The Edo(Tokugawa) period was a very impressive era in Japanese history from political, social and cultural aspects. Merchants displayed their wealth and hobbies particularly through attire. Costumes as gorgeous as warrior's suits drew great attention. In weedding dresses as well, many fancy materials and patterns were used. The patterns mostly used for wedding dresses included pine trees, bamboo and the japanese apricot. As a lucky sign, piness and cranes were used. As a symbol of long life, in addition,crane and turtle patterns were used. As economic and social power became stronger in popular culture, attire became more ornamented with gorgeous and diverse patterns. This study has attempted to examine the type of the Uchikake during the Edo period and develop a creative design using the color, materials and technique inspired from wedding dress patterns. Shown in the Edo period Uchikake patterns utilizing a total of eight design and production techniques with hand painting, stone art, air brush was used.
만성 신장질환자의 혈액투석 중 부작용에 대한 일반투석과 profiling 투석법의 비교

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate adverse reactions during hemodialysis with gradient ultrafiltration and high sodium dialysate could be reduced as compared to conventional hemodialysis. Method: Thirteen outpatients who had been on hemodialysis three times in a week for more than 6 months were recruited. he data were collected for 8 weeks from July 3 through August 26, 2006. Patients received conventional hemodialysis for the first four weeks, and then received profiling dialysis of gradient ultrafiltration & high sodium dialysate for the second four weeks. The collected data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation, paired t-test at significant level of .05. Result: The incident frequency of hypotension during sodium profiling hemodialysis was reduced, compared to conventional hemodialysis(t=1.210, p=.020). At the same time, the number of nursing interventions during sodium profiling hemodialysis was reduced significantly. Although systolic and diastolic blood pressure measured after profiling hemodialysis and conventional hemodialysis were not significantly different, the levels of systolic and diastolic BP were increased and concentration level of sodium was increased from 138.0±2.2mEq/L in conventional hemodialysis(the first four weeks) to 140±2.9mEq/L in profiling hemodialysis(the second four weeks) with t=-1.627, p=.114. Conclusion: Due to the reduced number of adverse reactions and nursing interventions in profiling hemodialysis, we can expect an increase in patient's compliance toward hemodialysis. This study suggest that profiling hemodialysis would be more efficient hemodialysis and more effective nursing interventions in occurrence of adverse reactions. However, because of the limited number of cases of this study, the effectiveness of profiling hemodialysis is yet to be determined.

Generally, railroad soil around turnout was caused by leakage of lubricant oils during its maintenance. So, TPH concentration in soil was much higher than standard in Soil Envirnment Law. In additiont, railroad site was still difficult to assess due to railcar operation. This research was conducted to investigate the effect on electrolyte concentration during the Electrokinetic-Fenton process for contaminated soil around railroad turnout. As a result, experimental result shows that TPH removal in soil and amount of EOF were changed depending on electrolyte concentration. In future, the removal efficiency can be enhanced to optimize concentration in EK-Fenton Process.

Generally, the soil around railroad is contaminated by the leakage of oil during its maintenance or the operation of rolling stock. Because the railroad soil is located under ballast and is hardened with the designated strength due to safety, the characteristics of the polluted site are different. In this study, the phenomena of oil diffusion in the railroad site was investigated using 2-D reactor. The used oil was lubricant. As a result, the maximum diffusion depth of lubricant was about 9.5 cm due to its high viscosity and the hardened soil. The lubricant was diffused by gravity more than by horizontal migration. In the future, these results can be applied to develop a remediation method for the contaminated railroad soil.
조선시대 활옷에 나타난 문양을 활용한 네일 디자인 연구

Hwalot(bridal topcoat) was korea's traditional wedding dress worn by princesses during the Joseon period. Later, it was used by commoners as well during weddings. The bride's robe was embroidered with decorative stitches, making it more stylish and attractive. For example, it is embroidered with unique patterns which symbolize longevith and good luck. In addition, the sino-korean letters 'Isongjiha'p and 'Baekbojiwon' and young boy holding a lotus flower in his hand are embroidered on the front. Across the robe were embroidered various flower patterns. For example, unique patterns are stithed upwardly in an orderly manner. Therfore, this study reviewed the types of patterns embroidered on hwalot and their symbolism and chose chrysanthemum pattern, peony pattern, japanese apricot pattern and butterfly pattern for nail design by taking the hwalot patterns as motives. Based on the five patterns, this study attempted to determine with creative nail design using hand printing, airbrushing, stone art gel art techniqes.
디젤오염 철도토양의 토양세정법 적용을 위한 계면활성제 선정 연구

Generally, the clean-up of oil-contaminated soil has been substantially conducted in the field. The soil pollution of railroad site has been caused by oil leakage at fueling or around UST. Therefore, in-situ soil flushing was performed using nonionic surfactant for diesel-contaminated railroad soil in this study. The basic properties of field soil were investigated and six kinds of nonionic-surfactants were tested including Tergitol 15-S-9, Tergitol NP10, Tween 85, Triton X-100, Brij 56 and Brij 76. As a result, Triton X-100 and Tergitol 15-S-9 showed the highest TPH removal efficiency. In conclusion, these results can be applied to remove diesel from contaminated railroad field using soil flushing.

Recently, the standard of culture has improved because of the increase in national economic power. As a result, the value of national culture and traditional culture has been re-evaluated. This study has attempted to use traditional Korean patterns in manicure to provide diverse nail art design to customers. In addition, designs based on preference by age have been developed after investigating what kind of traditional Korean patterns customers prefer. In this study, various nail art designs were created using unique traditional Korean patterns. It is anticipated that the results of this study will be useful in matching diverse costumes and helpful in providing various nail design services through market segmentation by age and proper response to customers’ diverse needs after developing designs according to customers’ preference by age.
중금속 오염 철도 토양의 세척에 의한 정화 타당성 연구

The feasibility of soil washing was investigated in the laboratory to treat heavy metals-contaminated railway soil. Various organic acids including ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) and citric acid as well as inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid (HCl) and phosphoric acid were tested to evaluate washing efficiency. Generally, inorganic acid showed higher removal efficiency compared to organic acids. Specially, EDTA, which are well known as most effective washing agent to remove heavy metals from soil, was not efficient to remove heavy metals in this study. Among washing agents tested in this study, HCl was most effective. The removal of Cd, Cu, and Pb was high, however, that for Zn and Ni was less than 30% with 0.5 M HCl. This difference comes from analytical methods (Korean Standard Test Method for Soil). Aqua regia was used to extract Zn and Ni, however 0.1 N HCl was used for other metals. As a result, simple washing technology is not effective, to treat railway contaminated soil with heavy metals.
