In this paper, we considers the outsourcing decision problem in a single machine scheduling problem. The decision problem is to determine for each job whether to be processed on an in-house manufacturing or external facilities(outsourcing). Moreover, this paper considers a situation where each job has a due date. The objective of the problem is to minimize the outsourcing cost, subject to the due date constraints. The considered problem is proved to be NP-hard. Some solution properties and valid inequalities are derived, and an effective lower bound is derived based on the LP-relaxation. The results of experimental tests are presented to evaluate the performance of the suggested lower bound.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae에서 hydrogen peroxide에 의한 glutathione의 변화 양상

YEPD medium에서 Saccharomyces cerevisiae CY4a의 growth에 따른 glutathione (GSH)의 양을 측정하였다. YEPD medium에서 CY4a가 H₂O₂adaptation 양상을 갔고 있는 지를 알아보기 위해서 lethal dose인 4mM H₂O₂를 처리한 것과 nonlethal dose인 0.2 mM H₂O₂를 처리한 것을 cell disruption을 거친 후에 HPLC를 이용하여 각각의 GSH 양을 측정한 결과 control에 비해 60 min 후에 53.1%, 22.1%가 줄었다. 동일한 방법으로 SD medium에서는 각각 GSH 양이 control에 비해 60 min에서 65.4%, 31.4%가 줄었다. SD medium에서 키운 early exponentially grown cell YEPD medium에서 키운 cell 보다 GSH 양이 약 3배정도 많았다. 그 이유는 growth condition이 나빠지면 cell은 survival하기 위해서 GSH 양을 늘리기 때문인 것으로 여겨진다. 또한 YEPD medium에서 isogenic mutant strain 인 gsh1의 경우에는 lethal dose인 4mM H₂O₂를 처리한 것과 nonlethal dose인 0.2 mH H₂O₂를 1 시간 동안 사전처리 한 후에 4mM H₂O₂를 처리 한 것의 GSH양을 알아보았다. 각각의 GSH 양이 control에 비해 60 min 후에 GSH 양이 45.1%, 21.6%가 줄었다. YEPD medium에서 자란 early exponential phase의 gsh1은 YEPD medium에서 자란 early exponential phase의 S. cerevisiae CY4a에 비해서 control GSH 양이 약 25% 적게 측정되었다. 그 이유는 gsh1의 경우에는 v-glutamylcystein synthetase가 없어서 배지 내의 GSH 만 이용하기 때문에 GSH 양이 적은 것이다.

Transmitting voice and image via internet is very important technology for internet distance learning and there are only small amount of internet contents using this technology. But the internet transmission speed is still cannot afford the customer need, and the CODEC technology which compressing and extracting image and voice is not practically used, there are a little contents using this technology in the area of distance learning. The CODEC algorithm that have high compression ratio had already developed, but it is not enough to offer software only. It is disscused the expansion process of MPEG which is fundametals of voice and image compression and the technological characteristics and pros and cons of comercial software Real Player and Media Player which using MPEG.
Taguchi Method에 의한 와이어 컷팅 가공 공정의 최적조건 선정에 관한 연구

This paper presents a solution of a multi-objective optimization problem for the selection of the best control combination setting on a wire electrical discharge machine by Taguchi Method.The performance of WEDM process can be presented material removal rate.With the L18 Orthogonal array experimental data, S/N ratio of each experimental set is calculated.With the larger- the-better characteristics, large S/N ratio means good material removal rate.
실험 데이타의 크기가 다구찌 방법을 이용한 최적설계 시 설계능력에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구

Selecting optimum condition is not easy problem for product design or manufacturing process design. Specially in the case of the quality of parts is not uniform and the frequent noise caused by uncertainty of environment, it is impossible selecting optimum product and manufacturing process design without experimental design method. Experimental design is very important role solving this kind of problems. The goal of experimental design is minimizing the noise of environment so achieving the robustness of product and process. In this research, the effect of experiment data size analyzed in case of Taguchi method. With three different data size, the ability of selecting optimum condition compared respectively.

Mahalanobis-Distance Outlier Detection Method를 이용한 자동차 브레이크 설계인자가 고객 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

In this work, Mahalanobis Distance Outlier detection method used for analyzing automotive brake feeling system, which consist of 9 brake design factors, JD power customer survey index and Buyer behavior index. From the 9 design factors, the Mahalanobis Distance calculated with respect to each selected car. The high MD value means that data out of trend and treated as a outlier and removed further process. From 32 different car models, 7 models are removed as a outlier and 25 cars used for linear regression. The results of linear regression after removing outlier shows very good relation between brake design factors and customer satisfaction.

Mahalanobis Taguchi System (MTS) is a pattern information technology, which has been used in different diagnostic applications to make quantitative decisions by constructing a multivariative measurement scale using data analytic methods. In MTS approach, Mahalanobis distance (MD) is used to measure the degree of abnormality of patterns and principles of Taguchi methods are used to evaluate accuracy of predictions based on the scale constructed. The advantage of MD is that it takes into consideration the correlations between the variables and this consideration is very important in pattern analysis. The purpose of this study is constructing admission diagnosis system and define the effect of admission requirements for student's academic accomplishment.
