        교육대학생의 열과 온도에 대한 오개념과 이상조건 이해의 관계

        Many idealizations and ideal conditions in physics have been an important role in understanding of the basic physics concepts and in solving physics problems. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships of pre-service teachers` misconception of heat with their understanding of the ideal conditions involved in solving problems of heat and temperature. Test instruments were composed of two parts. One part was asked to answer the heat conceptions, the other to write statements in relations to ideal condition hidden in the process of heat problems solving. For this study, pre-service teachers who are in four major courses in the University of Education in a local city were selected and total numbers of pre-service teachers were 108 students. The framework was developed for classifying pre-service teachers response of open items of ideal conditions of heat domains. According to the framework, each types of response were coded, analyzed and processed with a SPSS/PC program. The results are as the followings. In the heat conceptions, most of students showed correct response, and there was no significant differences between major courses. In understanding of ideal conditions, students` responses of idealized condition relevant to problem showed 65.2% of them, and not relevant idealized conditions 15.5%, and no response 12.2%. In the 15.5% of students not relevant idealized conditions, 10.5% of them did not explained correctly conditions, just simply 2.7% stated the laws in physics or formula, 1.6% generally, but irrelevantly described the idealized conditions. More importantly pre-service teachers showed very weak correlation between heat conception and understanding of ideal condition. Although we concluded there were no significant relationships of heat conception in understanding of ideal conditions in thermodynamics domain, these suggest that many other factors may influence understanding of ideal conditions in physics.

        Free vibration analysis of beams with non-ideal clamped boundary conditions

        A non-ideal boundary condition is modeled as a linear combination of the ideal simply supported and the ideal clamped boundary conditions with the weighting factors k and 1-k, respectively. The proposed non-ideal boundary model is applied to the free vibration analyses of Euler-Bernoulli beam and Timoshenko beam. The free vibration analysis of the Euler-Bernoulli beam is carried out analyti-cally, and the pseudospectral method is employed to accommodate the non-ideal boundary conditions in the analysis of the free vibration of Timoshenko beam. For the free vibration with the non-ideal boundary condition at one end and the free boundary condition at the other end, the natural frequencies of the beam decrease as k increases. The free vibration where both the ends of a beam are restrained by the non-ideal boundary conditions is also considered. It is found that when the non-ideal boundary conditions are close to the ideal clamped boundary conditions the natural frequencies are reduced noticeably as k increases. When the non-ideal boundary conditions are close to the ideal simply supported boundary conditions, however, the natural frequencies hardly change as k varies, which indicate that the proposed boundary condition model is more suitable to the non-ideal boundary condition close to the ideal clamped boundary condition.

        이상화(idealization)에 관한 물리교사들의 인식

        이상조건에 대한 이해는 물리학습능력 뿐 아니라 평가 문제 해결에서도 중요하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 교사와 학생들은 그 중요성을 인식하지 못하고 있으며, 이상화에 대한 국내외 선행 연구도 거의 없었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 물리학습에서의 이상화의 중요성을 강조하기 위해 고등학교 물리교사 10명을 대상으로 일대일 면담을 통해 이상화에 대한 인식을 심층적으로 탐색하였다. 본 연구에서는 교사들의 일대일면담 결과를 통해 교사들의 이상화에 대한 이해와 그와 관련된 수업전략을 알 수 있었다. 교사들은 이상화라는 용어 자체는 잘 알지 못했지만, 이상화와 이상조건에 대한 개념을 이해하고 있었으며 과학 수업에서 이상화와 이상조건에 대해 명시적으로 언급해야 할 필요성에 대해서도 인식하고 있었다. 또한 때때로 교사들은 이론수업, 실험수업, 평가수업에서 이상화를 제시하거나 응용하여 수업 전략을 사용하고 있었다. 본 연구는 이상화에 대한 교사들의 이해 수준을 높일 수 있는 방안과 후속 연구에 대한 제언하고, 이상화에 대한 교사 교육과 수업 전략 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. The purposes of this study were to understand what is physics teachers` perceptions of idealization and to explore their teaching experiences about idealization in their physics classes. In order to achieve these research purpose, we conducted in-depth interviews with ten Korean physics teachers. The interview data was transcribed and analyzed interpretively. The results are as follows: (1) Physics teachers are not familiar with the term of ``idealization`` but they understand the meaning of idealization and ideal condition. (2) Physics teachers understand the necessity of explicit mentions of idealization and ideal conditions in physics classes. (3) Physic teachers adapt conceptions of idealization and ideal condition into their lectures, experimental classes and evaluation strategies. Thus, the results of this study can provide theocratical understanding of idealization. It will help develop teacher education programs and physics teaching strategies. This research also suggested follow-up research questions about idealization in the physics education field.

        입자 중심의 이상화 방식 유형 분류

        화학 전공 연구원들이 화학적 현상을 설명하는 과정을 분석하여, 이상화의 대상이 되는 입자의 요소와 입자 중심의 이상화 방식을 분류하였다. 확산과 용해의 구분, 삼투압과 이상기체 상태방정식의 유사성, 라울의 법칙에서 사용하는 가정, 확산과 분출 속도식의 유사성, 오스트발트의 묽힘 법칙과 식의 의미 등 5개의 질문으로 일대일 면담을 하였다. 그들은 입자의 수량, 입자의 운동, 입자 간 상호작용을 대상으로 정하여 이상화하였다. 이상화의 대상이 된 입자의 세 가지 요소를 기준으로 이상화 방법을 범주화한 결과, 그들은 균질화, 무시, 한정, 극한의 네 가지 방식으로 입자의 요소들 이상화하였다. 화학 연구원들의 이상화 전략을 학교 현장에 적용함으로써 학생들의 이상화 능력을 촉진할 수 있음을 제언하였다. The object of the particles for idealization and types of idealization methods were classified by analyzing the explanations provided by chemistry researchers regarding chemical phenomena. One-on-one interviews was conducted, consisting of five questions pertaining to: the differentiation between diffusion and dissolution, the similarity between the osmotic pressure equation and the ideal gas law, the assumptions underlying Raoult's law, the correlation between diffusion and effusion rate equations, and the interpretation of Ostwald's dilution law. The findings revealed that researchers commonly employed three primary entities for the process of idealization: the quantity of particles, the motion of particles, and the interactions among particles. Furthermore, when classifying types of idealization methods based on these three entities, it became evident that four principal idealization methods were typically employed: homogenizing, ignoring, finite, and infinite. It was suggested that the idealization strategies employed by chemistry researchers could potentially be applied in education to assist students in improving their ability to engage in the process of idealization.

        피란델로 사회신화극 <신식민지>에 나타난 `섬`의 공간 메타포 -인간의 존재론적 상황과 유토피아적 이상의`영원한 반복성`-

        This study aims to examine the spatial metaphor of `Island` in the socio-mythological drama, The New Colony. Especially, many critics pointed out two different aspects about `Island`, and this study considered them in detail through the text. The first one was that the space of `Island` seen by the characters before arriving on the island was a metaphor for `Utopian Ideal`. The second one was that as the drama progressed, the space of `Island` newly settled down by the characters was nothing but another new colony, that is, a metaphor for `Human Beings` Ontological Condition`. The researcher has the same opinions as these two aspects. However, the third one was that after all the other characters sunk deep into the sea, La Spera and her son dramatically survived, and the researcher has a different opinion from the existing views on this last epilogue scene. The existing views are approximately divided into two kinds. One is that because of her pure motherhood, La Spera and her son were compensated by nature, which shows an expectation for an utopian hope. The other is that not a settlement with human beings and social power but a deus-ex-machina conclusion shows human beings` tragic condition that no one can avoid. However, the researcher interpreted the two spacial aspects of `Island`, `Human Beings` Ontological Condition` and `Utopian Idea`, as a metaphor for `Eternal Repeatability` of these two aspects. The repeatability of life is eternal. Whether to get locked in a tragic ontological condition or put constant effort in hope of a better and utopian world will be decided by individual human beings. The consequences are not assured. No matter if such a tragic condition or a hope is chosen, each chooser`s journey will have different colors every moment, and such a process will repeat forever. The researcher sees that although the social myth of Pirandello well expresses human beings` repetitive journey of life that they cannot and won`t give up hopes, although they are in such a tragic ontological condition. Moreover, as Sinicropi once mentioned that `the leap into an irrational area of myth does not have to derive from a sense of renunciation, but one of achievement, of necessary completition of the artist`s aspiration`, the researcher also sees that the irrational ending of `Island` seen in the social myth, The New Colony, does not always show only human beings` failures under a tragic ontological condition, a consolation for them or a vague and contrived hope. In other words, it is considered that beside such a tragic ontological condition, the island provides human beings with another ontological condition where they can expect and repeat their attempts, and this repeatability itself can be an opportunity of choice, further being a new hope in the end.

        Composite Hurwitz Rings Satisfying the Ascending Chain Condition on Principal Ideals

        Let $D{\subseteq}E$ be an extension of integral domains with characteristic zero, I be a nonzero proper ideal of D and let H(D, E) and H(D, I) (resp., h(D, E) and h(D, I)) be composite Hurwitz series rings (resp., composite Hurwitz polynomial rings). In this paper, we show that H(D, E) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals if and only if h(D, E) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals, if and only if ${\bigcap}_{n{\geq}1}a_1{\cdots}a_nE=(0)$ for each infinite sequence $(a_n)_{n{\geq}1}$ consisting of nonzero nonunits of We also prove that H(D, I) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals if and only if h(D, I) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals, if and only if D satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals.

        “境由型生”-視覺傳達設計的本土化意境表達

        The diversified characteristics of visual communication design put more emphasis on embodying the regional culture and the spirit of the age. Being simple and pure, it conveys feelings and ideas from its modelling. Multielement is good, what is more, difference is rare. Today, with the vigorous promotion of diversity and compatibility, it is essential for us to carry forward the precious fine tradition of unique of all nationalities. Ideal condition that has been regarded as the highest aesthetic pursuit by artists, is a core of Chinese traditional aesthetics and artistic creation. The native expression of ideal condition-"ideal condition develops from modelling" then is a discriminative and distinct native cultural endurance of visual communication design of the day and an important way to promote the sustainable development of design culture. 視覺傳達設計的多元化構成特徵,更多的體現了區域文化和時代精神,視覺傳達設計簡單純粹,是通過造型傳情達意的設計藝術形式。美在多元、貴在差異,在呼喚多樣性和相容性、共生性的今天,各民族獨特的優秀傳統彌足珍貴,更需要我們發揚光大。意境是中國傳統美學和藝術創作的一個核心問題,被藝術家視為最高的美學追求,“境由型生”的本土化意境表達,是視覺藝術由形式美上升為精神美的昇華和飛躍,是當代視覺傳達設計體現區別於他者的、獨特的本土文化承擔,這也是推動設計文化可持續發展的重要途徑。

        Free vibration analysis of Euler-Bernoulli beams with non-ideal clamped boundary conditions by using Padé approximation

        Using the non-ideal boundary condition model, which is a linear combination of ideal simply supported and ideal clamped boundary conditions, the equation governing the free vibration of Euler-Bernoulli beams produces nonlinear rational functions that relate natural frequencies with the weighting factors of the non-ideal boundary condition model. The natural frequencies in practice are numerically computed by using a standard root-finding method with suitable initial guesses. In the present study, the nonlinear rational functions are approximated using Padé approximants to get analytical formulations of natural frequencies as functions of the weighting factors. Numerical examples are provided for cantilever and beams clamped at both ends with non-ideal boundary conditions. The formulas in most cases are accurate enough to get the natural frequencies up to two-digit accuracy. Those approximations can be easily utilized as starting values in the root finding method to avoid ambiguities in selecting initial guesses.

        단진자의 등시성에 대한 8학년 과학교과서 분석 및 사이클로이드 진자의 활용방안에 관한 연구

        We investigate 8th-grade science textbooks and their instructor's manuals treating the ideal condition for isochronism of a simple pendulum. Isochronism, i.e., the period is independent of the amplitude, is satisfied only if the amplitude is very small. This is the so-called ``ideal condition'' for isochronism of a simple pendulum. Most textbooks and instructor's manuals are found not to state this ideal condition properly, which often leads the deviations between experimental data and theoretical calculations. This difference between theoretical and experimental results cause students to create a sense of alienation from the real world and eventually keeps them away from physics. We, thus, study the cycloidal pendulum as an alternative method to test isochronism regardless of amplitude and discuss its practical utility of it in class. 본 연구에서는 단진자의 등시성에 대한 이상화 조건을 다루는 8학년 과학교과서와 교사용 지도서를 분석하였다. 진자의 주기는 진폭에 무관하다는 등시성은 진폭이 매우 작은 경우에만 성립한다. 이를 단진자의 등시성에 대한 ``이상화 조건''이라 부른다. 대부분의 8학년 과학교과서와 교사용 지도서는 이러한 이상화 조건에 대해 바르게 명시하지 않아 종종 이론과 실험 사이의 불일치를 나타내고 있다. 이러한 이론과 실험 사이의 불일치는 학생들로 하여금 실제 세계로부터 괴리감을 느끼게 하여 물리로부터 멀어지게 하는 경향을 가져다준다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 진폭에 무관한 진자의 등시성을 실험할 수 있는 대안으로 사이클로이드 진자를 제시하고 교실 수업에서 실제 활용할 수 있는 방법에 대해 논의 하였다.
