새로운 25종의 Imazethapyr 유도체, (2-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)-3-(N-methyl-N-(X)치환 -phenylaminooxoacetyl)-5-methylpyridine)들을 합성하여 치환기(X) 변화에 따른 발아 전 후, 피(Echinochla crus-galli.)의 제초활성에 미치는 3-(N-methyl-N-(X)치환 -phenylaminoozoacetyl) group의 영향을 검토한 바, 발아 전보다 발아 후의 제초활성에 더 큰 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 발아 후의 제초활성은 X-치환기의 전자밀게 효과와 입체상수(E_s)에 의존적이었으며 가장 큰 제초활성을 나타내는 화합물로는 bulky(E_s<O)하고 전자밀게 (б<O)가 치환된 화합물, 15(4-t-butyl group)와 20(3,5-dimethyl group)이었다. 그리고 높은 제초활성을 나타낼 것으로 예상되는 화합물의 조건들이 검토되었다. New twenty five Imazethapyr derivatives, [2-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)-3-(N-methyl-N-X(sub.)-phenylaminooxoacetyl)-5-methylpyridine] were synthesized. and The quantitative structure activity relationships (QSARs) between their post-emergence herbicidal activity(pI_50) values in vivo against Barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli) and physicochemical parameters of substituents(X) of 3-(N-methyl-N-X(sub.)-phenylaminoo-xoacetyl) group have been studied. From the basis on the findings, in case of post-emergence, the activities were dependent on the steric constant(E_s<θ)and electron donating (o<O) effect by subsitituents(X) of 3-(N-methyl-N-X(sub.)phenylaminooxacetyl) group. Therefore, The most effective compound, 15 (4-t-butyl group) and 20 (3,5-dimethyl group) were examined in this study. And the conditions on the compounds predicted to show higher herbicidal activity were also discussed.

In cholestatic rats, effects of phenobarbital or cholic acid on hepatic microsomal cytochrome p-450 and b_5 were investigated. The total contents of both cytochrome p-450 and cytochrome b_5 were decreased after bile duct ligation and the administration of estradiol. When cholic acid or phenobarbital was adminstrated in cholestatic rats, the decrease of cytochrome p-450 was prevented. The effects of cholic acid or phenobarbital on both ring-hydroxylation and N-hydroxylation of AAF in cholestatic rat hepatic microsomal fraction were studied. N-hydroxylation of AAF in bile duct ligated rat liver microsomes was reduced by 34%, but ring-hydroxylation was increased by 51%. In estradiol administrated rat, both ring-hydroxylation and N-hydroxylation of AAD was increased by 20 to 25%. In cholic acid administration, both ring-hydroxylation and N-hydroxylation was increased by about 10%. N-hydroxylation of AAF in phenobarbital treated rats was reduced more than ring-hydroxylation was reduced compared to the bile duct ligated group. Estradiol treated group which administrated with cholic acid or phenobarbital exhibited inhibited effects of N-hydroxylation.

New seventeen imazapyr derivatives, 2-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)-3-(N-methyl-N-X(sub.)-phenylaminooxoacetyl)pyridine, 6 were synthesized and their pre-emergence herbicidal activity(pI_(50) in vivo against Corn (Zea mays L.) and Pigweed (Amaranthus viridis L.) were studied by the pot test under paddly conditions. (quantitative structure activity relationships (QSARs) were analyzed using the physicochemical parameters of substituent(X) on the phenyl ring of 3-(N-methyl-N-X(sub.)-phenylaminooxoacetyl) group and regression analysis. The herbicidal activities were related to the steric effect of X-substituent. The effect was rationalized by paraholic function of MR and L₁, where the optimal values were MR=5.56 (Zea mays L.) and L₁=3.34 Å (Amaranthus viridis L.). Among them, 2,5-difluoro substituted compound, 6i showed good herbicidal activity against Pigweed with excellent tolerance to Corn.

<P>To investigate whether lactic acid bacteria (LAB) play a role in reducing the concentrations of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) and its precursors during kimchi production, experimental kimchi prepared with added Lactobacillus sakei, Lactobacillus curvatus, and Lactobacillus brevis was periodically monitored for 20 days to analyze the concentrations of NDMA, nitrite, dimethylamine (DMA), nitrate, and biogenic amines. LAB species in MRS broth with and without NDMA or NaNO2 were grown and NDMA and nitrite concentrations studied. The amounts of NDMA, nitrite, DMA, nitrate, and biogenic amines remaining in the LAB-fortified kimchi decreased significantly relative to that of the control kimchi. The effects of L. sakei and L curvatus on the reduction of NDMA concentration in kimchi were higher than that of L. brevis. These LAB species might be indirectly reducing the amounts of NDMA in LAB-fortified kimchi by inhibiting the formation of NDMA precursors originating from kimchi. Backgrounds: The bacterial overgrowth might be associated with chronic pancreatitis. This study was to evaluate the prevalence and characteristics of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) in patients with chronic pancreatitis. Methods: 36 patients with chronic pancreatitis and 49 healthy controls undergoing the hydrogen (H<SUB>2</SUB>)-methane (CH<SUB>4</SUB>) lactulose breath test (LBT) were reviewed. The LBT positivity (+) indicating the presence of SIBO, gas types, bowel symptom questionnaire, laboratory and radiologic results were surveyed. The LBT+ was (1) an increase in the breath H<SUB>2</SUB> (≥20 ppm) or CH<SUB>4</SUB> (≥10 ppm) over the baseline or (2) a baseline H<SUB>2</SUB> (≥20 ppm) or CH<SUB>4</SUB> (≥10 ppm) within 90 min after lactulose load. Results: LBT+ was significantly higher in the patients (17/36) than in controls (1¾9) (47.2% vs. 26.5%, P < 0.05). During LBT, the H<SUB>2</SUB> levels between 0 and 105 min were significantly higher in patients than in controls. Among LBT+ patients, 11 (64.7%), 1 (5.9%), 5 (29.4%) were in the LBT (H<SUB>2</SUB>)+, (CH<SUB>4</SUB>)+, (mixed)+ groups, respectively. The LBT+ group had significantly higher scores of flatus than those of the LBT- group. Considering the subtypes of LBT, the LBT (mixed)+ group had higher symptom scores of significance or tendency in hard stool, strain, urgency, and flatus than LBT- group The laboratory and radiologic features were not significantly different between LBT+ and LBT- groups. Conclusions: SIBO is common in patients in chronic pancreatitis. Especially, excretions of mixed H<SUB>2</SUB> and CH<SUB>4</SUB> appear to be related with deterioration of intestinal symptoms.
白鼠에 있어서 Hepatic Microsomal Cytochrome P-450에 대한 Diazepam, Cimetidine 및 Sulpiride의 영향

Cytochrome P-450 is a terminal oxidase of the hepatic microsomal monooxygenase system associated with the oxidative biotransformation of a varity of lipophilic endogenous and exogenous compounds, and generally is assayed by CO-binding spectro-photometry of dithionite-reduced samples. In well fed normal male rats with or without stress condition, the dffect of antiulcer drug; cimetidine, sulpiride and diazepam on the level of microsomal cytochrome P-450 were determined. Only stress condition produced on significant effect in cytochrome P-450 contents. Administration of cimetidine, sulpiride and diazepam in this condition caused a 44.1%~87.5% increment in cytochrome P-450, diazepam produced the most increase. After diazepam treatment of rats, the peak position of cytochrome P-450 shifted to a longer wave length of 452 nm.

The Objective of this study was conducted to investigate the reaction characteristics of dry and pyrolysis process for sewage sludge treatment. The important conditions include running time of pyrolysis, running time of dry and pyrolysis process, water content of sewage sludge, total solids amount of sewage sludge(TS%), condition of pyrolysis temperature. Most reaction velocities in sewage sludge are first equation, it assumed the first order and elucidated the kinetics. This was the basis of characteristics analysis of sewage sludge reaction mechanism. As the result of analysis on it, it increases in reaction velocity constant less and less total solids amount of sewage sludge by pyrolysis process.
