        다문화 청소년의 한국어 능력, 자아존중감, 어머니의 한국어 능력, 교우관계 간의 종단적 상호 인과관계

        This study analyzed the longitudinal causal relationships among four variables in multicultural adolescents: Korean proficiency, self-esteem, mother’s Korean proficiency, and peer relationship. To achieve this, the study tested the self-regression cross-delay model using data from the first year (2011) to the fifth year (2015) of the Multicultural Youth Panel Survey (MAPS). The primary results are as follows. First, it was confirmed that previous data stably predicted subsequent data in the Korean language ability, self-esteem, mother's Korean language ability, and peer relationship of multicultural adolescents. Second, the study confirmed the longitudinal reciprocal causal relations between multicultural adolescents’ Korean proficiency and peer relationship as well as between self-esteem and peer relationship. These relationships were found to grow together through reciprocal positive effects. Additionally, the study found that self-esteem indirectly affected the Korean language ability of multicultural adolescents. Specifically, self-esteem at the n time-point positively affected Korean ability at the n+2 time-point through the mediation of peer relationship at the n+1. Finally, the study showed that there was a one-way causal relationship between the mother's Korean language ability and the Korean language ability of multicultural adolescents. This indicated that the mother's Korean language ability at the previous time-point positively affected the Korean language ability of multicultural adolescents at the next time-point. Based on these results, the study provided some implications and suggestions for follow-up studies. Educational Impact and Implications : Since peer relationship plays a crucial role in promoting Korean language ability among multicultural adolescents, educational support should be provided in order to enhance peer awareness toward multicultural adolescents and to build positive peer relationship. Considering that the Korean language proficiency of multicultural adolescents plays a crucial role in developing positive peer relationship, we should pay attention to foreign mothers’ Korean language ability which affects the Korean language ability of multicultural adolescents. This suggests the necessity of systematic policy and support for mothers in multicultural families.

        자녀 학교생활 중개인(broker)으로서의 다문화가정 어머니 역할에 대한 검토 -다문화가정 어머니의 자녀 학교생활 참여가 자녀 학습활동, 어머니 한국어능력, 어머니 건강에 미치는 영향을 중심으로-

        The purpose of this study to examine how participation in children’s school life of multi-cultural mothers affects their children’s learning activities and mother’s psychological and physical health when they are mediated by mother’s Korean language proficiency levels. To carry out this, the sixth survey data of the Youth Panel of Multi-cultural Families by the Korea Youth Policy Institute was used. The results of this study are as follows. First, it has been confirmed that participation in children’s school lifes of multi-cultural mothers has a direct positive effect on their children’s learning activities. Second, it was confirmed that the participation had a direct negative effect on the psychological and physical health of mothers. Third, the participation was found to have a direct positive effect on the level of mothers’ Korean language proficiency. Fourth, it was found that the participation had a positive effect on their children’s school life when they mediated the level of their Korean language ability. Fifth, the participation has a positive effect on the psychological and physical health of mothers when mediating on their Korean language proficiency level. Based on this, it proposed ways to improve the learning activities of multi-cultural youths and the mental and physical health of their mothers.

        다문화가정 유아의 개인적, 사회·문화적 환경 변인에 따른 국악능력의 특성 분석

        본 연구에서는 다문화가정 유아의 개인적 변인과 사회·문화적 환경 변인에 따른 국악능력의 특성이 어떠하며, 제 변인의 영향력은 각각 어떠한지를 살펴봄으로써 다문화가정 유아의 국악능력 발달을 도모하기 위한 실천방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 다문화가정 유아의 국악능력은 연령과 국악학습 기간, 가정의 국악환경과 어머니의 한국어 구사능력에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 다문화가정 유아의 국악능력에 대한 상대적인 영향력은 가정의 국악환경, 국악학습 기간, 어머니의 한국어 구사능력, 유아의 연령순으로 나타났다. 따라서 다문화가정 유아의 국악능력의 발달을 지원하기 위해서는 다문화가정 어머니를 포함한 부모의 국악교육에 대한 인식을 긍정적으로 변화시켜 가정 내 국악환경을 점진적으로 개선 해나갈 필요가 있으며, 국악학습의 질적인 향상 및 경험의 지속성을 함께 고려해야 하며, 다문화가정 유아의 국악능력에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 어머니의 한국어 구사능력의 발전을 동시에 지원할 필요가 있음을 논의하였다. This study purposed to examine children's characteristics of musical abilities about Korean traditional from multicultural family according to personal and socio-cultural variables. It also aimed to analyze the effect of each variable on the characteristics and provide basic materials for Korean traditional music education to children from multicultural families. According to the results of this study, children's musical abilities for Korean traditional music from multicultural family were different according to their age, periods of Korean traditional music learning, home environment for Korean traditional music, and mother's Korean proficiency. Moreover, the effect of each variable on children's musical abilities from multicultural family for orean traditional music was high in order of home environment for Korean traditional music, period of Korean traditional music learning, mother's Korean proficiency, and child's age. Accordingly, in order to develop children's musical abilities for Korean traditional music, it is necessary to improve home environment for Korean traditional music gradually through changing the perception of Korean traditional music education by including multicultural family parents such as mothers. It is also needed to enhance the quality of Korean traditional music learning and the continuity of experiences in Korean traditional music and promote mother's Korean proficiency as a potential variable for influencing on their children's musical abilities for Korean traditional music.
