        한국무속의 '신병'에 대한 진단분류연구

        To study nosologically the Korean shaman's initiation sickness, 'Shin-Byong', the authors investigated 29 shamans with Symptom Check List-90-R(SCL-90-R) and questionnaire without visiting and interviewed 70 shamans using SCL-90-R, questionnaire and The Schedule for Affective Disorder and Schizophrenia-Lifetime(SADS-L). All shamans were located in Seoul. The results were as follows : 1) Among symptom groups of SCL-90-R, 'Shin-Byong' were associated with higher scores in depression, somatization, psychoticism and hostility group in descending order. 2) With DSM-Ⅲ-R classification, 87.2% of 'Shin-Byong' cases were mood disorders, Another 8.6% of cases were somatization and dissociative disorders and two disorders were related with dissociative phenomenon. Considering the diagnosis of manic episodes in this study, it seems to be a part of dissociative phenomenon, 'Shin-Byong' is the syndrome that is mainly composed of depression and disorders, which are related with dissociative phenomenon. 3) Shamans have teleologic thinking that 'Shin-Byong' is the phenomenon to receive spirits and diagnose intuitively. They think the main therapeutic method is recieving spirits, In conclusion, 'Shin-Byong' isn't a real disease entity but it is a shamanistic disease concept transformed during the shamanistic therapeutic process for depression patients with high dissociative tendency and dissociative disorder.

        혈관질환 정보관리 시스템

        As medical technology progresses rapidly, there is a rise in the average age along with the Korean dietary lifestyle becoming more westernized, which leads to an increase in the number of vascular disease patients in Korea. Thus, we need to manage the medical information of a disease systematically in order to diagnose and treat constructively. However, since there has been no standardized method of man agement to date, a great deal of information could not be properly utilized nor studied. Therefore, the departments of Cardiology, Radiology and Neurology of Samsung Seoul Hospital recently got together to develop an information management system called the Vascular Data System. This program was developed to be run on win98 O/S, upper Pentium Ⅲ, and upper 128 MB Memory, and its source code is Dephi 4.0. It was configured for the user to set the configurations as well as do a variety of search and analysis. If this program were to be updated continuously, it may be used extensively as well as in various parts of clinical research activities.

      • 의료용 X-선 장치의 기준규격에 대한 최근 경향

        The quality control for radiation generator must be performed because radiation has both faces of merit and demerit. If the quality control is not performed, it bring about life shortening of X-ray equipment and increase of exposure dose of patient. and so, the Korean Government has performed the quality control of diagnostic X-ray equipment by pre-inspection and post inspection. For quality control, standards are required. Recently, new standards in medical X-ray equipment were amended and previous standards were abolished. In this paper, we introduce, analyze these new standards and compare these with previous standards. The results are as follows: - Standards in diagnostic X-ray equipment, diagnostic X-ray generator and dental diagnostic X-ray generator were unified into standards in medical X-ray equipment. - The latest international standards (IEC601-1(1995)) were reflected. - Standards for electromagnetic wave damage were established. - Standards in inverter X-ray equipment were established. - Inspection standards of tube voltage, tube current, exposure time and mAs were amended on equal terms with those of IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) and JIS(Japan Industrial Standards) For keeping up the best equipment performance and reducing exposure dose of patient, It seems necessary that medical center performs voluntarily periodical inspection through selecting needful test items of new standards in medical X-ray equipment.

        브라켓 접착시 광중합방식에 따른 전단결합강도와 파절양상 비교

        기존의 가시광선 중합기와 비교해서 plasma arc light와 LED 방식의 중합기를 이용해 브라켓을 치아표면에 접착한 후 탈락시키는 실험을 시행해 각각의 중합방식별로 전단결합강도와 접착파절양상을 비교함으로써 임상에서의 유용성을 평가하고자 하였다. 교정치료를 위해 발거한 상, 하악 소구치 60개를 윈통형의 레진블록에 매몰하여 시편을 제작하였다. 광중합형 접착레진인 Transbond XT를 이용하여 광중합 방식별로 조건(가시광선 중합기는 40초, LED방식의 중합기는 20초, 그리고 plasma arc light 방식의 중합기는 3초) 에 따라 브라켓을 접착한 후 만능물성실험기로 전단결합강도를 측정하고 브라켓 기저면을 광학현미경으로 관찰해 접착파절양상을 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 가시광선 중합방식과 LED 중합방식으로 중합시킨 군간에 전단결합강도의 유의성 있는 차이는 없지만 plasma arc Light 방식으로 중합시킨 군은 앞의 두 군에 비해 유의성이 있게 작은 값을 나타내었다(p>0.05). 2. 가시광선 중합방식으로 중합한 군과 LED 방식을 이용한 군에서는 파절양상이 거의 유사하게 나타났다. 두 군 모두 잔류접착제가 치아면에만 있는 경우가 제일 적은 비율을 보였으며 브라켓 기저면에 50% 이상의 접착제가 남아 있는 양상이 더 큰 비율을 보였다. 3. Plasma arc light 로 중합시킨 경우에는 접착제가 브라켓 기저면에 50% 이하로 남아있는 양상이 큰 비율로 나타났으며 잔류 접착제 전체가 치아면에 남아 있는 경우는 15%였다. 이상의 실험결과 plasma arc light를 이용한 중합 방식이 가시광선이나 LED 방식을 이용한 중합 방식에 비해 유의성 있게(p>0.05) 낮은 전단결합강도를 보였으나 세 방식 모두 임상적으로 사용하기에 충분한 전단결합강도를 보여 유용하게 사용할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of a plasma arc light and light emitting diode (LED), compared with shear bond strength and the failure pattern of brackets bonded with visible light in direct bonding. Brackets were bonded with Transbond XT to 60 human premolars embedded in the resin blocks according to different light-curing methods. Then, the shear bond strength of each group was measured using a universal testing machine (Instron) and the adhesive failure pattern after debonding was visually examined by light microscope. The results were as follows: 1. The shear bond strength showed no significant difference between the visible light and light emitting diode, but the plasma arc light exhibited a significantly lower shear bond strength compared with the visible light and light emitting diode. 2. In the visible light and light emitting diode, adhesive failure patterns were similar. Bond failure occurred more frequently at the enamel-adhesive interface. 3. The bonding failure of brackets bonded with plasma arc light occurred more frequently at the bracket-adhesive interface. The results of this study suggest that plasma arc light, light emitting diode and visible light are all clinically useful in the direct bonding of orthodontic brackets.

      • 운동감각능력과 농구·배구의 기초능력과의 관계

        The articles I have surveyed so far say that a correlation between motor ability and kinesthetic is contradictory among scholars. Therefore the purpose of this dissertation is to discover a correlation between motor ability and kinesthetic. To test motor ability, I surveyed and measured such basic skills as pass accuracy and bound ball shooting of basketball, and service from the limited area and pass accuracy of volleyball. To test kinesthetic, I surveyed and measured such four skills as abduction of arm 135˚, 45˚position sense of body, 30㎏ strength grip rebirth, 150㎝ broad jump. As Subjects of the test, I chose fifty eleventh grade students of a certain high school in Taejon to test these skills. The following are the results of the test: 1. I have discovered a high correlation between motor ability and kinesthetic as follows: Basketball : Correlation between pass accuracy and 45˚ position sense of body: ν=0.36 Volleyball : Correlation between service from the limited area and 30㎏ strength grip rebirth: ν=-0.41 2. I have discovered a low correlation between motor ability and kinesthetic as follows: Basketball : Correlation between pass accuracy and 150㎝ broad jump : ν=0.29 Volleyball : Correlation between service from the limited area and abduction of arm 135˚(ν=-0.28), pass accuracy and abduction of arm 135˚(ν=-0.24), and pass accuracy and 45˚ position sense of body(ν=0.25) 3. I have hardly discovered a correlation between motor ability and kinesthetic in the tests of other skills.

      • 하수 방류수 살균소독을 위한 무전극 UV Lamp의 개발

        하수방류수 살균소독에 이용되는 UV 램프를 기존의 전극용보다 효율을 높이고 수명이 긴 무전극 UV 램프를 제작하고 그 성능을 알아보았다. 우선 활성물질을 변화시키면서 제조한 램프의 UV강도 및 온도의 변화를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 활성물질이 Hg/Ind의 무게비 95/5로 만든 램프를 250분간 운전한 결과 UV 강도 300 mW/㎤ 및 표면온도 200-250 ℃로 가장 안정적인 결과를 가져왔다. 그러나 무전극 램프를 장시간 발광시켰을 경우 램프의 표면온도가 상승하기 때문에 실제 하수처리공정에 사용하기 위하여 냉각이 가능한 이중관 형태로 제작하여 UV강도와 온도 변화특성도 알아보았다. 또한 제작된 무전극 UV lamp를 하수 방류수의 살균소독을 위하여 대장균(E-coli.)으로 실험한 결과 99.9% 이상의 살균효율을 보였다.

        자외선 (UVB) 노출 증가에 대한 피부암 위해도 예측 모델의 적용

        A decrease in stratospheric ozone probably caused by chloroflurocarbons (CFCs) emissions, has been observed large parts of the globe. It is generally accepted that if ozone levels in the stratosphere are depleted, greater amounts of shortwave ultraviolet radiation-B (UVB) will reach the earth's surface, resulting in increased incidence of nonmelanoma skin cancer. In this study, we evaluated several mathematical models, such as a power and an exponential model, and a geometric model considering the surface area of a human body part and ages for the prediction of skin cancer incidence caused by exposure to the UVB radiation. These models basically estimated the risk of skin cancer based on those measurements of the local ozone in stratosphere and UVB. Both were measured at a part of Seoul with a Dobson ozone spectrometer and Robertson-Berger UV Biometer for 1995. As a result, we calculated the point estimation applying a biological amplification factor (BAF), UVB radiation and other factors. We used a Monte-Carlo simulation technique with assumption on the distribution of each considered factor. The sensitivity analysis of model by there components conducted using Gaussian sensitivity method. The annual integral of UVB radiation was 2275 MED (minimal erythema dose)/yr. Also, an estimate of the annual amount of UVB reaching the earth's surface at a korea's latitude and altitude was 3328 MED/yr. The values of the radiation amplification factor (RAF) were ranged from 0.9 to 1.5 in Seoul. To give the effective factors required to model the prediction of skin cancer incidence caused by exposure to the UVB radiation in Korea, we studied the pros and cons of above mentioned models with the application of those parameters measured in Seoul, Korea.

      • 지하수 중 자연방사성물질의 위해성 관리에 대한 고찰

        At present, the health risks associated with the natural radionuclides of ground water have become a concern as potential social problems. However, there are no regulatory actions or control strategies for such risks. Therefore, we have investigated and discussed the risks and associated management strategies for radionuclides in other countries. US EPA has proposed MCL (300 pCi/L) and AMCL (4,000 pCi/L) for radon, and 30 ppb for uranium, 15 pCi/L for gross-alpha and 5 pCi/L for radium as final MCLs. Also, Canada, WHO and European countries have their inherent management levels. Finally, we suggested several criteria for setting guidelines in our countries including exposure related criteria such as geological distribution, occurrence, exposure probability distribution, exposure population and multimedia exposure assessment, acceptable risk, and cost-benefit analysis. The national-scale exposure and risk assessment, and economic analysis should be conducted for producing and aggregating the representative information on these criteria.
