Effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for angina pectoris: An overview of systematic reviews
Qi Wen-Chuan,Fu Hong-Juan,Sun Rui-Rui,Li Xiang,Cai Ding-Jun,Wang Chao,Liang Fan-Rong 한국한의학연구원 2022 Integrative Medicine Research Vol.11 No.3
Background: The number of systematic reviews or meta-analyses (SRs/MAs) on the effectiveness of acupuncture for angina pectoris (AP) is increasing. Due to the inconsistent conclusions and unknown quality of these SRs/MAs, this overview aimed to systematically evaluate and synthesize the existing SRs/MAs, attempting to provide more reliable evidence for the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of AP. Methods: SRs/MAs were searched via eight databases from inception to March 14, 2022. The risk of bias was evaluated using the Risk of Bias in Systematic reviews (ROBIS) tool. The quality of the methodology, reporting, and evidence were assessed by the Assess Systematic Reviews 2 (AMSTAR-2), the Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis for Acupuncture (PRISMA-A), and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) system, respectively. Results: Sixteen SRs/MAs were included and fifteen SRs/MAs were considered being of critically low quality according to AMSTAR-2. Only three SRs/MAs were rated at low risk of bias. No study reported all the items listed in the PRISMA-A checklist. No high-quality evidence with GRADE assessment was found. With the low-quality evidence, acupuncture combined with other interventions was superior to monotherapy (medications or Chinese medicine) in the angina symptom and electrocardiogram recovery. No adverse effects owing to acupuncture were reported. Conclusions: Owing to the lack of high-quality evidence provided by the current SRs/MAs, the effective-ness of acupuncture for AP still warrants further proof. Further researches with more critical design and methodology are needed for providing more convincing evidence. Biological Control of Apple Ring Rot on Fruit by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 9001
Yan Li,Li-Rong Han,Yuanyuan Zhang,Xuechi Fu,Ruhong Mei,Qi Wang,Lixia Zhang,Xinyi Chen 한국식물병리학회 2013 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.29 No.2
Apple ring rot disease, caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea (Moug. ex. Fr) Ces. et de Not., is one of the most important diseases on apple fruits. In this study, strain 9001 isolated from healthy apple fruits from an infested orchard was evaluated for its biocontrol activity against apple ring rot in vitro and in vivo. Strain 9001 showed obvious antagonistic activity to B. dothidea YL-1 when plated on potato dextrose agar. Soaking healthy apples in the bacterial suspensions of strain 9001 prior to artificial inoculation of fungal pathogen resulted in a dramatic decrease in disease incidence when compared to the control. Moreover, either field application in the growth season or postharvest treatment of apples from infected orchards with bacterial suspensions of strain 9001 resulted in significantly reduced disease incidence within the storage period for 4 months at room temperature. Based on the phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA and the gyrA gene, strain 9001 was identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. These results indicated that B. amyloliquefaciens 9001 could be a promising agent in biocontrol of apple ring rot on fruit, which might help to minimize the yield loss of apple fruit during the long postharvest period.

The relation between the paper formation analyzed by image process system and smoothness, compressibility, uniform of ink absorption is studied. The results indicate that the paper with bad formation has higher apparent bulk than the paper with good formation. The bad formation of paper results in the nonuniform calendering and decrease of the compressibility. The bad formation of paper also results in deformation and omission of printing dots, which affects the reproduction of the printing images.
Direct ethanol production from dextran industrial waste water by Zymomonas mobilis
Ming-xiong He,Han Qin,Xiao-bo Yin,Zhi-yong Ruan,Fu-rong Tan,Bo Wu,Zong-xia Shui,Li-chun Dai,Qi-chun Hu 한국화학공학회 2014 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.31 No.11
The direct production of ethanol from dextran industrial waste water was investigated by using Zymomonasmobilis via batch and semi-continuous fermentation mode. In batch fermentation, pretreated waste water (unsterilizedand sterilized), pH value (3.8 and 6.0), and Mg2+(with and without) was compared with OD600, sugar and ethanol con-centration. After 24 h fermentation, sugar in the dextran waste water was almost exhausted, and the amount of ethanolaccumulated reached 24.33-29.92 g/l, which is nearly 99% of the theoretical yield of ethanol. Kinetic parameters ofZ. mobilis in batch fermentation were also investigated. The raw dextran waste water was also used in semi-continuousfermentation. After 48 h fermentation, the production of ethanol was 28.65 g/l. These results indicated that dextranwaste water may be used as a candidate substrate and Z. mobilis could convert the raw material into ethanol directly.
