        키토산 가교처리된 면직물의 태 변화에 관한 연구 : 에피클로로히드린과 키토산 농도의 영향 Effect of Concentration of Epichlorohydrin and Chitosan

        This article describes the change of hand value of chitosan crosslinked cotton fabrics. The chitosan crosslinked cotton fabrics were manufactured by mercerizing process using epichlorohydrin(ECH) as crosslinking agent, 2% aqueous acetic acid as a solvent of chitosan and ECH, and 20% aqueous sodium hydroxide as a mercerizing agent and crosslinking catalyst. Cotton fabrics were dipped in the mixed solution of chitosan and ECH, picked up by mangle, mercerized and crosslinked in NaOH solution, and finally wash and dry. Mechanical and physical properties of the chitosan crosslinked fabric were investigated using Kawabata Evaluation System(KES) and other instruments. Tensile energy and tensile strain were decreased with the increase of the concentration of chitosan. Tensile resilience, compression resilience, bending rigidity, bending hysteresis, shear stiffness, shear hysteresis, coefficient of friction, geometrical roughness, compression linearity, compressional energy; and thickness were increased with the increase of the concentration of chitosan. On the other hand, bending rigidity, bending hysteresis, coefficient of friction, geometrical roughness, compressional resilience, and thickness were increased with the increase of the concentration of crosslinking agent(epichlorohydrin).

        천문동 뿌리의 자연발효에 관여하는 미생물 및 발효 후 효능 변화

        Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of Asparagus cochinchinensis (AC) and fermented AC (fAC) on microorganisms and efficacies. Methods: AC was fermented for four weeks without using any bacterial strains. Then we investigated fermentation characteristics including potential of hydrogen (pH), total sugar, microbial profiling and antioxidant compound contents such as total polyphenol and total flavonoid. The anti-obesity effects of AC and fAC were evaluated by using Oil Red O staining in 3T3-L1 adipocyte. Also anti-diabetic effects of them were evaluated by using 2-[N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl)amino]-2-deoxy-d-glucose (2-NBDG) uptake in C2C12 skeletal muscle cell. Results: Both pH and total sugar of fAC were decreased significantly compared to unfermented AC. And the abundance of total bacteria and lactic acid bacteria increased during fermentation, especially Lactobacillus plantarum. Also fermentation of AC increased the content of total polyphenol. On the metabolic aspects, we found that AC and fAC suppressed fat accumulation. Conclusions: After four weeks of fermentation, AC increased concentrations of active compounds, altered microbial composition, and inhibited fat accumulation such as triglyceride. These results indicate that fermentation of AC might be a beneficial therapeutic approach for obesity.

        During the life cycle of early gastric cancer, some malignant ulcers may undergo partial or complete mucosal repair. Endoscopic visualization alone cannot reliably discriminate benign from malignant gastric ulcers. A 45-year-old man visited our hospital complaining of hematemesis. Endoscopy revealed a 2×2 cm sized, deep ulcer with adherent clots at the posterior wall of the gastric body. Proton pump inhibitor was prescribed for 2 months. Diagnostic endoscopic mucosal resection was performed. Histology revealed an early gastric cancer involving the lamina propria which was resected completely.         증강현실에서의 현실감 있는 가상 모델 가시화를 위한 Texture의 생성에 관한 비교 연구

        The virtual model reflects the reality and gives the user a sense of understanding and immersion in the model. For example, in a shipyard, a virtual model of a digital twin can increase work productivity by giving workers an immediate view of the model of the scene. However, Augmented reality virtual models are insufficient to describe reality of real model and there is a sense of heterogeneity, which reduces the objective commitment of work model and the reality of work environment. Although many methods to give a sense of reality to texture have been studied in the past, they have been confirmed that the method using Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) is more efficient than other methods. GAN is a field of learning non-intelligence that can learn the image relation between two domains and transform it into a desired form. In this study, we have selected the most appropriate technique based on GAN to map the learning results to the virtual model. Based on these results, we expect to see various cases of shipbuilding marine industry using GAN.

        효소처리 팽화미 분말로 제조한 타락죽의 이화학 및 소화 특성

        This study was aimed to develop a gruel using rice extrudates and to evaluate physicochemical properties of Tarakjuk (milk porridge; MP) prepared with milk (M) and rice powder (RP, control), rice extrudate (RE), or enzyme treated rice extrudates (ETR). Pasting property of ETR was significantly different from those of RP or RE with significantly low peak viscosity, breakdown and setback values in the ETR sample. Viscosity of MP prepared with ETR was also significantly low, as compared to that of control (> 900 cP). The total solids and spreadability of MP with ETR was higher than those with RP or RE. Hunter color values varied significantly depending on enzyme treatment levels in ETR samples with enzyme dose-dependent increase in b-value. Average starch digestibility of ETR sample was higher by 10.2% than that of control sample. DPPH radical scavenging activities of ETR samples were greater than those of RE or RP. These results indicated that ETR could be beneficial for preparing easy-drink and diet food with higher starch digestibility and fluidity, especially for gastric tube-fed patients.

        미세유동화법으로 제조한 캡사이신 함유 나노에멀션의 안정성

        The objectives of this study, which filled gaps in previous studies, were: (1) to find the optimal mixing condition of nanoemulsions containing oleoresin capsicum (OC), Tween 80, propylene glycol (PG), and sucrose monostearate (SES) by microfluidization; (2) to investigate their properties and stability depending on such factors as pH, temperature, and heating time; (3) to measure the effect of adding ascorbic acid. In order to test these objectives, the following three experiments were conducted: Firstly, in order to find the optimal mixing ratio, nanoemulsions containing OC - the mean diameter of which is smaller than 100 nm - were prepared through the process of microfluidization; and their mean particle size, zeta potential, and capsaicinoids were measured. The test results indicated that the mixing ratio at OC : Tween 80 : PG + water(1:2) = 1 : 0.2 : 5 was optimal. Secondly, the properties and stability of nanoemulsions were investigated with varying parameters. The test results illustrated that single-layer nanoemulsions and double-layer nanoemulsions coated with alginate were stable, irrespective of all the parameters other than/except for pH 3. Thirdly, the properties of nanoemulsions were then analyzed according to the addition of ascorbic acid. The results demonstrated that the properties of single-layer nanoemulsions were not affected by addition of ascorbic acid. In case of alginate double-layer nanoemulsions, the particle size was reduced, and zeta potential increased with the addition of ascorbic acid. In conclusion, the demonstrated stability of various nanoemulsions under the different conditions in the present study suggests that these findings may constitute a basis in manufacturing various food-grade products which use nanoemulsions-and indicate that food nanoemulsions, if adopted in the food industry, have the potential to satisfy both the functionality and acceptability requirements necessary to produce commercially marketable food-grade products.

        Research and Technology Trend Analysis by Big Data-Based Smart Livestock Technology: a Review

        Purpose This study introduces the global research and technological trends related to various kinds of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) used and applied in the livestock industry by improving productivity via breeding, disease and optimal environment control, and smart business management. Method Prior research data was collected using “ICT,” “IoT,” “information technology (IT),” “ubiquitous technology,” “smart livestock,” and “big data” as main keywords. Results Most livestock farms in Korea adopt smart livestock technology that are mostly used in the 1st or 1.5th generations, while continuous developments are being carried out for technologies of the 2nd and 3rd generations. In the livestock house, camera vision, radio-frequency identification (RFID), beacon sensors, and environmental sensors are used in livestock farms and houses to collect information compiled into a database to introduce an automated system for livestock management. Conclusion The data collected from each individual and farm can enable precise breeding and ultimately improve the productivity and efficiency of smart livestock systems. It is necessary to prepare a systematic system at the national level for data collection, ownership, and sharing to improve the productivity and efficiency of the smart livestock system.

        Influence of Pre-Pregnancy Underweight Body Mass Index on Fetal Abdominal Circumference, Estimated Weight, and Pregnancy Outcomes in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

        This study aimed to determine the influence of pre-pregnancy body mass index on pregnancy outcomes in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), comparing underweight patients with GDM with normal weight patients with GDM. Maternal baseline characteristics, ultrasonographic results, and pregnancy and neonatal outcomes were reviewed in 946 women with GDM with singleton pregnancies. Underweight patients with GDM showed a benign course in most aspects during pregnancy, except for developing a higher risk of giving birth to small for gestational age neonates. Underweight women with GDM required less insulin treatment, had a higher rate of vaginal delivery, and had a lower rate of cesarean delivery. In addition, their neonates were more likely to have fetal abdominal circumference and estimated fetal weight below the 10th percentile both at the time of GDM diagnosis and before delivery. Notably, their risk for preeclampsia and macrosomia were lower. Collectively, our data suggest that underweight women with GDM may require a different approach in terms of diagnosis and management throughout their pregnancy.
