우주적 순환과 융화의 시학 : 만해 한용운의 시 卍海韓龍云的詩

在卍海韓龍云的詩中"沈默"與"雄辯"共存,幷將兩者洽到好處的融爲一體, 意境優美而深刻. 卍海的詩與韓國傳統的語言觀念緊密結合.含蓄地表達內心世界是以韓國爲首的東方語言的基本認識. 接近語言的方式或像西方人那樣關心語言構詞都不能離開語言本身, 在表現與傳達的效用中, 他們重視語言機能, 所以熱衷干分析幷記述語言.而東方人比起語言本身更重視說話人的人格和人品. 卍海詩接近西方語言分析觀念的說法是不恰當的. 因爲卍海詩文中具有深刻的東方語言觀念, 卽重視沈默中的眞實. 沈默中孕含的眞實通過比喩和逆說有效傳達, 在卍海詩中的大量比喩和逆說的表現可以證明這一点. 詩集 『니的沈默』中的詩篇都可以定爲'愛情之歌'. 愛的對象是戀人, 民族, 或是衆生,歌詞的核心就是愛, 愛的對象以'니'來出現, 흔多人企圖定義'니'的實體, 但詩集的序中已經暗示'니'不能用一句話來定義, 他具有多種多樣流動的含義. 佛敎認爲萬物在不斷的消滅與産生中循環. 消滅與産生的反復形成萬 物的生命力. 因而沒有永恒的滅亡和永恒的生命是佛敎敎義. 卍海作爲佛敎僧人, 在他的詩中自然含有佛敎的意識形態. 就槪括詩人生命价値的絶對性的存在而言,卍海詩的'니'是宇宙的. 不僅是廣泛'的意思, 還有調和與統一的圓融性的含義, 是眞正的宇宙. 這里的'沈默和'雄辯'的語言充滿着交叉式宗敎之形而上學的眉語和民族的切實夢想. 卍海的詩可以說是宇宙的循環和融合的詩學.

The purpose of this study was to report a new research activity program for the gifted middle-school students. In this program, students obtain the flame spectra of sodium chloride (NaCl) - potassium chloride (KCl) salt mixtures and commerial salts for food additives using a simple handheld spectrometer with a charge-coupled device detector. The salt mixtures with different compositions and commercial salts are placed in crucibles and added with ethanol. Then, students observes the wavelength-dispersed spectra and find the strong atomic emission lines of Na and K. The line-intensity-ratio of K line to Na line observed for the NaCl-KCl mixtures are utilized for the intensity-toconcentration calibration curves. Through this program, the students learn basic concepts of uniqueness of elements and elemental analysis. Based on the results, teachers can motivate the students to apply their methodology to classification of commercial salts. 이 연구의 목적은 불꽃반응 실험을 이용하여 중학교 과학분야 영재아들을 대상으로 하는 새로운 탐구활동프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 이 연구에서 고안한 실험은 손바닥 크기의 간단한 휴대용 분광기를 이용하여 에탄올을 뿌린 시료의 불꽃 스펙트럼을 측정하는 방법을 이용한다. 먼저, 몇 가지 성분비의 염화소듐-염화포타슘 혼합물을 만들어 불꽃 스펙트럼을 관찰하였다. 포타슘 농도를 결정하기 위한 농도 검정선을 얻어 보았다. 이와 같은과정을 통해서 영재아들은 원소의 고유한 성질과 원소 분석의 기본 개념을 배우게 된다. 영재아들은 소금 속의 미네랄 원소들이 건강에 미치는 영향에 대한 선행 조사를 통해서 본 탐구활동에 대한 동기를 강하게 부여받을 수 있으며, 이 실험 방법을 소금의 종류 판별 등에 적용함으로써 과학적 실험을 실생활의 문제 해결에 이용할 수 있음을 체험할 수 있다.

Light in August에 나타난 Joe Christmas의 性格

이상으로 Joe Christmas의 성격과 그러한 성격을 형성하게 된 동기인 출생과 성장을 인종적, 종교적, 그리고 성적 측면에서 살펴보았고 또 Joe Christmas와 " The Sound and the Fury"의 주인공인 Quentin과 "Sanctuary"의 주인공인 Horace와의 관계를 비교검토해 보았다. 위 세 작품속의 주인공들의 공통점과 차이점을 대별해 본다면, 모두 비극적인 요소를 지녔다는 점, 따라서 자기 생애를 경직하게 산 나머지 자기자신 뿐만 아니라 타인을 위한 crucifier가 되었다는 점과 모두 idealist였다는 점 등의 공통점이 있다. 그러나 세분하면 그들의 비극적인 요소는 각기 다르다. Quentin은 사양부유계급의 후예로서 애정에 굶주린 self-crucifier가 되었지만, Horace는 chaos적 sancturary에서 오직 정의의 현실만을 추구하다 좌절되는 비극의 주인공이었는데 대하여 Joe는 불우한 탄생(mullato, basturd)과 사회의 불합리성때문에 자기 뜻대로 살지 못하고 계속 좌절하면서도 끝까지 굴하지 않고 후회하지 않으며 강직하게 행동적인 삶을 마쳤다는 차이점을 들 수 있겠다.

This paper examines behaviors of floating quantifiers in English and Korean, and provides analyses for them. These two languages have ordinary quantifiers and numeral quantifiers. Their syntactic behaviors are a little different in two languages, and those differences also make differences in their meaning. When they do not float, they can have both cardinal and presuppositional reading. When they float, however, they have only cardinal reading. For their analyses, this paper adopts Heim`s tripartite structure and Diesing`s Mapping Hypothesis. In those analyses, when QPs are mapped into restrictive clause, they have presuppositional reading. But, when they are mapped into nuclear scope, they have cardinal reading. In sum, this paper provides some theoretical accounts for ordinary and numeral quantifiers of English and Korean.

Unilateral noncystic renal dysplasia in a Sprague Dawley rat

Renal dysplasia is a developmental disorder of the renal parenchyma involving anomalous differentiation. It is char- acterized by persistent metanephric ducts surrounded by primitive mesenchyme, fetal or immature glomeruli, fetal or immature tubules, interstitial fibrosis, and dysontogenic metaplasia involving tissues such as cartilage. Renal dys- plasia has been rarely reported in rats. Here, we observed a small left kidney in a rat used in a short-term repeat toxicity study. The rat showed no clinical signs throughout the study. All parameters, including those reflecting kidney func- tions, were normal upon hematological examination and urinalysis. Grossly, the kidney was small (5 × 8 mm) and its surface appeared normal. Histological examination revealed that the cortex and medulla were poorly demarcated and contained immature/atrophic glomeruli, immature renal tubules, and mesenchymal cells. The cortex contained im- mature glomeruli, atrophic glomeruli with cystic dilatation of Bowman’s capsular space, and some atypical tubules. Primitive metanephric tubules in the medulla were larger in diameter than normal collecting ducts, lined by a tall colum- nar epithelium with pale cytoplasm and basal nucleus, and surrounded by loose mesenchymal cells. Occasional tubules contained pale eosinophilic homogenous material in the lu- men. Thus, this was diagnosed as a case of renal dysplasia on the basis of histologic features and is the first reported case of renal dysplasia in Sprague Dawley rats.
