        Far-Side 실사고 분석과 승객거동해석 연구

        Occupant behaviors and body contact with vehicle interior parts are main injury mechanism in far-side collisions. In vehicle side impact accident where the crash accident occurs on the opposite side of the vehicle from the a particular occupant, it is exposed in terms of relatively larger lateral motion to interact with the opposite side of the vehicle structure. The challenge of minimizing motions of upper body and injury risk according to a direct contact is a primary occupant protection research. This study has performed a data analysis of real-world accident database extracted from the 2016~2020 CISS database and a parametric investigation of impact angles and occupant kinematics in far-side lateral and oblique impact simulations. A detailed data analysis was conducted to reveal the relationship among the accident and injury data. Database analysis and computational far-side impact results proposed the fundamental vehicle design for safety improvement in far-side collisions.

        트리암시놀론 아세토나이드 안내주입술의 2년 장기효과

        Purpose: To evaluate the 2 year safety and efficacy of intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide in macular edema associated with diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion. Methods: Medical records of patients who underwent an intravitreal injection of 4 milligrams of triamcinolone acetonide for macular edema due to diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion from September 2002 to March 2004 were reviewed retrospectively. Out of 108 eyes, 50 eyes, which allowed for continuous follow-up, were chosen. The measured results included visual acuity (ETDRS), macular thickness (OCT), intraocular pressure, formation or progression of cataract, and additional intervention. Results: Out of 50 eyes, 17 eyes (34%) showed steady improvement of visual acuity and macular thickness in during the follow up period. Out of 17 eyes, 15 eyes underwent additional laser photocoagulation before or after injection. Significant elevation of IOP developed in 5 eyes (10%). Cataract progressed in 7 phakic eyes (14%) required operation. Conclusions: Additional treatments such as laser photocoagualtion appear to enhance the duration of efficacy in intrvitreal triamcinolone for macular edema.

        CRASHWORTHINESS EVALUATION OF A HYDROGEN BUS FUEL SYSTEM

        For the successful introduction of buses fueled by hydrogen, the safety of hydrogen buses is being discussed and investigated by governments and research institutes. This study is focused on evaluation approaches for hydrogen bus crashworthiness with hydrogen fuel systems located on the roof structure. Based on rollover safety regulations, the primary countermeasures are not only to ensure that there is no contact between the hydrogen fuel system and other parts of the vehicle or the ground, but also to confirm adequate occupant residual space for occupant protection during rollover accidents. Thus, the experimental concept to check safety countermeasures along with computational approaches and procedures are discussed with regards to the rollover test loading conditions in this study. A rollover test setup process was investigated and a hydrogen bus rollover test was performed. Furthermore, a hydrogen bus FE model has been developed and the structural response was verified. The results and conclusion provide the conceptual framework to evaluate hydrogen bus crashworthiness.

        본태눈꺼풀연축 환자에서 디스포트와 보톡스 효과 비교

        Purpose: To compare the clinical efficacy, duration of effect, and safety of Dysport and Botox for patients with essential blepharospasm using functional disability scale. Methods: Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of essential blepharospasm who had received Botox (Allergan, USA) from September 2006 to May 2007 were enrolled in this study. We switched from Botox to Dysport (Ipsen, UK) after the botulinum effect of previous injection had disappeared and compared the clinical efficacy of two drugs. We used a 2.5:1 Dysport:Botox conversion ratio. The clinical efficacy of the drugs treatment was evaluated using a functional disability scale. We compared the duration of the effect and the safety of the two drugs. Results: The study included 48 patients (43 women, 5 men). There was no significant difference in mean functional disability scores or in any item of the functional disability scale. There was no significant difference in duration of effect between Botox (100.2±37.34 days) and Dysport (99.1±39.7days). There was also no significant difference in frequency of adverse reaction between Botox (13%) and Dysport (10%). Conclusions: When a dose conversion of 2.5:1 Dysport:Botox was used for essential blepharospasm patients, the two drugs displayed almost identical clinical efficacy, duration of effect, and safety.

        자원제약과 혁신 성과, 그리고 혁신 효율성에 관한 연구

        자원제약과 혁신 성과에 대한 오랜 논의에도 불구하고 아직 합의가 이루어지지 않았으며, 혁신은 단순히 성과가 아닌 투입 대비 산출로 계산된 효율성으로 측정되어야 한다는 주장에도 불구하고 자원제약의 영향은 혁신 성과의 차원에서만 논의되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 자원제약과 혁신 성과의 관계를 검증함과 함께, 자원 제약과 혁신 효율성의 관계를 함께 검증하고자 하였다. 제조업에 속한 1,334개의 기업을 분석에 활용하였으 며, 요인분석을 통해 자본 제약과 역량 제약의 두 자원제약을 독립변수로 설정하였다. 자료포락분석을 수행 하여 혁신 효율성의 값을 도출한 후, 혁신 성과와 혁신 효율성을 각각 종속변수로 설정하여 회귀분석을 수행 하였다. 분석 결과 자본 제약과 역량 제약은 혁신 성과와 혁신 효율성에 모두 유의한 음(-)의 영향이 검증되 었다. 또한 자원제약과 혁신 성과, 그리고 자원제약과 혁신 효율성의 관계를 바탕으로 기업의 혁신 투입에 대해 추론하였다. Despite discussions on resource constraints and innovation performance has been vigorous, research has yet to make a consensus.Though studies argue that innovation should be measured with efficiency calculated by ratio of input to output rather than outcome itself, in addition, the impact of resource constraints is discussed only in terms of innovation performance. Accordingly, this study sought to verify not only the relationship between resource constraints and innovation performance, but also the relationship between the constraints and innovation efficiency. This study utilized 1,334 manufacturing firm data, and established two types of resource constraints (capital constraints and capability constraints) by performing factor analysis. After performing data envelopment analysis to derive values of innovation efficiency, regression analysis was conducted with establishing innovation performance and innovation efficiency as dependent variables, respectively. The results demonstrates that capital constraints and capability constraints have significant negative effects on both innovation performance and efficiency. This study also discussed the firms’ innovation inputs based on overall relationship among resource constraints, innovation performance, and innovation efficiency.

        Expression Profiles of Retinoblastoma Protein and p27Kip1 According to HER2 Amplification Status in Primary Breast Cancer

        Purpose: Human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2)/neu amplification affects the cell proliferation through the modulation of multiple G1 cell cycle regulators in breast tumor cells. We performed this study to investigate whether retinoblastoma protein (pRB) and p27Kip1 were differently expressed according to the HER2 amplification status in human breast cancer. Methods: HER2 amplification was assayed by fluorescence in situ hybridization and the expression of cell cycle regulators were assayed by immunohistochemistry on 153 consecutive invasive breast cancers. The proliferative activity of breast cancer was analyzed according to the HER2 amplification and cell cycle protein expression status. Results: HER2 amplification was observed in 39 (25.5%) of 153 breast cancers. In the HER2 amplified breast cancers, the pRB expression was significantly increased (p=0.011) whereas there was no significant relationship between HER2 amplification and p27Kip1 expression. There was an inverse correlation between pRB expression and Ki-67 labeling index in the HER2 amplified breast cancers (p=0.036). In contrast, Ki67 labeling index was significantly decreased as p27Kip1 expression increased in HER2 non-amplified breast cancers (p=0.028). In HER2 non-amplified breast cancers, we could not observe any association between the pRB expression and Ki67 labeling index. Conclusion: The proliferation of the breast cancers was associated with pRB expression in HER2 amplified tumors whereas it was associated with p27Kip1 expression in HER2 non-amplified tumors. The results of the current study indicate that the cell proliferative activity of the breast cancer is under different growth signal pathways according to HER2 amplification status.
