        The purpose of this study is to review the type and feature of sport records in the time when sport was introduced in Korea in order to provide thoughtful issues in utilizing and managing sport archives. At the outset of the modern era, Korean sport have developed tremendously both in quality and quantity by the induction of western sport. Thus the western sport have brought in the scientific technology to record sport results, moreover, promoting sport recording techniques and information delivering methods. Sport records in the modern era has displayed in different ways and characteristics compared from the earlier ones in the past. First of all, the introduction of modern day form of sport games and results were shown for the first time, and by establishing sport related committees and organizations the recordings for the administration of these groups have emerged. Secondly, being supported by the development of technology media have emerged allowing information created by newspapers and various broadcasting systems to be recorded not only by recording information from the documentary records. Thirdly, the pool of information to be recorded have expanded and the modern day social infrastructure have improved the variety of sport recording producers. In order to be successful in efficient sport archives management for the modern sport in Korea, analyzing the feature of archiving forms and characteristics of sport records and the proper methods must be applied based on the clear understanding of Korea modern sport era.

        서울-올림픽 기록물의 존재형태에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine the possibility of adapting the record science theory into Olympic record management by analysing a special feature, value and shape of existence of the historical record of Seoul Olympic Games. The results of this study is as follows; Firstly, Olympic record exist as the form of both archives and manuscripts and has the variety of contents, functions and media. The value of olympic record could be explained to use for the business purpose, the evidential value, and the knowledge infonnational value compared to the other record. Secondly, the shape of existence of Seoul Olympic Games record has been found archives, manuscripts in the origin point of view, characteristic function record, maintenance function record in the contents point of view, analog record, digital record and figure record in the media point of view. These characteristics of Seoul Olympic Games record could have possibility to be applied by the record science theory in the record management process in acquisition, Preservation and use. In conclusion, the efficient management method of Seoul Olympic Games record should be based on the wide understanding of the feature and the value of Olympic record, furthermore it should be considered the whole processes of record management by the proper application of record science theory.

        흉부외상 없이 발생한 흉부대동맥 절단증의 조기 진단 : 2례 보고 Two Cases Report

        Aortic transection or interruption is a rare condition which developed after an acute deceleration injury. Its occurrence depends on the location and direction of the force applied and is usually from motor vehicle accident or falling down. The exact incidence of aortic transection in trauma is not known but, when develops, only about 10-15% of the victims can survive and be transported to the hospital. Even in the survivors, majority of them will be fatal within a few days if a prompt diagnosis and surgical treatments are not made. Aggressive diagnostic work-up is recommended for the patients with high suspicious index, which would salvage the victims with this fatal condition. We report the experience of two cases of aortic transection or interruption following motor vehicle accidents.

      • 급성 및 만성 간질환에서 C형 간염바이러스 항체(anti-HCV)양성률

        The prevalence of antibody against hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) was investigated in 331 patients with various liver diseases from April 1992 to September 1992. The presence of anti-HCV was detected by Lucky HCD EIA test in 331 cases and by (Ortho HCV Antibody ELISA test 148 patients) The results are summarized as follows: 1. Overall, antibody to HCV(anti-HCV) was positive in 37(11%) of 331 patients with various liver diseases. 2. 16(11%) of 144 patients with chronic hepatitis, 2(5%) of 37 patients with alcoholic liver disease, 17(22%) of 76 patients with liver cirrhosis and 2(5%) of 38 HBsAg carriers were positive for anti-HCV.None of 12 patients with acute hepatitis, 11 patients with drug induced hepatitis and 13 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma was anti-HCV positive. 3. HBsAg positivity in patients who had anti-HCV was 24%(9/37). 4. A positive correlation was found between Lucky HCD and Ortho HCV test. Of 128 Lucky HCD negative cases, 124 cases were negative for Ortho HCV ELISA and 4 cases were positive for Ortho HCV ELISA Of 20 Lucky HCD positive cases, 11 cases were positive for Ortho HCV ELISA and 9 cases were negative for Ortho HCV ELISA. These results suggest that hepatitis C virus has an important etiologic role in HBsAg negative chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis in Korea. The diagnostic value of Lucky HCD EIA test may be slightly better or equivalent to Ortho HCV ELISA test in the diagnosis of Hepatitis C virus infection.

      • 기니이픽 장관의 c-Kit 및 NK 1R 면역반응 세포구조에 대한 공초점 주사현미경적 연구

        Background and Objectives: Immunolabelling of interstitial Cajal(IC) cells in the intestinal wall has recently been developed by using a specific marker, the anti-c-Kit antibody. Substance-P is a well-known neurotransmitter in the gastro-intestinal tract. Since the gastro-intestinal wall structures have already been well documented in the guinea pig, immunohistochemistry was done for the c-Kit-positive IC network and substance-P receptor(NK1R) in an attempt to provide a morphological basis for the mechanism regulating gastro-intestinal movement. Materials and Methods: Cryosection and whole-mount preparations of guinea pig small intestine and colon were single and double immunolabelled using the anti-c-Kit and NK1R antibodies. Immunolabelled specimens were observed under a confocal laser scanning microscope. Results : According to a three dimensional reconstruction study, it was found that (1) the c-Kit-positive celluar networks were widely distributed in the intestinal wall, (2) c-Kit-positive celluar networks encircled the ganlion, with strands in reticular configurations, and (3) the c-Kit-positive cells showed colocalization with NK1R in circular muscle(CM), not myenteric plexus(MY). Conclusion: The charateristic profiles of IC containing c-Kit-positive celluar networks and the relationship between c-Kit-positive and NK1R-positive structures provide a morphological basis upon the mechanism regulating gastro-intestinal motility.

      • 형질전환 제초제저항성 벼 밀양 204호의 농업적 특성

        This study was conducted to investigated the major characteristics of genetically modified rice of "Milyang 204" originated from Dongjinbyeo compared to a non-transgenic rice varieties Dongjinbyeo and Junambyeo. Basta resistant transgenic rice lines carrying bar gene produced by the Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute were evaluated for their agronomic characters. The transgenic Japonica rice of "Milyang 204" showed inferior phenotypic traits compared to a non-transgenic rice variety Dongjinbyeo and Junambyeo. On the basis of UPOV (Union Internationale Pour la Protaection des Obtentions Vegetables) and NSMO(National Seed Management Office) the transgenic "Milyang 204" showed difference in some traits out of some agronomic traits, such as leaf color, angle of flag leaf, number of spikelets, culm length, white core and white belly compared to the nontransgenic varieties rice.

        밀양 204호는 작물과학원 영남농업연구소 생명공학연구팀이 직파적응 제초제저항성 벼 품종을 육성할 목적으로 '98년 bar 유전자를 동진벼에 아그로박테리움법으로 형질 전환하여 제초제저항성 벼를 양성하였다. '98/'99년 동계에 단간 내도복 양질인 주남벼를 인공교배하여 약배양 등 육종프로그램에 적용하여 우량계통을 선발하고 밀양 204호로 계통명을 부여하였다. GM 벼와 Non-GM 벼의 농업적 특성을 UPOV 및 국립종자관리소의 품종등록 기준에 따른 농업적특성 중 차이가 있었던 것은 엽색도, 지엽의 형태, 간장, 수당립수 등 이었다.       • Electrical Characteristics of the Concentric-Shape Carbon Nanotube Network Device in pH Buffer Solution

        <P>A carbon nanotube network device having concentric-shaped electrodes (source and drain) is analyzed to examine the 'self-gating' effect of various pH buffer solutions on its electrical properties. Using the 2-D homogeneous percolation theory, current-voltage characteristics of the devices are described as the classical MOSFET formula, in which the device is modeled as the p-type transistor with positive threshold voltage and the gate is tied with the drain (at positive bias) or source (at negative bias). To determine the apparent threshold voltage change due to the corresponding pH value, the ∂V<SUB>D</SUB>/∂I<SUB>D</SUB> (V<SUB>D</SUB>:drain voltage; I<SUB>D</SUB>:drain current) curve is extracted from the measured current-voltage characteristics to find V<SUB>D</SUB>_SAT(= -V<SUB>TH</SUB>, V<SUB>QS</SUB> = 0). A threshold voltage shift according to the pH value is observed without an external gate electrode, showing the possibility of relaxing the requirement of the external gate electrode. By grafting protonation/deprotonation which occurs in the carboxylated single-walled carbon nanotubes, the decaying current as pH increases is explained. Better sensitivity according to the operation regime is examined by the device modeling.</P>
