John Flavel(1627-1691)의 주요 작품 속에 나타난 ‘구원확신론’에 관한 고찰

This paper attempts to analyze the sermons and works of John Flavel, a pastor and theologian who was active during the late period of the Puritan movement. In particular, the paper focuses on Flavel’s views on the “Doctrine of Assurance” and “The work of the Holy Spirit.” Flavel lived during a time of intense persecution, known as “The Great Persecution,” under the Stuart dynasty in England. He refused to adhere to the worship and theology of the Roman Catholic and Church of England, instead focusing on preaching and publishing works that promoted the Reformed tradition. Flavel’s works on these themes are organized into three parts. In his early works, he emphasized the importance of upholding the Reformed Puritan tradition of worship, which rejected the worship and theology of the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches, despite the religious oppression enforced by the Clarendon Code. Additionally, Flavel engaged in a debate with Antinomians, refuting their “Doctrine of Assurance” as being based on human logic alone. Flavel’s mid-career works deal with a more systematic theological exposition of his earlier arguments. He specifically dealt with ‘the Federal Theology’ centered on the Covenant of Redemption and the Covenant of Grace, emphasizing the direct and dynamic work of the Holy Spirit in the realization of the Covenant of Grace through Christ’s threefold office as prophet, priest, and king. Flavel described in detail the process by which the Word proclaimed by Christ as a prophet, the fruits of salvation accomplished as a priest, and the rule over his people as a king, are applied to his people through the work of the Holy Spirit, resulting in the assurance of salvation. Flavel’s later works warned against the stern judgment of God that would be brought about by the Roman Catholic resurgence in England, and emphasized the need for the revival of the Puritan theology and faith as the only alternative for England to be renewed as God’s kingdom. 이 논문은 청교도 후기에 목회자이자 신학자로서 활동하였던 존 플라벨의 설교집과 작품들을 분석하되, 특히 그의 “구원확신론”과 “성령의 사역”에 관련된 내용을 살피고 분석하는 작업을 시도하였다. 그는 당대 영국 스튜어트 왕조의 “대 핍박”(The Great Persecution)으로 인한 엄청난 고난의 역사 속에서 로마 가톨릭과 영국국교회의 예배 형태와 신학을 거부하고 개혁주의적 설교와 작품 출판에 집중하였다. 이러한 주제와 연관된 그의 작품은 3부로 구성된다. 그중, 초기 작품들은 “클라렌돈 법”(The Clarendon Code)을 통한 종교적 탄압을 강화하는 당국과 맞서서 가톨릭과 앵글리칸의 예배와 신학과 신앙을 거부하고, 개혁주의적 청교도 전통의 예배를 고수할 필요성과 당위성을 제시하였다. 또한, 그는 당시 율법폐기론자들과의 논쟁을 통해 그들의 ‘구원확신론’은 인간적인 논리에 불과하다는 점을 구체적으로 논증하였다. 그의 중기 작품들은 초기 작품들에 대한 논리적이고도 체계적인 신학적 논증을 다루고 있다. 그는 구속 언약과 은혜 언약을 중심으로 펼쳐진 ‘연합신학’을 구체적으로 다루면서, 은혜 언약의 실현으로서 그리스도가 담당하신 삼중직에 대한 성령의 직접적인 역동적 사역에 초점을 맞추었다. 즉, 선지자로서 그리스도가 선포한 말씀과 제사장으로 성취한 구원의 열매들과, 왕으로서 그의 백성들을 통치하시는 그리스도의 왕국이 성령을 통해 그의 백성들에게 적용되는 과정과, 이를 통한 신자의 구원적 확신의 열매를 맺어가는 과정을 상세하게 묘사하였다. 그의 후기 작품들은 당시 잉글랜드에 흥기하고 있던 로마 가톨릭주의로 인한 하나님의 준엄한 심판을 경고하고 있으며, 오직 청교도 신학과 신앙의 회복을 통해 잉글랜드가 하나님의 왕국으로 새롭게 거듭날 필요성과 그 대안을 구체적으로 제시하였다.

리차드 박스터(Richard Baxter,1615-1691)의 "보편속죄론(Universal Atonement)"에 관한 고찰

Richard Baxter, as one of the representative Puritans in 17th Century in England, opened up new vistas on the theory of Universal Atonement in controversy with John Owen, the mainstay of the Reformed Puritans. This Paper examines and demonstrates on those who influenced the formulation of Baxter's universal atonement, and the theological meaning and intent or extent, necessity of his doctrine of atonement, on account of the fact that Baxter's atonement theory provided a background for his Justification by Faith alone. Baxter was opposed to Antinomianism and its stress on Christians having no responsibility to keep the law of God because they have been made perfect in Christ, and need only to believe. And also he was opposed to Calvinism and its emphasis on unconditional election, double predestination, and limited atonement; which stressed that man's role in salvation is incidental or secondary. Baxter demonstrates that the effect of the atonement is that the satisfaction made by Christ was made equally for all man universally and generally so that all men are conditionally saved, and are actually saved if and when they do sincerely believe. 본 논문은 후기 청교도 역사를 선도하였던 존 오웬의 전통적인 제한속죄론에 반기를 들고 보편속죄론을 제창하였던 리차드 박스터의 속죄론의 이론적 근거와 배경 그리고 요지와 범위를 다루고 있다. 박스터의 속죄론은 그의 칭의론을 결정하는 매우 중요한 이론적 배경을 이루고 있다. 박스터의 속죄론 사상은 Thomas Aquinas(1225-1274), Johannes Duns Scotus( 1266-1308), William of Ockham(1300-1360) 그리고 Richard Sibbes, James Ussher로부터 상당한 영향을 받아 형성되었다. 특히 박스터는 어셔를 통해 신학의 다양성과 연합 및 일치의 중요성을 부각하였고, 그의"보편속죄론"은 Hugo Grotius(1583-1645)와 스코틀란드 출신의 John Cameron(1579-1623)과 프랑스 소뮈르 학파(French School of Saumur)의 직접적인 영향아래 놓여있다. 박스터는"Universal Redemption"를 통하여 그의 보편속죄론을 제시하였다. 그는 그리스도, 하나님 모두 율법에 대한 입법자이자 통치자의 면과 절대주인의 부분을 구별해야하며, 통치자 그리스도와 은혜수여자로서의 절대소유자를 구분해야 하며, 사건의 본질과 사건으로 인한 권한과 책임을 구분해야하고 자연과학과 윤리학을 구별해야함을 강조하였다. 이러한 박스터의 사상적 배경에는 하나님의 은혜와 인간의 책임 즉, 은혜를 베푸시는 하나님은 동시에 우리에게 도덕적 책임을 요구하시는 하나님이심을 논증하기 위해 두 개의 속성들을 열거한 것이다. 이러한 박스터의 이중구조적 신학체계는 성경에 근거하기 보다는 자신의 정치적 또는 철학적 사고방법론에 근거하고 있다. 이처럼 박스터는 자신의 이 중구조론에 입각한 보편속죄론을 완성하기 위해 인간의 책임부분으로서의 "믿음 즉 신앙'을 강조하였다. 전통적인 개혁주의 노선에 입각한 청교도 신학의 속죄론은 그리스도의 속죄의 충분성과 유효성을 구분하여 그 유효성은 오직 하나님의 주권적인 의지에 입각하여 실행됨을 주장하였지만, 박스터는 이 속죄를 유효하게 하는 충분성의 결정 요인을 하나님의 주권적인 의지보다는 사람의 회개와 믿음이라는 조건에 달려있음을 강조한 것이다.

An Analysis of John Owen's A Display of Arminianism and Evaluation of Its Theological Characteristics

This research aims to systematically analyze the contents of Owen's work, A Display of Arminianism, and to evaluate its theological characteristics. From a biblical foundation, Owen examined the problems of Arminian theology that were prevalent in Britain at the time. He dealt with various biblical themes, such as the decrees of God, predestination, original sin, the death of Christ, faith, grace, righteousness, and man's free will, all from a very argumentative and epistemological perspective. He also used the hermeneutic methodology of theology to describe in detail how the works of God's providence and decrees have accomplished the history of salvation. Owen thoroughly used the Scriptures for his hermeneutics to achieve this purpose, representing the most unique and extraordinary phenomenon of Puritan theology. 본 연구의 목적은 청교도 신학의 완성자인 존 오웬의 알미니안주의의 해부라는 작품에 대한 구조적 분석 및 신학적 특징들을 고찰함에 있다. 오웬은 당대 잉글란드에 풍미하였던 알미니안 주의의 신학적 문제점들을 은혜신학적 관점에서 철저하게 분석하고 개혁주의적 대안을 제공하였다. 그는 하나님의 경륜, 예정, 섭리, 원죄, 그리스도의 죽으심과 믿음, 은혜, 의로움을 위시하여 인간의 자유의지와의 상관성을 논쟁적이고도 인식론적 관점에서 상세하게 다루었다. 특히 그는 하나님의 섭리와 경륜의 사역이 어떻게 구체적으로 구원사에 적용되었는지에 관하여 해석학적인 방법론을 동원하여 분석하였다. 오웬의 신학은 청교도 신학의 특징적 방법론인 연합 신학에 근거하여 수많은 성경구절을 동원하여 알미니안주의의 문제점들을 구체적으로 제시하 였다. 이러한 그의 신학적 특징은 개혁주의 전통인 칼빈주의에 철저하게 입각하였으며 어거스틴 신학적 전통을 고수하고 있다는 점이다.

The current study analyzed the research theme and direction of accounting information systems papers published in Korea and in America. The research classification scheme proposed by Han[1992] was employed to classify researched theme of the papers. Research methodology was also examined. 인코넬 718 합금을 이용한 연소기챔버 냉각유로 성형

연소기 챔버의 냉각유로는 보통 내피를 절삭가공하여 외피와 브레이징으로 제작되나 본 연구에서는 전자빔 용접으로 패터닝 된 예비성형체를 이용하여 블로우포밍 공정으로 냉각유로 성형을 시도하였다. 냉각유로 형성을 위한 패터닝 용접은 TIG와 전자빔용접 두가지 방법을 고려하였으며, 패턴의 균일성을 위하여 전자빔 용접으로 선정을 하였고, 블로우포밍 공정시 용접부 주위에 변형이 집중되기 때문에 평판 테스트를 통해 한 라인당 적절한 용접 횟수를 결정하였다. 성형해석을 통해 결정된 압력 선도를 적용하여 냉각채널을 성형한 결과 원소재 자체의 낮은 성형성으로 인해 일부 결함이 발생하였으나 패터닝 간격을 증가시키므로써 해결할 수 있었다. 향후, 양호한 채널을 성형하기 위해서는 본 연구에서 검증한 용접조건과 더불어 원소재 자체의 성형성이 높은 판재를 확보하는 것이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. The cooling channel of combustion chamber has been usually manufactured by brazing outer and inner case which has the machined channels. However, in this study an alternative manufacturing route is investigated by blow forming using EB welded preform made of Inconel 718. To form cooling channels, EBW is selected in the view point of uniformity. In addition, the number of welding pass per line is determined through the plane panel test, which could increase the elongation in HAZ, because the deformation is concentrated near the weld. Using the predicted pressure profile, forming trials are conducted. Although some failures in the welding area occurred during forming, it could be overcome by increasing pattern welding interval. In the future, it is construed that the high formability of the sheet would be helpful for the sound cooling channel forming together with the number of weld pass per line obtained from the current study.
