Accurate reduction of the fractured bone. 2. Minimization of the soft tissue injury during operations. 3. No post-operative intermaxillary fixation was necessary. 4. Good recovery of the occlusion.

        돈분뇨의 토양처리시 이온 성분의 용탈 특성

        An agricultural land application of swine slurry is one of the best management practices in Jeju island whose ground water must be protected. So as to study the effect of appling swine slurry on ground water or aquifer, incubation-leaching technique was used by assuming the incubating period of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 days, and application rate of 3200.0㎎T-P/ℓ, 820.0㎎T-P/ℓ, and 1887.0㎎K^+/ℓ in swine slurry. The leachates were collected from the soil columns(PVC 30㎝L×5.5㎝D) packed 15㎝ in depth with Gangjeong soil series by washing with 100mL distilled water. The leached components were measured by using Ion chromatography for Cl^-, NO_3-N, F^-,Br^-, Na^+, K^+, Ca^2+, and Mg^2+, atomic absorption spectrophotometry for Fe and Mn, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry for T-N and T-P. Application of swine slurry in naked soil could influence on the ground water or aquifer by increasing nitrate-nitrogen in leachate with time, or leaching the cations present in soils in accompany with anions because of H^+ produced in nitrification. Therefore, careful consideration should be taken about what amount, when, where, and how for protecting ground water system.

      • 부산지역 국지기후의 특성분석

        This study presented the specific analysis of meteorological factors to investigate local climate change of Busan and deduced the characteristics of meteorological elements such as monthly temperature, relative humidity, wind, and precipitation by the influence of urbanization and geographical features. This study used data obtained from Busan Regional Meteorological Office and Automatic Weather System (AWS) for the recent 30 years (1971 to 2000). In analyzing meteorological elements, air temperature, precipitation and hours sunshine show a slightly increasing trend, and wind speed, relative humidity, cloud amount, and radiation show a decreasing trend. A special point is that increasing radio of maximum temperature is higher than that of minimum temperature, then the daily range of temperature is gradually increasing. In addition, the characteristics of local climate vary as each area in Busan. At Seomyeon and Dongnae area which are located at the center of Busan, heat island phenomena occurred over all seasons, especially its intensity is the strongest in August. The annual precipitation is highest at Youngdo, Daecheongdong, Ilgwang which are located at the seaside. Wind velocity is relatively strong at the southern seaside.

      • 신고리 지역 기상관측을 통한 계절별 대기안정도 특성분석

        In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of atmospheric stability to investigate local environment change at an atomic power plant in Gori region. The used data was obtained from field observation of major meteorological variables such as wind direction and speed, air temperature, relative humidity, and solar radiation using AWS (Automatic Weather System) in Gori region from February to September in 2003. As a result, when strong northerly winds (more than 4~6 m/s) and weak northwesterly winds (2~3m/s) blow, atmospheric stability was neutral and stable from winter to spring, respectively. Atmospheric stability (neutral) in summer was similar to that in two other seasons (winter and spring), but it was stable for weak southwesterly winds (2~3 m/s). Finally, atmospheric stability was neutral for strong winds (over 4~6 m/s) in fall without respect to wind direction, while that was stable for very weak winds (less than 2 m/s).

        에어노즐의 소음저감 대책에 관한 연구

        The goal of this study is to show the way to decrease the noise from air nozzles. The variables of this test are the shapes of air nozzles, air flow rate and the distance between a reflection plate and a nozzle tip. This experiment is aimed to find the most appropriate condition to minimize the noise. These are the results. If diameter ratio is more than 12:8, noise level increases by over 10 dB(A) regardless of the distance between a reflection plate and a nozzle and the existence of a reflection plate. And when L₂ of a nozzle is 5mm long, noise level rise relatively highly. So, it is strongly recommended that L₂ should be manufactured more than 10mm. The reason for a high intensity noise is that when diameter ratio is more than 12:8, the diameter of a nozzle tip(D₂) turns small drastically, which increases the air velocity. It is assumed that when the vortex is great around the spots where a nozzle hole is suddenly smaller, great turbulent flow increases much noise.

        In the event of fire in a compartment the time available for occupants to evacuate the compartment safely, the Available Safe Egress Time (ASET), depends on the time of fire detection and on the time of the onset of hazardous conditions. The purpose of this study is to provide an analytical basis and experimental data for estimating the fire growth in compartments and the available safe egress time. The paper used the purposed equations that about mass loss rates, smoke layer height, temperature rise of hot gases in a compartment, ventilation flow rate, and flame height. As a result, the more fire load were increased, the more mass loss rate, smoke layer height, smoke layer temperature rise, ventilation flow rate, and flame height were enlarged, however available safe egress time were suddenly shorted.

      • 열린 과학 교육을 위한 구체적 실행 방안

        열린 과학 교육의 필요성에 대해서는 많은 사람들이 공감하고 있다. 그러나 아직 열린 과학교육에 대한 구체적인 정의와 지도 방법이 마련되어 있지 않다(Choi,K.H., 1994). 본 연구에서는 열린 과학 교육을 위한 연수 자료를 개발하고 전국 초, 중, 고 연수 담당자 및 과학 전문직을 대상으로 열린 과학 교육 연수를 실시하였다. 연수 후 열린 과학 교육의 문제점과 지도 방법에 대한 의견을 수렴하였다. 충분한 토의와 협의를 통해 학교 현장에서 실시할 수 있는 열린 과학 교육 방안을 마련하였다. 연수에 참여한 모든 과학 교육 담당자는 열린 과학 교육에 대한 의견을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 설문 결과를 바탕으로 열린 과학 교육에 대한 바람직한 방안을 마련하였다. 현재의 학교 환경을 고려하여 4가지 형태의 열린 과학 교육 방법을 제시하였다. 열린 과학 학습 형태 1은 예측, 실험 수행, 결과 토의 등의 단계를 거치는 직소형 학습 방법이다. 열린 과학 학습 형태 2는 학습자의 특성에 따라 교사의 지도 방법이 달라지는 학습 방법이다. 열린 과학 학습 형태 3은 탐구 단계별로 학습하는 학습 방법이다. 열린 과학 학습 형태 4는 학습자 스스로 자신의 학습 수준을 파악하고 수준에 맞는 학습 방법대로 학습하는 방법이다. Many peoples recognize the need of open science education by students' cognitive level. But identification and teaching method of open science education by students' cognitive level are not prepared. We developed teachers' training program for open science education by students' cognitive level and trained science teachers' trainers and inspectors. After the training program was completed the problem and the direction of open science education by students' cognitive level were presented. By this workshop's results we suggest the desirable plan of open science education by students' cognitive level.

        악골낭종에 대한 임상적 연구

        This clinical study was made of 214 cases of the jaw cysts which were diagnosed histopathologically in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Wonkwang University Dental Hospital from Jan. 1, 1991 to Dec. 31, 1998. Medical records, radiographs, histopathological reports of 214 cases with jaw cysts were retrospectively reviewed. The results were as follows : 1.Among the total patient of 214 cases, male were 143 cases, and female are 71 cases, male predominated by the ratio of 2.04. 2.The periapical cysts and the dentigerous cyst are the most common cyst, irrespective of 116 cases(54.2%) and 58 cases(27.1%). 3.The periapical cyst has no gender prediction, male were 70 cases and female were 54 cases, the mean ages were 39.3 years(SD=18.4). The most common involving teeth were maxillary anterior teeth(59.7%) . 4.The dentigerous cyst predominantly occurred in third decade (18 cases : 31%), and the mean ages were 31.9 years(SD= 14.8). Dentigerous cysts predominantly occurred in male by the ratio of 7.29 (male : 51 cases, female : 7 cases). Maxillary anterior teeth(43.1%) and mandibular molars(32.8%) were most frequently involved. 5.The odontogenic keratocyst predominantly occurred in second and third decade and mean ages were 23.5 years(SD= 17.2). The mandibular molars(60%) were most frequently involved. 6.All nasopalatine cyst occurred after fourth decade, mean ages were 49.5years(SD= 10.4). In the gender incidence of nasopalatine cyst, 1 case occurred in female and 10 cases occurred in male. 7.In the surgical intervention of jaw cyst, cyst enucleation and marsupialization performed in 156 cases. Cyst enucleation with bone graft performed in 58 cases and iliac autogenous bone grafts most frequently performed in 29cases. 8.The diameter range of cyst enucleation with bone graft were from 15mm to 120mm with a cyst diameter of 33.3mm. (SD = 15.2). The diameter range of cyst enucleation and marsupialization were from 7mm to 82mm with a cyst diameter of 20.4mm.(SD=9.0) The diameter of cyst enucleation with bone graft were significantly greater than diameter of cyst enucleation. (p<0.05) 9.Post-operative complications occurred in 9 cases(15.5%) in which cyst enucleation with bone grafts performed and occurred in 31 cases(19.9% ) in which cyst enucleation.

      • SASW 기법에 의한 분니 발생개소의 지반특성에 관한 연구

        The railroad transportation system has more advantages over other transportation systems in terms of low cost, safety and mass transportation. The development in economy and social environments lead to the increase of the transportation between cities. As a result, the increased capacity of transportation system is required and maintenance of transportation facilities becomes more important. In the railroad system, mud-pumping is one of the troubles to cause distortion of rails and progressive disrupture of subgrade. In this study, SASW measurements were performed to investigate stiffness structures at the sites with mud-pumping and without mud-pumping. Comparison of the stiffness structures revealed the mechanism of mud-pumping and provided information to choose measures for the mud-pumping.

        방선균 분리주가 생산하는 Phospholipase C 저해물질인 MT2617-2B의 분리 및 특성

        방선균 분리주 MT2617-2의 배양액으로 부터 phospholipase C (PLC) 저해물질인 MT2617-2B를 n-butanol 추출 및 column chromatography 법을 이용하여 분리하였다. MT2617-2B는 IR ^13C- 및 ^1H-NMR 그리고 ESI-MS에 의한 구조분석 결과, 한 개의 hemiketal ring, polyhydroxyl 및polymethyl groups으로 구성되었으며 side chain으로 한 개씩의 malonate 및 guanidine group을 가지는 분자량 1057의 macrolide 화합물이었다. 따라서, MT2617-2B를 기존의 macrolide 항생제인 copiamycin 및 niphithricin A로 동정하였다. 한편, MT2617-2B는 methanol 용액에서 실온에서 방치하였을 때 도일한 분자량을 가진 두 개의 이성질체를 생성하였다. PLC γ1과 -β1에 대해 각각 25 및 50㎍/㎖의 IC_50 값을 가지며, Staphylococcus aureus 와 Candida albicans에 대해서는 항균활성을 나타내지만 Escherichia coli에는 나타내지 않았다. A phospholipase C (PLC) inhibitor (MT2617-2B) was isolated from the culture broth of actionmycetes isolate MT2617-2 by the extraction with n-butanol and column chromatographic techniques. The molecular weight of the inhibitor was 1057, by the spectroscopic analyses of IR ^13C- and ^1H-NMR and ESI-MS. The chemical structure of MT2617-2B was found to be a macrolide compound consisted of a hemiketal ring, polyhydroxyl and polymethyl groups, which had a malonate and guanidine group as its side chain. MT2617-2B produced its two isomers having the same molecular weight by standing in methanol solution at room temperature. Therefore, MT2617-2B was identified as copiamycin and niphithricin A, macrolide antibiotics. The values of IC_50 against PLC γ1 and PLC-β1 were 25 and 50㎍/㎖, respectively. MT2617-2B had antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, but not against Escherichia coli.
