The effect of Al content on the microstructure and ductile-brittle transition temperature (DBTT) of 18Cr–Al–Si ferritic heatresistantstainless steel have been studied by Charpy impact testing over temperatures ranging from 20 to 90 ℃. Charpy impacttest results show that DBTT increased with increasing Al content. Meanwhile, fracture morphology changed with increasingAl content, where the amount of dimples decreased and cleavage facets increased, indicating increases in the tendency forbrittle fracture. Furthermore, ferrite grain size, volume fraction and size of (Cr, Fe)23C6 carbides increased with increasingAl content, which led to decreasing toughness and increasing DBTT.

Hypoxia-induced microtubule disruption and mitochondrial permeability transition (mPT) are crucial events leading to fatal cell damage and recent studies showed that microtubules (MTs) are involved in the modulation of mitochondrial function. Dynein light chain Tctex-type 1 (DYNLT1) is thought to be associated with MTs and mitochondria. Previously we demonstrated that DYNLT1 knockdown aggravates hypoxia-induced mitochondrial permeabilization, which indicates a role of DYNLT1 in hypoxic cytoprotection. But the underlying regulatory mechanism of DYNLT1 remains illusive. Here we aimed to investigate the phosphorylation alteration of DYNLT1 at serine 82 (S82) in hypoxia (1% O2). We therefore constructed recombinant adenoviruses to generate S82E and S82A mutants, used to transfect H9c2 and HeLa cell lines. Development of hypoxia-induced mPT (MMP examining, Cyt c release and mPT pore opening assay), hypoxic energy metabolism (cellular viability and ATP quantification), and stability of MTs were examined. Our results showed that phosph-S82 (S82-P) expression was increased in early hypoxia; S82E mutation (phosphomimic) aggravated mitochondrial damage, ele-vated the free tubulin in cytoplasm and decreased the cellular viability; S82A mutation (dephosphomimic) seemed to diminish the hypoxia-induced injury. These data suggest that DYNLT1 phosphorylation at S82 is involved in MTs and mitochondria regulation, and their interaction and cooperation contribute to the cellular hypoxic tolerance. Thus, we provide new insights into a DYNLT1 mechanism in stabilizing MTs and mitochondria, and propose a potential therapeutic target for hypoxia cytoprotective studies.
Cross-Layer Resource Allocation in Multi-interface Multi-channel Wireless Multi-hop Networks
Wei Feng,Suili Feng,Yongzhong Zhang3,Xiaowei Xia 한국전자통신연구원 2014 ETRI Journal Vol.36 No.6
In this paper, an analytical framework is proposed forthe optimization of network performance through jointcongestion control, channel allocation, rate allocation, power control, scheduling, and routing with theconsideration of fairness in multi-channel wireless multihopnetworks. More specifically, the framework modelsthe network by a generalized network utilitymaximization (NUM) problem under an elastic link datarate and power constraints. Using the dual decompositiontechnique, the NUM problem is decomposed into foursubproblems — flow control; next-hop routing; rateallocation and scheduling; power control; and channelallocation — and finally solved by a low-complexitydistributed method. Simulation results show that theproposed distributed algorithm significantly improves thenetwork throughput and energy efficiency compared withprevious algorithms.
An integrated method of flammable cloud size prediction for offshore platforms
Zhang Bin,Zhang Jinnan,Yu Jiahang,Wang Boqiao,Li Zhuoran,Xia Yuanchen,Chen Li 대한조선학회 2021 International Journal of Naval Architecture and Oc Vol.13 No.1
Response Surface Method (RSM) has been widely used for flammable cloud size prediction as it can reduce computational intensity for further Explosion Risk Analysis (ERA) especially during the early design phase of offshore platforms. However, RSM encounters the overfitting problem under very limited simulations. In order to overcome the disadvantage of RSM, Bayesian Regularization Artificial Neural (BRANN)-based model has been recently developed and its robustness and efficiency have been widely verified. However, for ERA during the early design phase, there seems to be room to further reduce the computational intensity while ensuring the model's acceptable accuracy. This study aims to develop an integrated method, namely the combination of Center Composite Design (CCD) method with Bayesian Regularization Artificial Neural Network (BRANN), for flammable cloud size prediction. A case study with constant and transient leakages is conducted to illustrate the feasibility and advantage of this hybrid method. Additionally, the performance of CCD-BRANN is compared with that of RSM. It is concluded that the newly developed hybrid method is more robust and computational efficient for ERAs during early design phase.

In modern diet of human being, the ω-6/ω-3ratio of dietary fatty acid was shifted much towards ω-6series. In this work, a fatty acid desaturase (FAD) gene lkfad15 was cloned and identified from oleaginous yeast Lipomyces kononenkoae. Function analysis results shown that LKFAD15 is a novel Δ12/Δ15 bifunctional FAD which could not only produce linoleic acid and α-linolenic acid use just oleic acid as substrate but also adjust the ω-6/ω-3 fatty acids ratio to the WHO recommended ratio. Phylogenetic analysis of LKFAD15 suggested it is a specific intermediate product of gene evolution derives from independent gene duplication events.
PBoostGA: pseudo-boosting genetic algorithm for variable ranking and selection
Zhang, Chun-Xia,Zhang, Jiang-She,Kim, Sang-Woon Springer-Verlag 2016 COMPUTATIONAL STATISTICS Vol.31 No.4
<P>Variable selection has consistently been a hot topic in linear regression models, especially when facing with high-dimensional data. Variable ranking, an advanced form of selection, is actually more fundamental since selection can be realized by thresholding once the variables are ranked suitably. In recent years, ensemble learning has gained a significant interest in the context of variable selection due to its great potential to improve selection accuracy and to reduce the risk of falsely including some unimportant variables. Motivated by the widespread success of boosting algorithms, a novel ensemble method PBoostGA is developed in this paper to implement variable ranking and selection in linear regression models. In PBoostGA, a weight distribution is maintained over the training set and genetic algorithm is adopted as its base learner. Initially, equal weight is assigned to each instance. According to the weight updating and ensemble member generating mechanism like AdaBoost.RT, a series of slightly different importance measures are sequentially produced for each variable. Finally, the candidate variables are ordered in the light of the average importance measure and some significant variables are then selected by a thresholding rule. Both simulation results and a real data illustration show the effectiveness of PBoostGA in comparison with some existing counterparts. In particular, PBoostGA has stronger ability to exclude redundant variables.</P>
ON CONTINUOUS MODULE HOMOMORPHISMS BETWEEN RANDOM LOCALLY CONVEX MODULES
Zhang, Xia Korean Mathematical Society 2013 대한수학회지 Vol.50 No.5
Based on the four kinds of theoretical definitions of the continuous module homomorphism between random locally convex modules, we first show that among them there are only two essentially. Further, we prove that such two are identical if the family of $L^0$-seminorms for the former random locally convex module has the countable concatenation property, meantime we also provide a counterexample which shows that it is necessary to require the countable concatenation property.
