An effective and applicable method for the regeneration of used commercial full-scale honeycomb monolith catalysts in China (V2O5–WO3/TiO2) is firstly reported. The de-ionized water and dilute sulfuric acid solution with a relatively low concentration (pH = 2) are potent reagent to regenerated the catalysts used for about 30,000 h in coal-fired power plant. All samples were systematically characterized by TEM,N2 adsorption/desorption, EDX, FT-IR and XPS techniques. The evaluation results reveal that the activity of the used catalysts can be obviously improved after regeneration processes. Moreover, the regenerated catalysts possess superior activity under different gas hourly space velocity (GHSV), and SO2 oxidation rate is lower than 1% in all cases. The regeneration method can remove the deposits, restore active sites and prevent nanoparticles aggregation as well as active phases leaching. Overall, these processes have promised as effective approaches for industrial V2O5–WO3/TiO2 catalysts regeneration.

Color Adjustment Based on Support Vector Regression for Multi-View Video
Huadong Sun,Xuesong Jin,Zhipeng Fan,Lizhi Zhang,Qian Wu 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.1
Significant color discrepancies between the different camera views can be observed in multi-view video sequences. In this paper, a color adjustment algorithm based on support vector regression is proposed. A mapping function is established by extracted feature points from original-image and target-image. Then the mapping function is applied to the original image to obtain the corrected image. Experimental results show that the proposed method can produce good correction result. It also shows that the color differences between multi-view video can be effectively reduced by SVR.
Monitoring and Cause Analysis of Tread Abnormal Wear in a Metro Line
Heji Zhang,Guiming Mei,Hengyu Wang,Wenjian Wang,Zefeng Wen,Xuesong Jin 한국도시철도학회 2014 IJAR Vol.2 No.2
Abnormal wera of tread is a commonly seen problem in the operation of metro systems. It was found that abnormal wear of tread widely exists on vehicles in a line of Beijing metro. The two main types of abnormal wear are “w” shape wear and narrow grooves on tread. It was found that hardness of the tread is strongly correlated with abnormal wear. Monitoring was conducted to watch the growth of abnormal wear on tread surface. Monitoring results show that abnormal wear of tread disappeared after changing brake shoes. Analysis showed that hardness of brake shoes have a great effect on tread wear. The competition between the wear of wheel tread caused by brake shoes and rail head was discussed to explain the reason of commonly seen abnormal wear of tread in metro systems.
Asymmetric coaxial three‑coil wireless power transmission system optimization
Dongdong Zhang,Xuesong Li,Jie Yang,Xiang Li,Thomas Wu 전력전자학회 2023 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.23 No.9
With the rapid development of wireless power transmission (WPT) technology and the demand for a wide range of applications, the common two-coil system is becoming increasingly mature. However, the monotonous structure of two-coil systems limits their development. By incorporating relay coils, the distance of power transmission, efficiency, and electromagnetic field (EMF) leakage can be effectively improved. In this paper, the three-coil system is analyzed, and the relay coil parameters are optimized by an evolutionary algorithm. After that, based on the coil optimization, the compensation capacitance of the relay coil is analyzed and an analytical formula of the compensation capacitance of the optimized relay coil is obtained. The results show that the parameter-optimized system reduces current by 86.9%, increases efficiency by 10%, and suppresses EMF leakage by 18 dB. Meanwhile, the capacitor optimization further improves the transmission efficiency of the system.

Recently, road traffic congestion is becoming a serious urban phenomenon, leading to massive adverse impacts on the ecology and economy. Therefore, solving this problem has drawn public attention throughout the world. One new promising solution is to take full advantage of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). In this study, we propose a new traffic congestion detection and quantification method based on vehicle clustering and fuzzy assessment in VANET environment. To enhance real-time performance, this method collects traffic information by vehicle clustering. The average speed, road density, and average stop delay are selected as the characteristic parameters for traffic state identification. We use a comprehensive fuzzy assessment based on the three indicators to determine the road congestion condition. Simulation results show that the proposed method can precisely reflect the road condition and is more accurate and stable compared to existing algorithms.

In an attempt to shift the optimal pH of the xylanase B (XynB) from Aspergillus niger towards alkalinity, target mutation sites were selected by alignment between Aspergillus niger xylanase B and other xylanases that have alkalophilic pH optima that highlight charged residues in the eight-residues-longer loop in the alkalophilic xylanase. Multiple engineered XynB mutants were created by site-directed mutagenesis with substitutions Q164K and Q164K+D117N. The variant XynB-117 had the highest optimum pH (at 5.5), which corresponded to a basic 0.5 pH unit shift when compared with the wild-type enzyme. However, the optimal pH of the XynB- 164 mutation was not changed, similar to the wild type. These results suggest that the residues at positions 164 and 117 in the eight-residues-longer loop and the cleft``s edge are important in determining the pH optima of XynB from Aspergillus niger.

Although research on the osteal signaling pathway has progressed, understanding of gut microbialdependent signaling pathways for metabolic and immune bone homeostasis remains elusive. In recent years, the study of gut microbiota has shed light on our understanding of bone homeostasis. Here, we review microbiota-mediated gut-bone crosstalk via bone morphogenetic protein/SMADs, Wnt and OPG/receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligand signaling pathways in direct (translocation) and indirect (metabolite) manners. The mechanisms underlying gut microbiota involvement in these signaling pathways are relevant in immune responses, secretion of hormones, fate of osteoblasts and osteoclasts and absorption of calcium. Collectively, we propose a signaling network for maintaining a dynamic homeostasis between the skeletal system and the gut ecosystem. Additionally, the role of gut microbial improvement by dietary intervention in osteal signaling pathways has also been elucidated. This review provides unique resources from the gut microbial perspective for the discovery of new strategies for further improving treatment of bone diseases by increasing the abundance of targeted gut microbiota.
The collapse deformation control of granite residual soil in tunnel surrounding rock: A case study
Zhen Huang,Juncai Huang,Jiabing Zhang,Xuesong Li,Huanyu Zheng,Xiaofei Liu 대한토목학회 2024 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.28 No.5
Since it is difficult to control tunnel construction in weak and broken surrounding rock, the large deformation of tunnel surrounding rock has always been a great danger to construction safety. In this study, the characteristics of a tunnel collapse deformation and its causal factors are analysed as an example of a large deformation accident in a tunnel with granite residual soil in the surrounding rock. First, a support vector regression algorithm optimized by the genetic annealing algorithm (GASA-SVR) is used to construct a back-analysis model of the surrounding rock mechanical parameters. Then, based on the field measured data, the surrounding rock mechanical parameters of the tunnel are inverted. Finally, the finite element method is used to simulate different surrounding rock deformation control schemes, and the optimal deformation control measures are obtained. The results show that the simulated annealing algorithm (SA) enhances the local search capability of the genetic algorithm (GA) so that the hyperparameter optimization solution of the support vector regression (SVR) is the global optimal solution. The parameters obtained from the inversion of the GASA-SVR model are simulated in PLAXIS3D within 4.0% of the measured values in the field. With the application of optimized support measures at the site, the deformation of the surrounding rock has been effectively controlled.
