      • A COMPARISION STUDY OF DETERMINING OPTIMAL CUTTING CONDITION BETWEEN THE TAGUCHI METHOD AND DESIGN OF EXPERIMENT

        In process planning or NC part programming optimal cutting condition is to be determined using reliable mathematical models representing the machining conditions of a particular work-tool combination. The development of such mathematical models requires detailed planning and proper analysis of experiments. In this paper, try to looking for more economic design of experiment method using orthogonal array. The test results are compared to traditional full factorial method using R-square value.

      • 사람 胎盤組織의 5'-Nucleotidase에 관한 硏究

        The plasma membrane bound 5'-Nucleotidase of the human placenta was investigated in relation to the placental age. The results were as follows: 1. Inhibitory effect of con-A on the early plecental 5'-Nucleotidase increased proportionately from 5ug to 20ug and was reversed by D-Mannose and D-Glucose but not by D-Galactose, L-arabinose and D-xylose. 2. Ribomononucleotides were preferable substrates for the 5'-Nucleotidase to deoxyribo mononucleotides. 3. The placental 5'-Nucleotidase was heat stable equally in all placental ages 4. Activity of the placental 5'-Nucleotidase did not change with placental age while that of nonspecific phosphatase was increased with the placental age. 5. Mn^2+ was required for maximal activity of the placental 5'-Nucleotidase among the four ions(Mn^2+, Co^2+, Ca^2+, Mg^2+.).

      • 사람 胎盤組織 S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine : Protein-Arginine N-Methyltransferase Protein-Arginine N-Methyltransferase in Human

        S-Adenosyl-L-methionine: protein-arginine N-methyltransferase has been purified from human term placenta approximately 5,700 fold with a 11% yield. The final preparation is completely free of any other protein specific methyltransferase. Histones appear to be a good substrate in accepting methyl group from S-adenosyl-L-methionine, whereas the relative substrate efficiency of myelin basic protein is less than 5% of that of histone IIA, indicating that the methylation of myelin basic protein is carried out by different enzyme entity. The enzyme preparation shows two optimum pHs around 7.6 and 8.1, and is stable in the presence of 10% glycerol when stored at -10℃, only 10% activity being lost over 8 weeks. The enzyme is, however, easily inactvated by treating the enzyme preparation at 50℃ for 7 min. The enzyme does not require any divalent cations. The divalent ions Cu^2+, Zn^2+, and Mn^2+ are found to be inhibitory, Cu^2+ being most potent since not only 90% of the enzyme activity is inactivated at 0.5 mM but also the activity could not be reversed by the addition of 1 mMEDTA. the enzyme activity is mainly located in the cytosol and nuclear fractions. Km value for S-adenosyl-L-methionine and Ki value for S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine are 5×10 exp (-6) M and 1.59×10 exp (-6) M respectively, and molecular weight of the enzyme deduced from Sephacryl-S-300 chromatography appears to be greater than 1.5×10 exp (6). The exogenous protein methylase Ⅰ activity does not correlate with placental age, whereas a gradual increase in the endogenous protein methylase Ⅰ activity occurs with advancing gestation up to term. From the above results it is discussed that the occurrence of the specific enzymes responsible for the methylation of histones, nonhistone chromosomal proteins and HnRNP respectively and the possible multienzyme complex formed by these enzymes and the possibility that different protein methylase Ⅰ may be involved in cell proliferation and cell differentiation respectively.

In this paper, try to compare the effect of experiment size when determining optimal machininng condition. Three different types of orthognal array are used for this purpose. The test results are compared to using R-square value.

      • The Effects of Experiment Size For Designing Four-Bar Linkage Using Artificial Neural Networks And The Taguchi Method

        기계장치의 메커니즘은 외부로부터의 힘을 유용하게 힘이 필요한 곳에 전달하는데에 그 목적이 있다. 기규로들은 개방형 또는 폐쇄형의 형태를 가지고 있는 조인트로 연결되어 있으며 여러 개의 링크로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 기구류들은 비선형운동 같은 복잡한 운동을 수행하면서도 간단하게 디자인 되어 질 수 있기 때문에 많은 관심을 받아왔다. 간단한 예로서 세개의 움직이는 링크와 하나의 고정 링크로 구성되어 있는 Four-Bar Link를 들 수 있다. 동력원이 되는 링크를 입력 링크라 부르고, 외부 기기와 연결된 링크를 출력링크라고 한다. 이러한 Four-Bar Link는 그 디자인 어떻게 디자인 요소들을 결정하느냐에 따라 성능에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 다구찌 방법을 통해 효과적으로 자동차용 후드 메카니즘에 적용될 수 있는 최적의 디자인 조건을 결정할 수 있었고 또한 신경망 이론을 이용한 최적 조건과 비교하여 보았다. 아울러 신경망 이론을 이용한 실험 데이터의 크기에 따른 최적 조건선정치의 변화에 대해서도 언급하였다.

        This paper presents a solution of a multi-objective optimization problem for the selection of the best control of combination setting on a wire electrical discharge machine. The performance of WEDM process can be presented material removal rate and surface finish. With a fatorial design experimental data, neural network used for estimation of the best combination setting and compared with that of selected by Taguchi Method. The results by neural network show a more successive prediction ability of best combination setting.

      • Feedforward Backpropagation Neural Network을 이용한 척추질환 환자의 진단에 관한 연구

        Artificial neural network can be used as a diagnosis and predictive method for analyzing patterns in multivariate cases. The goal of this study is diagnosis of the spondylolisthesis from biomedical data that is derived from the shape and orientation of the pelvis and lumbar spine. The data set has six attributes including pelvic incidence, pelvic tilt, lumbar lordosis angle, sacral slope, pelvic radius and grade of spondylolisthesis and two class including normal and abnormal. From University of California at Irvine machine learning repository, 100 normal and 150 spondylolisthesis patient’s data were used for this study. Backpropagation neural network, diagnosis used for diagnosis fo spondylisthesis and the results were described in this paper.
