      • A case of idiopathic hemihypertrophy with hemihypertrichosis

        A 4-year-old boy had hemihypertrophy and hemihypertrichosis on his left leg since he was 10 months old. Any other family history or past medical history was not noted. The circumference of left calf was 2cm thicker than right calf, and magnetic resonance image also showed hypertrophic muscles. Folliscopic image revealed increased density and thickness of hairs on his left calf. No other systemic abnormalities were detected. The patient was diagnosed idiopathic hemihypertrophy with hemihypertrichosis. Hemihypertrophy is a rare congenital abnormality, showing a fast growth of one side of the body. It usually accompanies diseases such as Beckwith- Wiedemann syndrome, Silver-Russell syndrome, Proteus syndrome. Hypertrichosis shows excessive growth of body hair over the normal range. Three types of congenital hypertrichosis were reported, congenital hypertrichosis lanuginosa, congenital hypertrichosis terminalis and nevoid hypertrichosis. Nevoid hypertrichosis is similar to hypertrichosis in our patient. Co-presence of hemihypertrophy and hemihypertrichosis is very rare and the etiology is unclear. 4 cases of hemihypertrophy with hemihypertrichosis without any abnormalities, so-called idiopathic hemihypertrophy with hemihypertrichosis, were reported. It needs further evaluation to determine whether this condition is a just incidental coexistence or a new syndrome. Herein, we report a case of idiopathic hemihypertrophy with hemihypertrichosis.

        합성동사의 관용 해석과 문법 처리 문제에 대한 소고

        이 논문은 관용적 의미를 갖는 ‘-어’형 합성동사의 형성 및 문법 처리 문제에 대하여 새로운 접근 방식을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 어휘론적 관점에 따르면 합성동사는 어휘부에 등재된, 통사부의 원자적 입력 단위에 해당한다. 그러나 이들은 다양한 측면에서 분리 가능하여, 이른바 어휘 충실성을 위배한다. 이 논문은 분산형태론 관점에서 합성동사를 두 개의 어근이 국면 핵인 v에 결합하는 구조를 이루는 것으로 분석한다. 해당 구조는 통사부 이후 개념접합부에서 하나의 단일한 의미해석 단위를 이루어 비합성적 의미해석의 가능성을 갖게 된다. 이러한 분석은 합성동사가 관용적인 의미해석을 가짐에도 불구하고 분리 가능한, 외견상 모순적인 속성을 자연스럽게 설명해 줄 수 있다. This paper, from the perspective of Distributed Morphology, addresses how to explain idiomatic interpretations of compound verbs in Korean. In terms of the Lexicalist framework, compound verbs are supposed to be syntactic atoms listed in the lexicon. Contrary to this premise, they exhibit the characteristics that are separable in various ways, thus apparently violating the so-called Lexical Integrity Hypothesis. This paper argues that a compound verb has a structure in which a Root phrase consisting of two verb roots is combined with a v, thus forming a single phasal structure. Due to this structure, it may behave as a single unit for a semantic interpretation search implemented after the syntactic operation, so that it can receive an idiomatic reading. According to this analysis, the apparent contradiction that compound verbs are idiomatic in meaning but nevertheless are separable can naturally fall into place.

      • HSS STI-CMP적용을 위한이중 패드의 최적화

        As the device geometry shrinks to the deep submicron region, chemical mechanical polishing(CMP) planarization become a more essential technique of advanced ULSI process. Also, CMP process was required for the global planarization of inter-metal dielectric(IMD), inter-level dielectric(ILD) layers and interconnections with free-defect. Especially, the complete global planarization of IMD, ILD and interconnections can be achieved only with the CMP process. However, as the IMD and ILD layer gets thinner, several problems were found in the CMP process. It does have various problems such as dishing effect, torn oxide defects and nitride residues in oxide. So, it leads to severe circuit failure, which affects yield. In this paper, we studied the characteristics of polishing pad, which can apply STI-CMP process for global planarization of multilevel interconnection structure. Also, we investigated the effects of different sets of polishing pad, such as soft and hard pad. As an experimental result, hard pad showed center-fast type, and soft pad showed edge-fast type. Totally, the defect level has shown little difference, however, the counts of scratch was defected less than 2 on JR111 pad. Through the above result, we can select optimum polishing pad, so we can expect the improvement of throughput and device yield.

      • 흡연에 의한 급성 호산구성 폐렴 2예

        최근 흡연을 시작한 젊은 성언에서 급성 호산구성 폐렴의 발생에 대한 증례가 보고되고 있다. 급성 호산구성 폐렴은 대개 발열을 동반하기 때문에 초기에는 감염성 폐렴으로 잘못 진단, 치료되는 경우가 많다. 아직 정확한 병태 생리 및 조직학적 소견은 밝혀져 있지 않지만 병력 청취 및 임상 양상, 방사선 소견의 관찰을 통해 급성 호산구성 폐렴을 의심하고, 진단을 위해 기관지 폐포 세척액 검사를 시행한다면 좀 더 쉽게 진단 내릴 수 있을 것이다. 본 저자들은 최근 처음 시작한 흡연에 의해 발생한 급성 호산구성 폐렴을 진단하고, 스테로이드를 투여하여 성공적으로 치료한 환자 2예를 경험하였기에 이를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Acute eosinophilic pneumonia(AEP) is characterized by acute febrile respiratory illness associated with diffuse pulmonary infiltration and pulmonary eosinophilia. The specific etiology for acute eosinophilic pneumonia is elusive. By some investigators, cigarette smoking is suggested as a causative substance which can cause AEP. In recent, the authors experienced two cases of AEP following cigarette smoking. Both cases had characteristic features including age around 20 years, new onset smoking before occurance of AEP, diffuse infiltration on chest radiography, pulmonary eosinophilia based on bronchoalveolar lavage and acute improvement after steroid therapy. These clinical features are resemble with previous smoking induced AEP case reports. Base on these clinical features, cigarette smoking associated AEP could be diagnosed more easily.

        유동성 복합레진의 임상적 용도에 관한 검토 연구

        유동성 복합레진은 치면 열구 전색이나 작은 교합면 우식의 예방적 레진 수복 및 깊은 와동의 이장재로 사용할 수 있으나 이에 대한 임상적 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 유동성 복합레진이 치면 열구 전색, 예방적 레진 수복, 깊은 와동의 이장의 세 가지 임상적 용도로 적용될 경우, 기존의 재료와 비교한 대체가능성과 타당성을 검토할 목적으로, 각 용도에서의 양재료들이 나타내는 미세누출 양상을 비교분석하였다. 교합면이 건전한 120개의 발거된 대구치를 6개의 군으로 나누어 군당 20개씩 시편을 구성하였다. 제 1군과 2군에는 각각 Concise와 Tetric flow로 치면 열구 전색을, 제 3군에는 Z-100과 Concise , 제 4군에는 Tetric flow로 예방적 레진 수복을 시행하였으며, 제 5군에는 Vitrebond, 제 6군에는 Tetric flow를 이장재로 이용하여 sandwich technique 수복을 시행하였다. 100회의 열 순환 및 색소 침투후 색소 침투 정도를 관찰하고 미세누출 정도를 판단하여 비교, 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 열구 전색재인 Concise와 유동성 복합레진인 Tetric flow로 각각 치면 열구 전색을 시행한 경우 미세누출의 차이가 나타나지 않았다(p>0.05). 2. 복합레진인 Z-100과 열구전색재인 Concise로 예방적 레진 수복을 시행한 군과 유동성 복합레진인 Tetric flow를 사용하여 sand-wich technique으로 복합레진 수복을 시행한 경우에도 양 군간에 미세누출의 차이는 나타나지 않았다(p>0.05). The purpose of this study was to compare the microleakae pattern of flowable composite resin to sealant composite resin used in preventive resin restoration and glass ionomer cement used as liner. 120 extracted sound human molars were divided into 6 groups : group 1 and 2:sealant ; group 3 and 4:preventive resin restoration ; group 5 and 6:sandwich technique restoration. For the experimental groups(group 2, 4 and 6), flowable composite resin(Tetric flow) was used. For the control group, Concise was used as sealant material(group 1), Z-100 with Concise were used as preventive resin restoration(group 3), and Vitrebond was used as cavity liner(group 5). All the restorations of each group was measured and statistically analyzed. The results of the present study were follows : 1. In group 1 and 2, there was no statistically significant difference in microleakage between Concise and Tetric flow(p>0.05). 2. In groups of preventive resin restorations, there was no statistically significant difference in microleakage between Z-100 with Concise and Tetric flow(p>0.05). 3. The microleakage of Vitrebond and Tetric flow used as liner showed no statistically significant difference(p>0.05).

      • 신경교세포 및 RAW 264.7 세포에서 Protein kinase의 활성에 의한 유도성 Nitric oxide synthase의 발현

        NO(nitric oxide) plays an important role as neurotransmitter or cytokine, and pathologic factor for some diseases by the large amount production with iNOS(inducible NO synthase) expression in macrophages or glial cells. The expression of iNOS is regulated by various cytokines, protein kinases and transcription factors. In this experiment, to investigate the roles of progein kinase and NF-kB for iNOS expression, the effects of PMA(phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate), cAMP, and various protein kinase inhibitors on LPS(lipopolysaccharide)-induced iNOS mRNAN expression and nuclear NF-kB binding complex were examined in C6 glial cells and RAW 264.7 cells. In C6 glial cells, iNOS mRNA expression by LPS was induced from 1 hour and peak at 3 hour after treatment. In RAW 264.7 cells, the mRNA was observed from 3 hour and peak at 6 hour. PMA enhanced markedly LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression and NF-kB binding complex in C6 glial cells, but did not much influence on LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression in RAW 264.7 cells, in spite of increased LPS-induced NF-kB binding complex at 30 min. cAMP(dibutyryl cAMP) did not much influence on LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression, by increased LPS-induced NF-kB binding complex in C6 glial cells. However, in RAW 264.7 cells, cAMP increased slightly LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression without change of NF-kB binding complex. Staurosporine did not influence on LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression and NF-kB binding complex in C6 glial cells, but in RAW 264.7 cells, decreased LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression and NF-kB binding complex. Ro-31-8220 did not much influence on LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression and NF-kB binding complex in C6 glial cells, but in RAW 264.7 cells, decreased significantly LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression in spite of increased LPS-induced NF-kB binding complex for 3hours. G 6976 did not much influence on LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression with decreased NF-kB binding complex in C6 glial cells, but in RAW 264.7 cells, decreased iNOS mRNA expression without influence on LPS-induced NF-kB binding complex. Genistein did not influence on LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression and NF-kB binding complex in C6 glial cells, but in RAW 264.7 cells, decreased LPS-induced iNOS mRNA expression inspite of increased NF-kB binding complex. These results suggest that LPS-induced regulation of iNOS expression or NF-kB activity in C6 glial cells, might be different from RAW 264.7 cells through various protein kinases or other factors.

        Oral screen 의 임상 적용에 대한 고찰

        Oral screen은 가장 기본적인 기능성 장치로서, 근육의 변화를 도모하여 비정상적인 근육형태와 연관된 초기부정교합의 개선에 적합하다. 이것은 혀와 buccinator mechanism사이의 근평형을 향상시켜, 정상적인 성장이 가능하도록 한다. Oral screen은 매일 밤, 그리고 가능하다면 낮에도 장착하여야 한다. 장치의 효과는 구순폐쇄훈련을 시행함으로써 발휘된다. 장치를 장착하는 동안, 입술은 장치의 효과를 높이고 구순폐쇄를 향상시키기 위해 항상 접촉한 상태로 유지되어야 한다. 본 증례는 구호흡과 무력순을 보이며 각각 상악절치의 순측경사와 치은비대, 개방교합 양상을 보이는 2명의 어린이환자에게 구순폐쇄훈련을 병행하면서 oral screen을 장착한 결과, 구호흡경향이 줄어들어 치은부종이 감소하였고 구순의 근력과 길이는 증가하여 구순폐쇄가 원활해졌다. 아울러 상악 절치의 경사도가 감소되어 개방교합의 치료에 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 주요어 : oral screen, 무력순, 구순폐쇄훈련, 구호흡

      • CMP 공정에서 결함밀도 감소를 위한 POU 슬러리 필터의 특성과 탈이온수의 고분사법에 의한 패드수명의 개선

        As the integrated circuit device shrinks to smaller dimensions, chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process has been widely used to planarize dielectric layers, which was required for the global planarization of inter-metal dielectric (IMD) layer with free-defect. However, as the IMD layer gets thinner, micro-scratch lead to severe circuit failure which affect yield. CMP slurries can contain particles exceeding 1 ㎛ in size, which could cause micro-scratches are generated by agglomerated slurry, solidified and attached slurry in pipe line of slurry supply system. To prevent agglomerated slurry particle from inflow, we installed 0.5 ㎛ point of use (POU) filter, which is depth-type filter and has 80% filtering efficiency for the 1.0 ㎛ size particle. In this paper, we have studied the relationship between defect generation and polished wafer counts to understand the exact efficiency of the slurry filtration, and to find out the appropriated pad usage. Our experimental results of micro-scratch formation, it is shown that slurry filter plays an important role in determining consumable pad lifetime. The filter lifetime is dominated by the defects. We have concluded that slurry filter lifetime is fixed by the degree of generating defects, and it is impossible to prevent defect-causing particles perfectly through the depth-type filter. Thus, we suggest that it is necessary to optimize the slurry flow rate, and to install the high spray bar of de-ionized water (DIW) with high pressure, to overcome the weak-point of depth type filter.
