1998년 3월부터 1998년 10월까지 60세 이상 건강한 노령층 228명(남:110명, 여:118명)을 대상으로 Coulter Counter Model GEN - S를 이용하여 얻은 노령층의 말초혈액 참고범위는 다음과 같다. 1. 적혈구 수는 남자 3.70 - 5.18 ×10(6)/㎣, 여자 3.43 - 4.64 ×10(6)/㎣ 이었다. 2. 혈색소는 남자 12.2 - 16.5 gm/dL, 여자 11.1-14.4 gm/dL 이었다. 3. 적혈구용적 백분율은 35.5 - 49.0 %, 여자 32.4 - 42.1% 이었다. 4. MCV, MCH, MCHC는 남자가 각각 88.1 - 102.2 fl, 29.8 - 35.0 pg, 32.9 -35.1 %, 여자는 각각 85.5 - 99.5 fl, 28.9 - 34.2 pg, 32.7 - 35.4 % 이었다. 5. 적혈구 분포폭은 남자 11.7-14.0, 여자 11.4 - 13.7 이었다. 6. 혈소판수 및 혈소판 용적비는 남자가 120 - 304×10(3)/㎣, 0.100-0.235 %, 여자는 138 - 317 × 10(3)/㎣, 0.113-0.250 이었다. 7. 평균 혈소판용적 및 혈소판 분포폭은 남자가 7.0 -9.5 fl, 14.7 - 16.4, 여자는 7.1 - 9.8 fl, 14.6 - 16.2 이었다. 8. 백혈구 수는 남자가 4.3 - 9.7 × 10(3)/㎣, 여자는 4.1 - 9.6 × 10(3)/㎣ 이었다. 9. 백혈구 백분율 계산은 호중구, 호산구, 호염기구, 림프구 및 단구는 각각 37.1 - 72.3%, 0.4 - 7.3%, 0.1-1.9%, 19.4-51.4%, 3.5-9.7% 이었다. To establish the hematological reference values in healthy geriatric population, we measured the RBC count, Hgb, Hct, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, Platelet count, Platelet-crit, MPV, PDW, WBC count and Differential count, determined by Coulter Counter model GEN-S in 228(M : 110, F : 118) persons over 60 years. The results were summarized as follows : 1. Reference value of RBC count: 3.70~5.18×10(6)/㎣ in male, 3.43~4.64×10(6)/㎣ in female. 2. Reference value of Hgb : 12.2~16.5 gm/dL in male, 11.1~14.4 gm/dL in female. 3. Reference value of Hct : 35.5~49.0 % in male, 32.4~42.1 % in female. 4. 목적 : 제왕절개술 후 복벽 반흔에 생긴 자궁내막중은 비교져 드문 질환으로, 그 발생 기전이 명확하게 알려져 일지 않다. 그러므로 복벽 반흔에 생긴 자궁내막중 발생에 MMP-9와 TIMP-1의 발현을 조사함으로 발생 기전을 알아보고자 한다. 연구 방법 : 제왕절개술 후 복벽에서 생긴 19예의 자궁내막증과 만삭의 예정된 제왕절개술시 채취한 10예의 자궁내막에 대한 MMP-9와 TIMP-1의 발현을 면역조직화학적 검사로 조사해 보았다. 결과 : 복벽 반흔에 생긴 자궁내막증 19예 중 11예와 (57.9%) 만삭 자궁내막 조직 10예 중 8예에서 (80.0%) MMP-9의 발현이 있었고, 자궁내막증 및 자궁내막조직 모두에서 TIMP-1의 발현은 관찰되지 않았다. 결과 : 복벽 반흔에 발생한 자궁내막증의 발생에 MMP-9와 감소된 TIMP-1이 관여하리라 추측한다. Objective : Endometriosis in a surgical scar following cesarian section is rare condition. And its pathogenesis has not been well established, The purpose of this study is to observe the expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) in scar endometrosis and full term endornetrium during cesarian section. Methods : Nineteen scar endometriotic tissue and ten full term pregnant endometrium during cesarian section were investigated by immunohistochemical stain for MMP-9 and TIMP-1. Results : The MMP-9 was expressed in eleven of nineteen scar endometriotic tissue (57.9%) and eight of ten full term pregnant endometrium (80.0%). The TIMP-1 was not expressed in both scar endometriotic tissue and full term pregnant endometrium. Conclusion : These results suggest that the relationship between NM-9 and TIMP-1 might play a role of pathogenesis of scar endometriosis.

There have been a limited number of reports of iron containing plasma cells. We studied clinical fea- tures, laboratory findings, and reviewed the medical records and marrow aspirates of 42 consecutive pa- tients with iron containing plasma cells in marrow at Catholic hospital over a two-years period. Iron containing plasma cells were associated most commonly with alcoholism and occurred in marrow with increased and normal iron storages, and the marrow changes of megaloblastoid normoblasts and ringed sideroblasts. Previous reports were reviewed. The presence of iron containing plasma cells is suggestive of alcoholism and its complication, and disease associated with liver function abnormality. The mechanism of entry of iron into plasma cells is unknown.

Paroxymal nocturnal hemoglobinuria(PNH) is a rare, acquired hematologic disease characterized by marrow hypoplasia, pancytopenia, recurrent venous thrombosis and chronic intravascular hemolysis. This disease shows marrow hypoplasia, during which a somatic mutation in a hematopoietic stem cell leads to an abnormal cell clone with deficient or absent membrane glycosylphosphatidylinositoHGPI) anchor. In the disease, clone of abnonnal, correlerrent-sensitive blood cells(RBCs, platelets, granulocytes, lymphocytes and monocytes) coexist with normal blood cells(chimerism), We report two cases of PNH in all third decade of femal. Two cases with PNH was identified through positive Ham``s test and sucrose lysis test. GPI-anchored proteins CD55 and CD59 were studied by flow cytorretry, Case 1 showed slightly deficient CD55 on RBCs, severe deficient CD55 on neutrophile, CD59 on RBCs and neutrophils. Case 2 results nearly normal CD55 on RBCs and neutrophils, but severe deficient CD59 on RBCs and neutrophils. Immunophenotypic analysis of expression of GPI -anchored proteins is replacing the Ham``s test as the standard diagnostic assay for PNH Due to its relatively high sensitivity and specificity, it is particularly helpful in the early stages of disease, or when there is a small numbers of GPI -deficient cells present and also in quantitation of PNH type I, II, III RBCs. In addition, with the recent commercial availability of CL69 analysis by flow cytometry, use of the Ham``s test as a diagnostic assay is no longer recommended.

In estimating concrete compressive strength with non-destructive test, age coefficient is applied in using rebound number test as sole method, but ultrasonic pulse velocity is not applied. Although need of applying age coefficient with change of ultrasonic pulse velocity aging effects of concrete must be considered, there is no research on age coefficient. Therefore, this study aims to estimate age coefficient of concrete ultrasonic pulse velocity, measure changes of concrete weight aging effects and provide materials to help physical examination of cancellation effects and estimation of proper concrete compressive strength. As a result of this experiment, variation of age coefficient in initial and long-term age was great and it was found that when concrete compressive strength was estimated with ultrasonic pulse velocity as sole method, application of age coefficient is absolutely needed.
철근콘크리트 넓은보-기둥 접합부의 철판삽입 보강에 따른 구조적 특성

The focus of study is to improve the seismic resistance and load-carrying capacity of reinforced concrete wide beam-column joints. A series of experiments on performances of reinforced concrete wide beam-column joints with several strengthening methods by applying steel plates were conducted under different conditions. The conclusion is as follows. Reinforced specimens and standard specimens for the comparison of experimental results, reinforcing the strength of the specimens about 2.7?30.9 %, 0.5?36.0 % degree of stiffness and energy dissipation capacity of 1.5?18.5 % accuracy, Shear of beams and columns 0.3?802.3 % higher than the degree subject was based. In comparison of the ductility, strengthened specimens showed relatively larger deformation of yield point. It was judged that the ductility of strengthened specimens didn’t change or decreased to compare with the standard specimens. To sum up the experimental results, the strengthened specimens have improved performances in terms of load-carrying capacity, member stiffness and energy dissipation capacity, it was concluded that the internal strengthening method of reinforced concrete wide beam-column joints by applying steel plates gave excellent in the improvement of the joint under seismic loads.
