        The Multiple Hypotheses Tracking (MHT) algorithm has been shown to be one of the most cost- effective estimation schemes for hybrid systems. Its performance, however, could only evaluated via expensive Monte-Carlo simulations. An effective hybrid approach to the performance evaluation without recourse to simulations is presented here. This approach is based on a scenario-conditional performance measure of hybrid nature in the sense that it is a continuous-valued function of a discrete-valued random sequence. The performance measure is calculated efficiently in an off-line recursion.

      • 스피커 특성 및 오차경로의 온라인 인식을 이용한 새로운 적응 능동소음제어

        In active noise control system, the error path transfer function is much more likely to change rapidly due to in temperature or flow rate. The loudspeaker response also changes due to aging and the other factors. Therefore, an improved solution to obtaining both the loudspeaker and the error path transfer functions on an on-line basis is required. In this paper, a new filtered-X least mean square(LMS) algorithm considering the loudspeaker and the error path characteristics is proposed for active noise control system. The transfer functions of the loudspeaker and the error path are obtained by an adaptively estimated error signal and the error path output signal on an on-line basis. In the computer simulation using the sinusoidal and the practical duct noise, the proposed algorithm reduces noise level about 29.1dB and 10.4dB, respectively. We observed an improvement of about 2.5dB in noise level compared with that obtained using the Eriksson's filtered-X LMS algorithm.

        김치유래 젖산균의 균체지방산 분석을 이용한 분류학적 연구

        표준균주를 포함한 230여개의 김치유래 젖산균에 대한 균체지방산(FAMEs)을 분석하였다. FAMEs profiles는 Euclidian Distance 17.5에 의해 7개의 Major Cluster와 1개의 Single Cluster로 나뉘어졌다. 이중 A, B, C 및 Cluster는 Leuconostoc속으로 분석되어졌고, F는 Lactobacillus속으로 분석되어졌다. 그리고 E와 G cluster는 두개의 Genus가 혼재되어 나타났으며 보충적인 연구가 필요하다. 앞으로 김치유래 젖산균의 균체지방산 분석결과를 기반으로 한 데이타베이스에 95가지 탄소원을 이용하는 수치분류학적 접근방법 및 Pyrolysis Mass Spectrometry 등의 화학적 분석 방법과 분자친화적 연구를 통한 종합적 분류정보 체계가 갖추어지면 젖산균의 신속, 정확한 동정 및 연구에 활발히 이용되어질 것이다. Two hundreds and thirty lactic acid bacteria, mostly isolated from Kimchi, including type strains were sued for analysis of cellular fatty acids. The 230 test strains were recoverd in 7 major and 1 single clusters defined a Euclidian distance of 17.5. These aggregate taxa were equivalent to the genus Leuconostoc (aggregate group A, B, C and D), and the genera Leuconostoc and Lactobacillus (aggregate group G). It is concluded as evident that FAMEs (Fatty Acid Methyl Esters) profile of cell can be used as a criterion in classification of lactic acid bacterial from kimchi. Additional comparative taxonomic studies need to be carried out on well chosen representative strains to determine the most appropriate methods of value.

        In this paper, we present a compensation method of contrast loss in highly bright region by CPT beam profile. In the proposed method, the local difference signal for the compensation is transformed according to the local mean of luminance. In computer simulation, clear image is obtained by the compensation of contrast loss in highly bright region.

      • HY-SPLIT 모형을 이용한 오염물질의 장거리 이동 추적

        Due to the rapid economic development for the last 20 years, Asian countries' fuel consumption has doubled twice every twelve years. Also, serious environmental problems, especially air pollution, have followed rapid urbanization and development in Northeast Asia, where Korea is located. The pattern of long range transport of air pollutants was investigated in the Northeast Asia region. The focus of this study was the impact of air pollutants from China on the air quality of Korea. From the meteorological data from the 1st to the 5th of January 1995, the backward and forward trajectories were calculated using the Hybrid model 'HY-SPLIT', and the contributions of air pollutants from cities of China to the air quality in Korea were analyzed. It was concluded that the air pollutants from China could have a great influence on the air quality in Korea. The trajectories showed that the air pollutants from Beijing and Jinan, Shandong Province, the most heavily industrialized areas in China, could be influenced strongly to the air quality in Korea.

      • 부산지역 규제 대기오염물질에 관한 연구

        In this study, it was carried out to investigate the situation by using monitoring network data for last ten years and regulatory air pollutants data which was sampled and analyed in Pusan. East area was developed as commercial and residental district along the seaside while an representative industrial complex was located in west area. The places in which air sampling were accompanied were divided to two different points : symbolic and worst point. The regulatory air pollutants were sampled seasonally from April to November, 1996 and temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction and atmospheric air pressure to obtain weather conditions were also investigated. The time-average pollution index were calculated for each air pollutants to check changing pollution concentration in each hours a day.

        In this paper, we propose a bidirectional mobile Ad Hoc routing protocol based on AODV(ad-hoc on-demand distance vector routing) with QoS(quality of service) support. At presence, wireless mobile communication focuses on how to efficiently support mobility of users more than QoS guarantee. However, in order to satisfy requirement of various applications which have been or will be served, QoS guarantee between end points is a very important issue. The existing AODV routing protocol is implemented to use only BE (Best Effort) service. However, actual wireless mobile environment requires to reduce a waste of communication resources and meet with the real-time change of data paths by setting up routes with QoS support, considering available communication resources at each node in advance. Therefore, in this thesis, we propose an adaptive QoS support method using hello message in order to rapidly meet with the change of available communication resources and to smoothly perform route maintenance. For performance evaluation, we analyzed the average data reception rate. At that time, we used evaluation parameters such as node's mobility-stop time, hello message period, and packet priority, considering the node's mobility and the number of best effort/QoS data flows. As results, we found that with our proposed method the average data reception rate was increased 16.293%, 15.914%, 17.238% for 300 mobility-stop second case and 4.809%, 4.264%, 2.956% for 300 mobility-stop second case.

      • Silent Discharge와 TiO₂광촉매 산화반응을 이용한 VOCs 처리

        This study has been carried out for evaluation of VOCs treatment let out at the industrial field using a silent discharge process through process approvement and TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation. And it was presented experimental results on the silent discharge plasma and TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation processes at atmospheric pressure gas streams containing diluted concentrations of benzene, toluene, and xylene out of VOCs. It has shown that each concentration, background gas, flowrate, and applied power have effected on three materials decomposition and byproduct distribution. Analyses of benzene, toluene, xylene and byproduct concentration was carried out by GC-FID.

      • 가우시안 빔 프로파일의 CPT를 위한 비선형 주사속도변조

        A scan velocity modulation(SVM) technique has been widely used for compensating the deterioration of picture quality due to the beam profile effect of the color picture tube(CPT). In conventional SVM system the so-called linear SVM method has been employed, whose modulation velocity is linearly proportional to the variation in the video signal amplitude. However, the effect of picture quality improvement is irregular with video signal amplitude in the linear SVM. In this paper we report a theoretical analysis of the SVM effect on the spatial brightness distribution of CPT according to the variations in luminance signal amplitude and differentiation circuit characteristic. We also propose a nonlinear SVM method based on the results of the theoretical analysis for optimum picture quality improvements. In computer simulation we confirmed uniform improvements in picture quality by the SVM of nonlinear amplitude transfer characteristic.

      • 저전압/고용량 DRAM 회로를 위한 Half-VDD 전압 발생기 설계

        A half-VDD voltage generator(VHDD) using PMOS pull-up and NMOS pull-down transistors, and each of the gate voltage is able to swing at CMOS voltage level was newly proposed. Designed with these, pull-up current was made to be proportional to (VDD-|V_(TP)|)^2 and pull-down current was made to be proportional to (VDD-|V_(TN)|)^2. Also, being turned on pull-up and pull-down transistors at the same time was prevented by using short-circuit current protection circuit. Test chips which were designed by using 0.35μm CMOS twin-well process technology were fabricated and the result of measurement was suitable for low-boltage DRAMs.
