        한국산 진도개의 G - banded 핵형

        The karyotype of Jindo dog was analysed by conventional Giemsastaining and G-banding technique. The karyotype in somatic cell consisted of 78 chromosomes. All of autosomes were telo- or acrocentric chromosomes, but X and Y chromosome were submetacentric. All of chromosomes could be identified by G-banding patten. In a few chromosomes (Nos. 5, 9, 18 and 38), G-banding patterns of Jindo dog were different from those of Beagle (Manolache et al., 1976).

        Damage Prediction in the Multistep Forging Process of Subminiature Screws

        In this study, a multi-step forging process of subminiature Torx screws is investigated. The production of subminiature screws requires precision forming technologies for the head forging process and the thread rolling process. In the head forging process, various defects such as micro-cracks or material folding are frequently observed due to the small size of screw heads and the highly-concaved geometry of the Torx pattern. To predict the formation of these defects, finite element (FE) analyses were performed for the multistep forging process of subminiature screws. The Cockcroft-Latham damage criterion was used to predict micro-cracks and the refined mesh was used to predict the folding defect, from which the possibilities of the crack and folding defects were numerically evaluated. Based on the FE analysis results, the effects of die design parameters and forging conditions were investigated for the purpose of reducing the amount of defects. The design of multistep dies was changed and analyzed through FE simulation. Experiments based on the analysis results were conducted, and the improved die can be used to prevent the formation of crack defects and folding defects.

      • 한국인 다운증후군 한자의 혈청단백질 조성과 HBs항원 양성율

        The fractions of serum proteins, the levels of serum immunoglobulins and the positive rate of HBs Ag were investigated in Korean patients with Down's syndrome. Mean concentrations (g/dl) of serum protein, albumin, a1,-globulin fraction, a2-globulin fraction, $\beta$-globulin fraction and Y-globulin fraction were 7.80$\pm$1.44, 3.89$\pm$0.74, 0.26$\pm$0.09, 0.80$\pm$0. 18, 1.00토0.29 and 1.85$\pm$0.64, respectively. Mean concentrations(mg/dl) of IgG, IgA and IgM were 1,682.17$\pm$600.26, 247.39$\pm$180.86 and 170.87$\pm$79.90, respectively. The positive rate of HBs Ag was 21.74% These results revealed higher levels of Y-globulin fraction, IgG and positive rate of HBs Ag in patients with Down's syndrome than in normal population.

      • 한국인 집단의 유전학적 연구 19 : 40세이하 정상인의 염색체 이상빈도 FREQUENCY OF CHROMOSOMAL ABERRATIONS IN NORMAL GROUP AGED UNDER 40 YEARS OLD

        In order to estabilish the base line frequency of chromosome aberrations in normal Korean aged under 40 years old group, metaphase chromosomes of peripheral lymphocytes were analyzed. Sixty blood samples were drawn from each of 10 males and 10 females in each groups of teenager, twenties, and whole blood were cultured. The values of chromosome aberrations obtained were analyzed with respect to age, sex and smoking habit. The overall mean frequencies of chromatid deletion, acentric chromosome, dicentric chromosome were 0.70, 0.43 and 0.10%, respectively.

        In order to evaluate the pontential of cytogenetic determinations on peripheral lymphocytes as a means of monitoring human populations subject to exposure to genotoxic agents, base lines data are required in chromosome aberrations. From this viewpoint, we have previously reported on the frequencies of chromosomal aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes of healthy Korean ranging from 10 to 69 years old. The sample size was increased in order to extend the age range. Sixty one blood samples were taken from healthy individuals in two age groups(ages of one group were under 10 years, and the other were above 70 years). A total of 6100 metaphase cells were examined for the detection of chromosome aberrations. The mean frequency of chromosomal aberration of broups aged under 10 and above 70 was found to be 1.18 and 2.57, respectively. These frequencies were analyzed with respect to the factors of age, sex and smoking. However these factors had no significant effects on the frequency of chromosome aberrations examined.

      • 韓國産 家畜의 核型에 관한 硏究

        In order to obtain karyological information, karyotypes of a few Korean domestic animals were examined. The chromosome numbers and types of them analized were as follows. 1) Bos taurus: 2n=60, 1 pairs submetacentric chromosomes and 29 pairs telo-or subtelocentric chromosomes. 2) Capra hircus: 2n=60, 30 pairs telo- or subtelocentric chromosomes. 3) Canis familaris (spitz): 2n=78, 1 pairs submetacentric chromosomes and 38 pairs telo- or subtelocentric chromosomes. 4) Canis familaris (bulldog): 2n=78, 39 pairs telo- or subtelocentric chromosomes.

        In order to assess the potential of chromosomal aberrations on peripheral lymphocytes as a means of monitasing human populations subject to occupational and environmental exposure to physiochemical mutagens, baseline frequency have been required. We have previously reported on the frequencies of chromosomal aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes of healthy Korean aged from 10 to 69 years old. This samples has been increased in order to extend the age range. Sixty one blood samples were taken from 61 indivisuals, and a total 6100 metaphase cells were examined for chromosome aberrations. The frequencies of chromosomal aberration of groups aged under 10 years old and above 70 years old were 1.18 and 2.57. The frequencies were analyzed with respect to the age, sex and smoking. However no significant differences were found among them.

        제주 민자주방망이버섯의 계통유전학적 분석

        이 연구에서는 제주도에서 자생하는 Lepista nuda 균주의 계통유전학적 위치를 밝히고자 우리나라 지역별 L. nuda 균주 와 유럽 2품종, 일본의 2품종 및 Lepista속의 2종(Lepista sordida, Lepista irina)을 분석 하였다. 이들의 형태, RAPD, ITS 서열 등의 방법으로 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 제주 L. nuda는 우리나라 다른 지역에서 채집된 L. nuda보다 크기가 작 고 색이 연하며 갓 모양이 평평하고 얇아 형태적으로 차이를 보였다. RAPD 분석으로 우리나라에서 채집된 L. nuda의 종 내 genetic dissimilarity는 0%~21.60%범위였으며 Lepista속 3종간의 평균 genetic dissimilarity는 24.48%였는데 L. nuda와 L. sordida는 16.93%~24.82%, L. nuda와 L. irina는 20.62%~25.54%, L. sordida와 L. irina는 23.49%로 나타 났다. ITS 염기서열 분석 결과 L. nuda균주간의 종내 genetic dissimilarity는 1.58%~11.47% 범위였으며 Lepista속 3종 간의 ITS 염기서열 분석결과 genetic dissimilarity는 9.97%로 나타났는데 L. nuda와 L. sordida는 3.83%~12.88%, L. nuda와 L. irina는 7.11%~15.61%, L. sordida와 L. irina는 4.97%였다. RAPD와 ITS에 의해 산출된 genetic dissimilarity를 이용하여 위의 균주들에 대한 neighbour-joining 분석을 실시한 결과 4개의 cluster형성하였으며 제주 L. nuda는 L. irina가 하나의 cluster를 이루었으며 용인 L. nuda와는 같은 subgroup을 형성하지 않았다. 또한 단포자 교배실 험 결과 제주도 L. nuda는 내륙의 L. nuda와 교배가 이루어지지 않았다. 이 같은 결과로 보아 제주도에 서식하고 있는 L. nuda는 L. nuda종의 품종이라기보다 다른 종으로 추정된다.

        전압의존성 Ca2+ 통로 억제를 통한 桂枝 에탄올 추출물의 혈관이완 효능

        Cinnamomi Ramulus is one of the medicinal plants that have been used to improve various diseases caused by insufficient blood circulation. This study was performed for the investigation of vasodilation efficacy ethanol extract of Cinnamomi Ramulus (CR). CR exhibited vascular relaxation against phenylephrine (PE, 10-6M)-, KCl- and NaF-induced contraction in rat thoracic aorta. In addition, its relaxation was endothelium-independent. Treatment of potassium channel blockers such as gilbenclamide (Gli, 10-5M), tetraethylammonium (TEA, 1 mM) and 4-aminopyridine (4-AP, 0.2 mM) did not effect on the relaxation of CR. The relaxant effects were also not inhibited by pre-treatment of rat aorta with L-NAME (10-4M), methylene blue (10-5M), indomethacin (10-5M), and atropine (10-6M). However, nifedipine (10-5M), L-type Ca2+ channel blocker, in part attenuated the relaxation of CR (0.2 ㎎/㎖), but SK&F96365 (3×10-5M), receptor activated Ca2+ channel blocker and 2-APB (10-4M), store operated Ca2+ channel blocker did not affact dilation of CR. These findings suggest that the endothelium-independent relaxation effect of CR is partly related with inhibition of Ca2+ influx via voltage dependent Ca2+ channel.
