        IEM-based Tone Injection for Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction of Multi-carrier Modulation

        Tone Injection (TI) scheme significantly reduces the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of Multicarrier Modulation (MCM). However, the computational complexity of the TI scheme rises exponentially with the extra freedom constellation number. Therefore, a novel immune evolutionary mechanism-based TI scheme is proposed in this paper to reduce the computational complexity. By restraining undesirable degeneracy during the processing, this IEM scheme can dramatically increase the population fitness. Monte Carlo results show that proposed IEM-based TI scheme can achieve a significant PAPR and BER improvement with a low complexity.

        Promotional effects of Sm2O3 on Mn-H4SiW12O40/SiO2 catalyst for dimethyl ether direct-oxidation to dimethoxymethane

        The promotional effects of Sm2O3 on Mn-H4SiW12O40/SiO2 for dimethyl ether (DME) direct-oxidation to dimethoxymethane (DMM) were investigated. The results showed that Sm2O3 introduction could significantly improve the activity of Mn-H4SiW12O40/SiO2 for DMM formation, and DMM selectivity was remarkably increased from 36.3% to 60.3% when the Sm2O3 content was 1%. The catalysts were characterized by ICP-AES, XRD, NH3-TPD, Pyridine-IR and XPS. The Sm2O3 introduction enhanced the number of Lewis acid sites and weak acid sites and also increased the amount of Mn4+ species of Mn-H4SiW12O40/SiO2, which is favorable for the formation of DMM.

        Characterization and catalytic application of MnCl2 modified HZSM-5 zeolites in synthesis of aromatics from syngas via dimethyl ether

        The conversion of syngas to aromatics via dimethyl ether was investigated over MnCl2 modified HZSM-5zeolites. The results demonstrated that 2%MnCl2 modified HZSM-5 (SiO2/Al2O3 = 38) exhibited higher pxylene selectivity than other catalysts and further decreased 1,2,4,5-tetramethylbenzene selectivity. The CO conversion was obviously increased after 5%MnCl2 modification to HZSM-5. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, BET, XPS, FT-IR, NH3-TPD, SEM, element analysis and O2-TPO. The loading amount of MnCl2 affected the adsorption and reaction of DME molecules on zeolites. Appropriate amount of MnCl2 introduction could adjust the acidity and pore volume of HZSM-5 to increase p-xylene selectivity and CO conversion.

        si-Tgfbr1-loading liposomes inhibit shoulder capsule fibrosis via mimicking the protective function of exosomes from patients with adhesive capsulitis

        Background: Adhesive capsulitis is a common shoulder disorder inducing joint capsule fibrosis and pain. When combined with rotator cuff tear (RCT), treatments can be more complex. Currently, targeted therapy is lacking. Since adhesive capsulitis is reported to be related to circulating materials, we analyzed the contents and biology of circulating exosomes from RCT patients with and without adhesive capsulitis, in an attempt to developing a targeting treatment. Methods: Samples from a consecutive cohort of patients with RCT for surgery were collected. Circulating exosomal miRNAs sequencing were used to detect differentially expressed miRNAs in patients with and without adhesive capsulitis. For experiments in vitro, Brdu staining, CCK-8 assay, wound healing test, collagen contraction test, real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and western blot were conducted. Histological and immunofluorescent staining, and biomechanical analysis were applied in a mouse model of shoulder stiffness. The characteristics of liposomes loaded with siRNA were measured via dynamic light scattering or electron microscopy. Results: Circulating exosomal miRNAs sequencing showed that, compared to exosomes from patients without adhesive capsulitis, miR-142 was significantly up-regulated in exosomes from adhesive capsulitis (Exo-S). Both Exo-S and miR-142 could inhibit fibrogenesis, and the anti-fibrotic effect of Exo-S relied on miR-142. The target of miR-142 was proven to be transforming growth factor β receptor 1 (Tgfbr1). Then, liposomes were developed and loaded with si-Tgfbr1. The si-Tgfbr1-loading liposomes exhibited promising therapeutic effect against shoulder stiffness in mouse model with no evidence toxicity. Conclusion: This study showed that, in RCT patients with adhesive capsulitis, circulating exosomes are protective and have anti-fibrotic potential. This effect is related to the contained miR-142, which targets Tgfbr1. By mimicking this biological function, liposomes loaded with si-Tgfbr1 can mitigate shoulder stiffness pre-clinically

        Synthesis of light olefins from syngas over Fe–Mn–V–K catalysts in the slurry phase

        Fe–Mn–V–K catalysts for the synthesis of light olefins from CO hydrogenation were prepared by a specially controlled degradation method. The effect of the V content on the structure and the catalytic performance of the catalysts were investigated in a continuously stirred tank slurry reactor. Mo¨ssbauer spectra (MES) results show that the incorporation of V with appropriate contents can improve the dispersion of the a-Fe2O3 phase. CO hydrogenation results indicate that a small addition of V can improve the product distribution. The addition can also increase the selectivity to light olefins by inhibiting the secondary hydrogenation reaction of the initial olefin. The best catalytic performance was obtained at the Fe/Mn/V molar ratio of 3/1/0.2. The total C2–C4 content in all hydrocarbons and O/P in the C2–C4 fraction were 49.15 wt% and 3.95, respectively.

        Mesoscale Deformation Incompatibility Analysis of DP1180 Steel

        Advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) is of great technological interest in automotive lightweight applications. The dualphase (DP) steel with a higher volume fraction of martensite has been rarely studied. In this work, the micromechanical deformation incompatibility of DP1180 steel was analyzed by a microstructure-based representative volume element (RVE) model. Via the electron-backscattered diffraction (EBSD) and the open-source software DREAM.3D, the statistically real microstructure-based RVE model was established. The flow curve of ferrite was obtained by the dislocation-based method. And the flow curve of martensite was obtained by the isostrain method (ISM) and the non-isostrain method (NISM). The simulation results showed good coincidence with the experiments. Furthermore, the ISM and the NISM were well clarified and improved. The microscale stress and strain in ferrite and martensite are approximately normal distributions due to the deformation incompatibility. The simulations verified that martensite carries much higher stress than ferrite. The mean value of strain in martensite is smaller than that in ferrite. And the strain variances of ferrite and martensite are similar. A larger variation range of stress triaxiality in ferrite indicates that the ferrite has gone through a more complex stress state. While the martensite has been approaching from the tension–compression state to the uniaxial-tension state. Consequently, the strain localization and damage initiation are predicted to be preferentially through ferrite compared to martensite, which is in good agreement with the results of the in situ tensile test. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the deformation incompatibility of the DP steel, especially in which the volume fraction of martensite is larger than that of ferrite. And it has theoretical significance for accurately predicting the micromechanical deformation behavior of multi-phase materials.

        Physicochemical Characterization and an Injection Formulation Study of Water Insoluble ZCVI4-2, a Novel NO-Donor Anticancer Compound

        ZCVI4-2 was a novel nitric oxide-releasing glycosyl derivative of oleanolic acid that displayed strong cytotoxicity selectively against human hepatocellular carcinoma in vitro and in vivo. In this study, ZCVI4-2 was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry,powder X-ray diffractometry, Raman spectroscopy, hygroscopicity and stability. A high performance liquid chromatography method was also established for the quantitative determination of solubility and additional stability profile of ZCVI4-2. ZCVI4-2 was found to be an amorphous and stable solid with low solubility of less than 10 μg/mL. Based on the solubilization tests that included methods of cosolvency and micellization, the solution mixture of 5% Solutol HS-15, 5% 1, 2-propylene glycol and 5% anhydrous ethanol was determined to be the system for the preparation of the ZCVI4-2 early injection solution. The effect of pH, temperature, light and injectable isotonic glucose or NaCl solution on ZCVI4-2 injection was also investigated. Good stability was observed at all testing conditions. Under the conditions studied, the NO-releasing rate and amount of ZCVI4-2 from the early injection solution in rat plasma demonstrated a promising therapeutic efficacy while maintaining a good safety profile.

        Effect of calcination atmospheres on the catalytic performance of nano-CeO2 in direct synthesis of DMC from methanol and CO2

        Nano-CeO2 was prepared through the calcination of Ce(OH)3 precursor in different atmospheres (H2, Ar, air, O2), which was prepared by a hydrothermal method, and then used as catalysts in the direct synthesis of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) from methanol and CO2. The results indicated that the catalyst calcined in O2 (CeO2-O2) showed an optimum catalytic performance, and the yield of DMC reached to 1.304mmol/mmolcat. In addition, reaction temperature and weight of catalyst were optimized. Based on characterizations of the catalysts, the ratio of Ce(IV)/Ce(III) and Lewis acid-base property of nano-CeO2 catalyst could be adjusted through different calcination atmosphere treatment. It was determined that the higher activity of CeO2-O2 catalyst is mainly attributed to its higher ratio of Ce(IV)/Ce(III) as well as abundant and moderate intensity Lewis acid base sites.

        Conduction Heating of Boron Alloyed Steel in Application for Hot Stamping

        In traditional hot stamping process, heating of the sheet by radiation heating occupies most of cycle time, which limits the application of hot stamping in automotive industry. Thus a faster heating method has great significance on the hot stamping. The conduction heating overcomes shortage of the radiation heating because of higher heating rate and greater energy efficiency. It attracts increasing attention in the application of heating blanks in hot stamping. In the present study, a movable conduction heating device on die was designed in terms of the Joule’s Law. Heating experiments of boron alloyed steel were performed using the developed device. Heating rate and uniform temperature region were investigated in the non-heat preservation condition (NHPC) and the heat preservation condition (HPC). The results revealed that in the HPC, the heating rate was improved by 13.1 °C/s. In addition, the length of the uniform temperature region was lengthened by 15 mm. It was demonstrated that the HPC was preferred. Furthermore, it was indicated that the mechanical properties of the blanks in uniform temperature region of the conduction heating were also superior to that of the radiation heating.

        Effect of Tensile Deformation of Austenite on the Morphology and Strength of Lath Martensite

        A hot-rolled steel, 22SiMn2TiB, was employed to study the effect of austenite deformation on the micro-structure and strength of the subsequently formed lath martensite. It was revealed that the sizes of the mar-tensite packet, block and lath were refined by the tensile deformation of austenite at temperatures above 850 °C. With the increase of the deformation temperature, the packet size increased, whereas the block size decreased. The width of the lath was independent of the prior austenite grain size and the deformation temperature. The refinement of martensite blocks was considered to strengthen the ausformed martensite.
