20,000회 진동, 7,600회 회전), C: Oral-B D20(40,000회 진동, 8,800회 회전). 세가지 칫솔의 세정력을 확인하기 위해 인공치면세균막을 치아에 1회, 2회, 3회 코팅하여 각 10회씩 2초간 세정하였다. 실험 후 잔여치면세균막를 촬영하여 Image J 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다(p<0.05). 연구에 따르면, 코팅한 모든 치면의치면세균막 제거율이 C칫솔이 가장 높았다. 연구결과를 토대로 치과종사자는 구강위생환경을 평가 한 후, 구강상태에 따른 적절한 칫솔의 추천과 교육이 필요할 것으로 사료된다. The study was to expand the choice of electric toothbrush by number of operations of the plaque removal effect on the tooth surface. Three different toothbrushes were selected for oscillations and pulsations type of electric toothbrush. A is Oral-B D12 (7,600 pulsations), B is Oral-B D16 (20,000 oscillations and a 7,600 pulsations), C is Oral-B D20 (40,000 oscillations and an 8,800 pulsations). In each trial, each tooth was brushed for 2 seconds. For the 10 trials. And each tooth was coated with 1layer, 2layers and 3layers. After the experiment, the plaque removal effect was calculated and analzed using the Image J program(p<0.05). According to the study, C toothbrush had the highest rate of plaque removal effect. Based on this results of the study, dental worker will need to evaluate oral hygiene and recommend appropriate toothbrushes according to oral conditions
