비글개에서 l-muscone의 급성독성 및 아급성독성시험 연구

Single and 4 weeks oral administration of l-muscone, a major active ingredient of musk, to beagle dogs of both sexes were performed to investigate both acute and subacute toxicity. Beagle dogs(3 males and 3 females) in acute experiments were administered orally with single dosage of 2,000 ㎎/㎏ and groups of 9 male and 9 female beagle dogs in subacute experiments were given daily different dosage of l-muscone, 0.2㎎/㎏/day(low dosage group), 2 ㎎/㎏/day(middle dosage group), or 20 ㎎/㎏day(high dosage group) once a day for 4 weeks by oral route according to the Established Regulation of Korean Food and Drug Administration(1996.4.16). LD_50 value for beagle dogs was more than 2,000 ㎎/㎏ on oral route for both male and females. In animals administered with l-muscone, there were neither dead animals nor significant changes of body weights. In addition, no differences were found between control and treated groups in clinical signs, urinalysis, eye examination, hematology, serum chemistry, organ weight and other findings. No histolopathological lesions were observed in both control and treatment groups. Above data strongly suggest that l-muscone in beagle dogs is considered to be safe.
HYPER 빔창주위의 열유동 해석에 의한 안전성 평가에 관한 연구

A spent fuel problem has prevented the nuclear power from claiming to be a completely clean energy source. The nuclear transmutation technology to incinerate the long lived radioactive nuclides and produce energy during the incineration process is believed to be one or the best solutions. HYPER(Hybrid Power Extraction Reactor)is the accelerator driven transmutation system which is being developed by KAERI(Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). Some major feature of HYPER have been developed and employed. On-power fueling concepts are employed to keep system power constant with minimum variation of accelerator power. A hollow cylinder-type metal fuel is designed for the on-line refueling concept. Lead-bismuth(Pb-Bi) is adopted as a coolant and Spallation target material. One of the issues related to the HYPER target system is the thermal and mechanical loads imposed on the Pb-Bi and the beam window. FLUENT is used for thermal-hydraulic calculation, and finally stress calculation is performed by ANSYS. A beam condition such as current is varied. The initial velocity of Pb-Bi is also varied.
Differentially Expressed Genes under Cold Acclimation in Physcomitrella patens

Cold acclimation improves freezing tolerance in plants. In higher plants, many advances have been made toward identifying the signaling and regulatory pathways that direct the low-temperature stress response; however, similar insights have not yet been gained for simple nonvascular plants, such as bryophytes. To elucidate the pathways that regulate cold acclimation in bryophytes, we used two PCR-based differential screening techniques, cDNA amplified fragment length polymorphism (cDNA-AFLP) and suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH), to isolate 510 ESTs that are differentially expressed during cold acclimation in Physcomitrella patens. We used realtime RT-PCR to further analyze expression of 29 of these transcripts during cold acclimation. Our results show that cold acclimation in the bryophyte Physcomitrella patens is not only largely similar to higher plants but also displays distinct differences, suggests significant alteration during the evolution of land plants.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A new fluorine-doped porous carbon-decorated Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB> composite, referred to as Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB>, was prepared for the first time. The formation mechanism is discussed, and a new concept of introducing double layers of FeF<SUB>2</SUB> and CF<SUB>x</SUB> into the oxide-based anode is presented for lithium ion batteries. Varying the amount of fluorine precursor, derivatives of Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB> and FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB> were further obtained, allowing an original analysis of their electrochemical behaviors. As-prepared Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB> can deliver a high capacity of 718mAhg<SUP>−1</SUP> at 50mAg<SUP>−1</SUP>. Under a hash rate of 1600mAg<SUP>−1</SUP>, the capacity of Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB> (around 338mAhg<SUP>−1</SUP>) is higher than that (200mAhg<SUP>−1</SUP>) of FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB>. Further, its capacity retention of 97% over 100 cycles is much better than the 59.4% observed for Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB>. The positive effect of the CF<SUB>x</SUB> layer on the electronic conductivity and ionic diffusion ability was confirmed. The role of FeF<SUB>2</SUB> in the stabilization of the structure of CF<SUB>x</SUB> and Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> is also discussed. Further, a new battery composed of Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB>/LiNi<SUB>0.5</SUB>Mn<SUB>1.5</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> with a robust rate capability was assembled and delivered a reversible capacity of 565mAhg<SUP>−1</SUP> (<I>vs.</I> anode) at 100mAg<SUP>−1</SUP> with a high potential of 3.3V and a capacity retention of 81.5% over 50 cycles.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A new anode of fluorine-doped porous Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB> composite is readily prepared. </LI> <LI> The CF<SUB>x</SUB> layer enhances the conductivity of Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> and ensures a fast Li<SUP>+</SUP> diffusion. </LI> <LI> The FeF<SUB>2</SUB> can stabilize the structure of Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> during the (dis) charge process. </LI> <LI> The Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB> can deliver a high capacity with a robust rate capability. </LI> <LI> A full cell of Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB>/LiNi<SUB>0.5</SUB>Mn<SUB>1.5</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> with high performance is assembled. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>A new anode of fluorine doped porous Fe<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>-FeF<SUB>2</SUB>@CF<SUB>x</SUB> composite with double layers of FeF<SUB>2</SUB> and CF<SUB>x</SUB> was presented for the first time, and a high rate capability was obtained in lithium ion battery. 本文就朝鮮第22代王正祖所編撰的『八子百選』、『八家手圈』中有關遊記的選擇理由來進行探討。『八子百選』、『八家手圈』是正祖將唐宋八大家作品中選擇自己所喜愛的文章圈出來而編成的選集。我們通過타可以了解到正祖喜歡나些文章及其選擇理由。正祖所選的文章竝不是最有名的,也不符合他的政治作風。他不喜歡奢侈放蕩的行爲,但是他所選的文章中有흔多描寫這種場面的。由此可見正祖編撰這些書竝不是爲了政治利益,而是爲了尋求精神上的和平。

<P>A positive effect of the polyacrylic acid (PAA)–carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) binder to enhance the performance of an oxide-based anode was reported in batteries. Overexpression of starch branching enzyme 1 gene improves eating quality in japonica rice

Eating quality of rice attracts more and more attention from rice-eating consumers in the recent years. Thus, improvement of eating quality of cooked rice has become one of the most important breeding goals in japonica rice. Here, the generation of transgenic japonica rice with improved eating quality and grain yield are reported. Overexpression of OsSbe1 gene encoding rice starch branching enzyme 1 was driven by 35S promoter. Eleven independent homozygous T3 transgenic lines were characterized and had shown higher palatability (71.2 ~ 72.6) than wild type Gopum (70.4). Moreover, transgenic rice lines showed an increase in 1000-grain weight and number of spikelets per panicle compared with the wild type. The yield of milled rice was 562.8 ~ 596.7 kg/10a in eight T3 lines, but 542.1 kg/10a in wild type. Gene expression analyses in mRNA transcription and enzyme activity levels suggest that improved eating quality is due to the up-regulation of OsSbe1 gene.
