        In this work ? single crystals were grown by the chemical transporting reaction(CTR) method using high purity(6N) elements. The structure of grown ZnAl2S4 single crystals were cubic structure. The optical energy band gap was indirect band gap and the temperature dependence of optical energy gap was fitted well to Varshni equation. Also, the entropy, enthalpy and heat capacity were deduced from the temperature dependence of optical energy gap.

      • 전기전도도법에 의한 18-Crown-6와 알칼리 금속 이온 착화물의 안정도에 관한 연구

        The stability constants(K) for the l : 1 complexes of 18-crown-6 (18C6) with alkali metal ions in DMSO(dimethylsulfoxide), DMF(N, N-dimethylformamide) and AN(acetonitrile) were determined at 30℃ by conductometry. The stability constant sequences of the alkali metal ions complexes with 18C6 in DMSO were K^+>Rb^+>Cs^+>Na^+>Li^+ and in DMF and AN, they were K^+>Na^+>Cs^+>Rb^+>Li^+ . The K values for the fixed alkali metal ion in these polar aprotic solvents were given in the order of DMSO<DMF<AN. These results revealed that the important factors affecting on the process of the formation of the 18C6 complexes with alkali metal ions were the relative size of ionic diameter, cavity of 18-crown-6 and the donor number of polar aprotic organic solvents.

      • 단감에서 Deltamethrin의 안전사용기준 설정을 위한 잔류량 평가

        Deltamethrin의 단감 재배기간중 살포횟수 및 처리시기에 따른 잔류수준을 시험하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Deltamethrin의 잔류분석 회수율은 단감시료에 대해 0.1ppm과 1.0ppm에서 각각 평균 90.20%, 90.73%를 보였고 검출한계는 0.01ppm이었다. 2. Deltamethrin의 단감에서의 잔류는 Mills 등의 방법으로 분석한 결과 수확 3일전 6회 처리구에서만 0.16ppm으로 잔류 허용기준을 초과하였고 이로 미루어 deltamethrin의 단감중 안전사용은 수확 3일전 5회 이내의 사용으로 추천할 수 있었다. The effects of application number on the persistence of deltamethrin in sweet persimmons was analyzed. Deltamethrin EC(1%) was sprayed on the sweet persimmon trees at regular intervals (400 L/10a, 1,000 times diluted deltamethrin EC was sprayed on 60th, 45th, 30th, 15th, 7th, 3rd days before harvest). The procedure of residue analysis was based on the multiresidue analytical method using a polarized acetonitrile solution as the extracting solvent. Residue of deltamethrin were determined by alternate eluate (acetonitrile, hexane, dichloromethane 1.5 : 48.5 : 50 v/v) from the Florisil column to gas chromatographic analysis (ECD). Residue level of deltamethrin in sweet persimmons were proved to 0.16 ppm when the deltamethrin EC (1%) was sprayed 3 days before harvest. The recoveries were above 90% in spiked sweet persimmon samples, regardless of concentration.

      • CROSS 공법을 이용한 폐수의 생물학적 처리에 관한 연구

        This study aims to develop using a continuous removal of organic and settling solid(CROSS) to increase the efficiency of aeration system for wastewater treatment. To solve many problems of the conventional activated-sludge process, authors suggested a new CROSS model in conjunction with aeration systems in 1996. This system is characterized by utilizing an intensive aeration pipe with inlets at the lower portion and outlets at the higher portion in an aeration tank. Through the experiments on CROSS process, the average removal efficiences of BOD, COD_(Mn), SS, T-N and T-P were showed 98.8%, 93.9%, 98.0%, 71.3% and 49.8%. The average DO (Dissolved-Oxygen) concentration was constantly maintained at 8.0 mg/L by the intensive aeration which was accompanied by rapid reduction of BOD. Degradation of the organic matters in sewage then continued for the whole aeration period. The process demonstrated that it was very adaptive without seeding and returning the sludge. Compared to the activated sludge system, the system was very flexible for the continuous flow treatment. This preliminary assessment showed that the porous media in CROSS reactor is viable for the sewage treatment, since the porous media under the intensive aeration achieves acceptable effluent quality.

        In this paper the subroutine library of digital computer techniques to the solution of electronic networks problem are discussed. The application of digital-computer techniques to the solution of the integrations relating the terminal variables for linear time invariant inductos and capaciters are analyzed, then on the techniques of numerical integrations trapezoidal method is used. The subroutine library for differential equations and determinations which are used in electronic networks analysis have been developed. Since these programs are the general form, anybody can utilize the programs for his own purpose.

        A gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is the most common mesenchymal tumor of the gastrointestinal tract and expresses CD117, a c-kit proto-oncogene, which can be detected immunohistochemically. We reported a GIST of the rectum of a 61-year-old-woman who had visited emergency room complaining of constipation over one week. Upon rectal examination, a round hard mass was palpated. Colonoscopy showed a 7×5 cm sized protruded lesion with surface ulceration on a rectum, adjacent the anus. And abdomen computed tomography revealed the soft tissue mass compressing anterolateral wall of the rectum and these findings suggest possibility of rectal submucosal tumor such as GIST. The patient had been treated with a ultra anorectal anastomosis with loop ileostomy. Immunohistochemical studies on the surgically resected specimen showed c-kit (+) and CD34 (+). The final diagnosis was a GIST of the rectum. She was grouped into high risk and she has been given adjuvant chemotherapy with Imatinib.

      • Chitosan 濾過 System을 利用한 새로운 中水道 工程의 開發과 溫泉水 淨化에 관한 硏究

        각종 금속이나 중금속을 비롯하여 각종 오염물(SS, COD, BOD, CI 등)을 강력히 흡착제거하는 성능을 가진 chitosan(Cs)응집제와 여과사(SF) 및 활성탄 column(ACC)을 병용하여 hotel잡수와 온천사용수등의 정화실험을 행하여 생물학적 처리과정을 생략할 수 있는 사용수의 재활용 process(Fig. 1)를 개발하였다. 이 process에서 hotel 잡수의 경우 20ppm의 chitosan 투입으로 1차응집 처리하여 약 60%이상의 오염물을 제거한 후 여과사와 활성탄 column을 이용하여 최종적으로는 80~99%의 오염물을 제거할 수 있었다. 또한 온천수의 경우 20ppm의 chitosan 투입으로 1차응집 처리하여 약 50%이상의 COD와 BOD의 제거율을 달성할 수 있었다. 따라서 이러한 process를 산업현장에 적용할 경우 종전의 생물학적 공정을 생략하거나 소규모화하여 보다 간편하며 처리공간이나 경비등을 절감하면서도 사용수를 방류수 또는 재활용수 기준이내로 처리할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 수자원 보호나 수자원 재활용면에서 크게 기여 되리라 믿는다. A simplifid and economic process for recycling the used water discharged from a large scale residence(e. g. hotel and apartment etc.) was developed. The used water was purified through adsorption and flocculation of contaminants by chitosan at the first stage where the average removal rates of COD and BOD of the used water were found more than 60%. The previously treated water through flocculation by chitosan was subjected to filtration systems of a sand filter and an activated carbon column, and the average removal rates of COD and BOD were found more than 80%. The experimental results suggest that the biological process which is very popular in the treatment of the used water for the removal of COD and BOD can be omitted and expected to reduce a spacial and running expenditure. On the other hand, testing the used water discharged from hot springs with chitosan proves a possibility of development of a simple and economical process for the treatment of the used water to the criteria of recycled water quality without any addition of more complicated equipments and facilities.

        Effects of Sensorimotor Training Volume on Recovery of Knee Joint Stability in Patients following Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of sensorimotor training on knee joint stability after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Methods: The subjects were sixteen 16 adults who received anterior cruciate reconstruction by arthroscopy, and underwent sensorimotor training for which was to have them maintenanceain of a standing position with a step Balance ball on the affected side over 30 degrees knee flexion with 100% weight bearing for 15-20 seconds. Before the genuine experiment commenced, the Lysholm scale was had been used to assess functional disorders on the affected knee joint. KT-2000 Arthrometer measurement equipment was used to measure anterior displacement of tibia against to femur before and after the sensorimotor training. Results: There was significant relaxation on the affected side in tibia anterior displacement of the affected and sound sides on in supine position before the sensorimotor training. There was little significant difference in tibia anterior displacement of the affected knee joints on in the supine position before and after the sensorimotor training. The results also showed that there was a reduction in the difference of tibia anterior displacement of the affected knee joints on in the standing position. These results suggest that the effects of sensorimotor training on knee joint stability after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is to induce the change of tibia anterior displacement against femur and the variation of muscles activation. Conclusion: The sensorimotor training may contribute to the improvement of joint functional stability in people who are in post-operation state and with orthopedic musculoskelectal injuries.

      • Effects of early vital capacity maneuver on respiratory variables during multivessel off-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery

        OBJECTIVES:: Despite avoiding cardiopulmonary bypass, similar degrees of pulmonary impairment compared with on-pump coronary artery bypass surgery have been demonstrated in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery (OPCAB) compared with on-pump coronary artery bypass surgery. To investigate the effects of an early vital capacity maneuver (VCM) on intrapulmonary shunt (Qs/Qt), oxygenation, and pulmonary outcome in OPCAB. DESIGN:: Prospective, randomized, controlled, double-blind clinical trial. SETTING:: Cardiothoracic operating room and intensive care unit (ICU) of a university hospital. PATIENTS:: Fifty patients scheduled for OPCAB were randomized to treatment with VCM or none. INTERVENTIONS:: After sternotomy, VCM was performed by inflating the lungs to 40 cm H2O and holding this pressure for 10 seconds. MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS:: Qs/Qt, Pao2/Fio2 (P/F) ratio, and dynamic and static pulmonary compliances were measured before induction of anesthesia (T0), 15 minutes after tracheal intubation (T1), during Y-graft construction (T2), 15 minutes after completion of grafting (T3), 15 minutes after sternal closure (T4), and 3 hours after arrival at the ICU (T5). Qs/Qt was lower and P/F ratio was higher in the VCM group at T2 through T5. Pulmonary compliances were also higher in the VCM group at T4 and T5. Patients in the VCM group were extubated earlier. CONCLUSIONS:: The beneficial effects of an early VCM on Qs/Qt persisted into the period of ICU care, with an improvement in P/F ratio and preserved pulmonary compliances, leading to a shorter time to extubation.
