      • A study of user data integrity during acquisition of Android devices

        At the time of this writing, Android devices are widely used, and many studies considering methods of forensic acquisition of data from Android devices have been conducted. Similarly, a diverse collection of smartphone forensic tools has also been introduced. However, studies conducted thus far do not normally guarantee data integrity required for digital forensic investigations. Therefore, this work uses a previously proposed method of Android device acquisition utilizing 'Recovery Mode'. This work evaluates Android Recovery Mode variables that potentially compromise data integrity at the time of data acquisition. Based on the conducted analysis, an Android data acquisition tool that ensures the integrity of acquired data is developed, which is demonstrated in a case study to test tool's ability to preserve data integrity.

      • 개질 천연 고분자 응집제에 관한 연구

        수용성 고분자 chitosan은 폐수로부터 현탁물질을 처리하기 위한 효과적인 응집제로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. chitosan은 충분한 양을 확보할 수 있고 무독성이며 2차 오염이 없어 응집제로서 매우 유용하다. 본 연구의 목적은 고기능성 신소재인 분자량 분획 수용성 고분자 chitosan을 분자량별로 각각 100㎎/ℓ로 제조하여 0.1wt%-kaolin 현탁액, 0.1wt%-egg albumin 제조폐수 및 두부공장폐수에 응집제로 사용하여 최적 적용 조건을 검토하였다. 모든 폐수의 응집을 위한 최적 pH는 5, 제조폐수의 응집처리 후 상등액의 투과율은 모두 95% 이상, 두부공장폐수는 약 80%의 투과율을 나타내었다. chitosan blendmer의 경우 chitosan과 CMC(100㎎/ℓ)의 혼합비가 2 : 1 일 때 응집효과가 가장 뛰어났다. Chitosan modified natural polymers can be used as an effective coagulant for the removal of suspended and dissolved solids from wastewater, and doesn't occurred secondary pollution. The present investigation was to evaluate optimum condition for treatment of suspended and dissolved solids from wastewater using plain chitosan and modified chitosan blendmer. Optimum condition for coagulating kaolin suspension, egg albumin suspension and tofu wastewater was pH 5. The highest transmittance of 0.1wt%-kaolin suspension, 0.1wt%-egg albumin suspension and tofu wastewater showed 98.4%(at Mw 800,000Cs), 96.38%(at Mw 200,000Cs) and 79.62%(at Mw 400,000Cs), respectively. In case of chitosan blendmer (CMC : Cs = 1 : 2) the highest transmittance of 0.1wt%-kaolin suspension, 0.1wt%-egg albumin suspension and tofu wastewater showed 95.94%(at Mw 800,000Cs), 95.06%(at Mw 200,000Cs) and 78.38%(at Mw 400,000Cs), respectively.

      • 동화를 이용한 웹 구성 활동이 유아의 어휘력에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of fairy tale using webbing activation on reading vocabulary capacity of Young Children. The pretest-posttest control group design was used for this research. In the experimental group, webbing activation on contents after reading fairy tale was applied while comparison group followed ordinary class schedule without webbing activation. The subject were 60 of five years old children(31 boys, 29 girls) sampled form two kindergarten in J city located in the southern part of Korea. A total of 10 fairy tale listening sessions were executed. Before and after this program, pretest scores and posttest ones were obtained using vocabulary test. ANCOVA's using pretest as a covariance were applied for the statistical analyses. The results from the analyses were as follows: The children of experimental group using webbing activation showed higher scores in vocabulary test than the control group.

      • 梔子大黃湯과 茵蔯梔子湯 Extract가 白鼠의 肝損傷에 미치는 影響

        An attempt was made to evaluate the effects of Chijadaewhangtang extract (CDE) and Inchinchijatang extract (ICE) on the recovery of hepatotoxicity induced acute treatment of carbon tetrachloride and results were as follows: 1. When rats of carbon tetrachloride-intoxication were treated with CDE and ICE, the serum aspartate aminotransferase activities released from liver were decreased. In ICE treated group, there were significant decrement after 12 hours and more fast return to normal values in comparison with CDE treated group. 2. In CDE and ICE-treated group, as compared with only carbon tetrachloride-treated group there were inhibition of serum alanine aminotransferase elevation and significant decrement was observed in ICE treated group after 48 hours and CDE treated group after 72 hours. 3. Serum alkaline phosphatase values were significantly diminished in CDE and ICE-treated group compared with only carbon tetrachloride intoxicated group. Meaningful diminution was observed in ICE administered group after 48 hours and CDE administered group after 96 hours. 4. Significant decrement of serum lactate dehydrogenase elevation after 96 hours was observed in CDE and ICE-treated group and more fast recover to normal values. 5. Administration of CDE and ICE shortened prothrombin time of plasma and significant recovery was showed in ICE treated group after 72 hours and CDE treated group after 96 hours. From these results, the recuperative effects of CDE and ICE on carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatotoxicity could be verified experimentally.

Tuber Yield per 10a were significantly affected in the plot of clear polyethylene film+compromise treatment.

        Effect of surface modification of silica nanoparticles by silane coupling agent on decontamination foam stability

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The effect of surface modification of silica nanoparticles by Dimethyldichlorosilane (DMDCS) on decontamination foam stability was investigated by the measurement of decaying foam volume with time using a Foamscan. The hydrophobicity of silica nanoparticles modified by DMDCS was characterized by active ratio via a floating test and contact angle analysis. Contact angle measurement has shown that silica nanoparticles surface become more hydrophobic as DMDCS concentration increases. Foam stability test in unmodified silica particles-surfactant mixtures revealed that silica nanoparticles-surfactant stabilized foams are much more stable than surfactant-stabilized foams and certain level of surfactant concentration is required for the synergy between silica nanoparticle and surfactant. In foam stability test with modified silica particle-surfactant mixtures, it was found that silica nanoparticles with the proper level of hydrophobicity shows the best performance in foam stability and this result was supported by optical and fluorescence microscope images.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Surface modification of silica nanoparticles was characterized by active ratio. </LI> <LI> Effect of surface modified silica nanoparticles on foam stability was investigated. </LI> <LI> Foam stability was identified through optical and fluorescence microscope images. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Comparison of Organic Carbon Composition in Profile by Using Solid <sup>13</sup>C CPNMR Spectroscopy in Volcanic Ash Soil

        Soil organic carbon (SOC) has the potential to promote the soil quality for sustainability and mitigation of global warming. There is little information on organic carbon composition despite of having resistance of carbon degradation in soil. In this study, to understand the effect of volcanic ash on organic carbon composition and quantity in soil, we investigated characteristics of volcanic soil and compared organic carbon composition of soil and humic extract by using $^{13}C$-CPMAS-NMR spectra under soil profiles of Namweon series in Jeju. SOC contents of inner soil profiles were 134.8, 101.3, and 27.4 g C $kg^{-1}$ at the layer of depth 10-20, 70-80 and 90-100 cm, respectively. These layers were significantly different to soil pH, oxalate Al contents, and soil moisture contents. Alkyl C/O-alkyl C ratio in soil was higher than that of humic extracts, which was decreased below soil depth. Aromaticity of soil and humic extract was ranged from 29-38 and 24-32%, which was highest at the humic extract of 70-80 cm in soil depth. These results indicate that the changes of SOC in volcanic ash soil resulted from alteration of organic composition by pyrolysis and stability of organic carbon by allophane in volcanic ash soil.

      • Suppression of the Ly6 Antigens Expression on P815 Mastocytoma Cells by Expressing Antisense RNA

        Ly6항원은 T세포, B세포, 대식세포와 같은 여러 면역기능을 담당하는 세포의 표면에 glycosyl phosphatidylinositol결합형태로 발현된다. 활성화된 대식세포와 T 림파구는 보다 증가된 Ly6항원의 발현을 보여준다. 여러 다른 면역세포에서 이 항원의 정확한 기능을 연구하기 위하여, antisense RNA 기법을 이용하여 Ly6항원의 발현이 억제된 세포를 얻고자 시도하였다. DBA/2생쥐 (H-2^d)에서 기원된mastocytoma인 P815세포를 pNeoSRαⅡ-Ly6(-)백터, 또는 pFRSVSRα-Ly6(-)와 pSV2neo plasmid DNA 유전자 전달을 행하였다. 15개의 G418에 대한 저항성을 갖는 clone을 얻었으며, 이들을 flow cytometry분석과 Southern blot분석을 하였다. Southern blot으로 분석한 6개의 clone들 모두가 Ly6 cDNA를 갖고 있으며, 또한 neomycin resistance유전자를 갖고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 모든 클론을 FACS분석법으로 Ly6항원의 발현을 조사한 결과, 한 클론이 Ly6항원의 발현이 현저히 억제된 것으로 밝허졌다. 이 클론은 CTL에 대한 민감성과 allo-MHC반응을 유도하는 능력을 비교하는데 이용될 것이다.

        ER-associated CTRP1 regulates mitochondrial fission via interaction with DRP1

        C1q/TNF-related protein 1 (CTRP1) is a CTRP family member that has collagenous and globular C1q-like domains. The secreted form of CTRP1 is known to be associated with cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, but its cellular roles have not yet been elucidated. Here, we showed that cytosolic CTRP1 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane and that knockout or depletion of CTRP1 leads to mitochondrial fission defects, as demonstrated by mitochondrial elongation. Mitochondrial fission events are known to occur through an interaction between mitochondria and the ER, but we do not know whether the ER and/or its associated proteins participate directly in the entire mitochondrial fission event. Interestingly, we herein showed that ablation of CTRP1 suppresses the recruitment of DRP1 to mitochondria and provided evidence suggesting that the ER–mitochondrion interaction is required for the proper regulation of mitochondrial morphology. We further report that CTRP1 inactivation-induced mitochondrial fission defects induce apoptotic resistance and neuronal degeneration, which are also associated with ablation of DRP1. These results demonstrate for the first time that cytosolic CTRP1 is an ER transmembrane protein that acts as a key regulator of mitochondrial fission, providing new insight into the etiology of metabolic and neurodegenerative disorders.
