SI unit is a new unit that is used world wide nowadays. We have used various unit SI unit is more preferable than the others. In many countries, SI unit is generally using in the science, industry and other fields. Some problems were extracted in this article. 1. SI unit that was regulated by the C. G. P. M is admitted internationally. So, it is desirable to admit SI unit in Korea. 2. The education about the new unit to school teachers is advisable first. 3. The use of the SI unit must be generalized by the regulation of the authories concernced.
금속철 및 산화철의 K - 흡수단 미세구조에 관한 연구

The K-edge absorption spectra of Fe and FeO are measured by X-ray absorption spectroscope Comparisons to theory are made for both the Fe and FeO data. We attempt to interpret origins of the spectral near-edge structure. For themetal Fe, We find agreement between the data and one-electron calculations. Peaks of near edge structure of FeO can not explain with one-electron transition model. For explanation of these peak, we find that the core-exciton and many-body effects must be taken into account. From the extended X-ray absorpticn fine structure (EXAFS), we determined distance to the nearest neighbour. The results agree with the value from the X-ray diffraction experiment.

Soil temperatures play a major role in biological activity within the soil. The purpose of this paper is to show the temperatures at various depths and times. The surface variations in tem- perature penetrate into the soil as a damped wave and with an amplitude attenuated by the factor ?? for each increase in depth at Seogwipo in Jeju-Do. The value of k is 0.472 has been proved.

The condensed results of the analytical study on 361 doctoral dissertations in science education recorded in Dissertation Abstracts International during the years of 1985 - 1989 are as follows: About eighty to hundred dissertations were produced annually, but a slight decline in number was noted currently. About 94.4% of dissertations were produced by the universities in the USA. The research data of 361 dissertations were collected from 25 countries. Over 40% of total dissertations had been focused on high school(senior middle school) and college students as the source of research. Disciplines of science constituting the background of dissertations were biologj(19.1%), physics(12.7%), chemistry(12.0%) and earth science(2.5%). Concerning the research branches, the number of dissertations belonging to complex research(composed of experimental and theoretical research) was 118(32.7%) and those belonging to experimental and theoretical research were 88( 24.4%) and 74(20.5%) respectively. Also that belonging to computer-aided research was 45(12.5%). The general methods of data collection were examination & test(34.9% ), questionaire(22.2 %) and complex method(l9.1%). The main areas of dissertations were academic achievement(31.8%), teaching assessment nd pedagogy(18.8%).

CdIn_(2)0_(4) photoanodes of 1.0cm diameter and 2mm thickness were prepared by pressing the mixed powders of high purity CdO and In_(2)O_(3) with molar ratio 1.1. At 1,100℃, fied for 72 hours and at 800℃, annealed for 24 hours in O_(2) gas. The photoanode had both a high electrochemical stability m 1M Na_(2)HPO_(4), solution and a good photosenstivity. From their photalectrolysis, the flat band potential of the anode was -0.275 volt (V vs. SOE). The photovoltaic effect is observed in the wan-length range from 23Onm to 760nm and maximum photocurrent was 1.8mA/㎠ at 38Onm.
